I don't know how getting a degree or Phd in Islamic Studies will benefit the country. LOL

But they do also offer degrees in business management and information technology. That's a good thing, I suppose.

Pakistan normally doesn't have suicide bombers, do they?

Not usually, no.

I thought the Taliban did their fighting in Afghanistan against local clans and tribes who were in opposition to the Taliban's strict method of rule and, of course, the Taliban always fought our U.S. military.

THOSE are Afghan taliban.

THESE are Pakistani-taliban.... TTP....

They have no links with the taliban the Americans are fighting.

In fact, they just call themselves "taliban" (and so do we for the sake of convenience). They used to be gangsters who decided to be "taliban" so they can get more cred and appear like real bad-guys.

Then they were infiltrated by Karzai's drug-lords who gave them money and weapons (American money which was meant for Afghan reconstruction) to create a mes inside Pakistan because Pakistan had the most effective heroin eradication program in the world.

And then ... now that they had some bad-guy cred going... we found them to have been infiltrated by Indian agents.

Indians will always hitch their wagon to any horse that can do damage inside Pakistan. So they gave them men, money, training and weapons.

In short, they are NOT the real taliban.

Who would have done a suicide boming like this one? A Taliban who crossed over into Pakistan or a Pakistani who sympathized with the Taliban?

Probably an Afghan who grew up here in some refugee camp.

We have over 4 million of them living here. Many now call themselves "Pakistani" since they were born here.

Anyway, they got their answer when their (taliban) headquarters fell on Saturday.

We upgraded our documentation procedure recently to try and weed out these worms. Seems to be working.
