When moderating flagged comments, I don't give a crap if the comment's coming from a left-winger or a right-winger. Most of the dumped comments are personal abuse by one member to another, and that kind of stuff could come from my peeps just as easily as your peeps.
Like I said - usually you're pretty even-handed.
The last couple of months - not so much.
Stroll by the nooner thread. I reproduced a post by Axe that was deleted. If Mao or Vernon had typed the exact same thing, it would have been dumped. That is but one example.
Another would be dumping RiR for using the word "niggardly" which is synonymous with "stingy".
Ultimately, it's your site and as Commondense pointed out, the moderation is STILL a heckuva lot more fair than Freep.
I had given up on being critical of your moderation policy a long time ago simply because I think I get where you try and draw the line and I also understand that moderation is ultimately sujbective, which makes it very difficult.
The only reason I am making an issue of it now is that over the last 3 months I have seen a consistent bias and such bias, to the degree it has been exhibited, is out of character for you.
Just bringing it to your attention.
