Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Just who are the Tea Partyers? And how far will the Republican establishment go to prevent the resurgence of Reagan conservatism?

Perot's "Reform Party" achieved 20% of the 1992 vote, enough to enable Democrat Bill Clinton to gain the White House. Incumbent George H.W. Bush was seen as an ultimate Washington insider who had distanced himself too much from the policies of the president who he had served for the preceding eight years. The Perotistas were people highly distrustful, fed up with Congress and Washington politics which they believed was ignoring them.

The GOP has a growing opportunity and they seem poised to squander it.

What a surprise - they are cut from the same profligate cloth as the DNC.

The Democratic Party is the ONLY one with oppurtunity. You are talking about political victory in years to come, the Democratic Party OWNS Washington NOW.

They need to be concerned with TAKING ADVANTAGE of what their constituents voted them in to do.

The only group squandering anything is the Democratic Party let time tick down before they lose complete control of DC.

The ability to pass the parties agenda is all that matters.

Republicans have oppurtunity as the definition of minority? You must be crazy.
