Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Geithner's decision to pay the banks in full cost AIG -- and thus American taxpayers -- at least $13 billion. That's 40 percent of the $32.5 billion AIG paid to retire the swaps. Under the agreement, the government and its taxpayers became owners of the dubious CDOs, whose face value was $62 billion and for which AIG paid the market price of $29.6 billion.

Pretty cheap when you consider the Bush-Cheney crime syndicate pissed away a trillon or more in Iraq.

Pretty cheap when you consider the Bush-Cheney crime syndicate pissed away a trillon or more in Iraq.

???

How do you juxtapose the two? That's like saying, "$5/lb for apples is cheap when you consider Bush just paid $19/lb for a steak."

Some people just don't get that the idiotic Bush deflection is passe'. But if you are going to use it, at least use it in the proper context.

Sounds just like something that retard BigLeagueChew would say.

Not pretty cheap when you consider the total cost of AIG was $400 billion. This was just the part to redeem a small handful of the CDS's.

AIG and Goldman execs gave a lot of money to Obama's campaign, though. So LetusPrey will be giving them a pass. It's a good deal, to them.

GOBama!

Here's a little AIG timeline, chumly. Did I miss Obama being sworn in on September 15th, 2008? Wow.

Geithner is Obama's Treasury Secretary. Maybe you missed that.
