Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Americans are more likely to consider themselves conservative this year than they were in 2008, resulting in conservatives -- now 40% of the American public -- outnumbering moderates for the first time since 2004. While Gallup first documented this trend in June, the finding has been sustained through the third quarter.

BUT THE REPUBLICAN PARTY IS AT 20% blah blah blah blah.

This is a conservative country, expect attacks on Gallup to follow...

But, but, but...-Corky

I feel strong and healthy. Ready to set policy for the next seven years. LOL

"This is a conservative country"

YEAH!

One that over-borrows and doesn't save (doink).

This shouldn't surprise anybody. People would rather refer to themselves "conservative" when one of the other options is "liberal".

Some people could actually be liberal but can't stand the term or the label.

Redneck the government values don't reflect the people's values, or are you too dumb to realize this? How old are you, 12?

60% of the voters are liberal or moderate and 1/3 of the GOP is moderate and the NOPpers are running to the right of Ghengis khan. Brilliant.

Someone is supposed to be surprised that after the near miss of another Great Depression, lots of people tend to self-describe as "conservative" these days?

Wonder who?

Amazing "observation" isn't it....

"Liberals dying off"

Don't you fucktards wish......

That is because they looked at Bush in 2008 and said "if he is a Conservative, I must be a Liberal." Now, they are looking at the Democrats and saying "nope, I am not a Liberal either."

The most interesting part is not the 40% conservative or the 20% liberal, but the 37% moderate.

But then two of the more extreme folks on here called themselves moderates just last week. : )
