Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

The New York Yankees beat the Los Angeles Angels 5-2 Sunday to win the American League Championship Series and advance to the World Series against the National League champ Philadelphia Phillies. It's their first trip to the fall classic for the Yanks in six years.

It's hard for me to say this, as a Texas Rangers fan, but it's good to see the pinstripes back in the Series. I hope it goes seven games.

nyc is pretty crazy right now

Oh god Rcade I hope it goes to 7 as well (fun to watch) but I want to see the Yankees lose game 7 by either being blown out or losing an extremely close game on a series of terrible blunders.

I'm sick of all the brand new Yankees caps I'm sure to start seeing in central Illinois, some of whom are prolly the same people that are part of "Red Sox Nation", self proclaimed members of course.

Baseball is doing everything it can to kill itself.

If Girardi hadn't turned into Tony Larussa Jr. over the last two weeks with his idiotic over managing of the offense and mishandling of the bullpen, I'd feel alot better about this series. Yanks need to score alot of runs because Girardi will cost them at least one game if every game is close.

It always has, yet it never does.

I hope the Phillies win. I live a block off of Broad St. and want to see more riots.

Yanks will beat Philly easy. I'm thinking 5 games, maybe 6 if Philly gets really lucky...

All I can say is "Go Phillies!"

the phillies will phall in 7

Yawn. It's hockey season!

"It's hockey season"

tha means in phoenix it is now slightly below 100 at noon.

brrrr, get out the touks!

The Defending World Series Champs - The PHILLIES - will beat the Yankers in 6. We outmatch them in every way, especially teamwork. The current overpaid version of the Steinbuddies is in its "just glad to be here" phase. I will laugh with the utmost phlegm expulsion as their team and their stadium collapse simultaneously. GO PHILLIES!!

"On the whole, I'd rather be in Philadelphia."
- WC Fields, considering the grave instead

Go Phillies beat the snot out of them
Noe Yawkers.
I don't particulary like the Phillies, but have always hated the Yawkers...

Phillies are gonna do some dancing on the Yanks.

It'll be over early.

"Teamwork", pay checks and "glad to be here": That is your analysis? LOL.

The Yanks put away the 2nd best team in the league yesterday.

Up-towners against the down-towners. Make it a classic guys!

You should'nt call it the world series unless Cuba and Japan are permitted entry.

NUTCASE, that is sacrilege. WE ARE THE WORLD. We are the children.

Ensuring that the other 99.9% of the Country will completely forget about baseball.
Low ratings, low revenue, lowbrow.

It's football time son.

PS: Yankees Suck!

Beating 'second best' only makes you second best. When they can beat the BEST team (you know, the World Champions), then they'll be the best. Phillies in 6 over The Hype. Second best is probably the best you can hope for, much like in life.

PS: Yankees Suck!

One of briwo's 'broken clock' moments.

Yes, the Yankees suck!
