Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

For the first time in recent years, voters trust Republicans more than Democrats on all 10 key electoral issues regularly tracked by Rasmussen Reports. The GOP holds double-digit advantages on five of them.

Trust is a strong word, but other than that...agreed.

Oh. Rasmussen. Yuck yuck

Yeah, that's why so many are leaving the Republican Party and why Democrats have replaced Republicans in the last two elections.

Not bad for a small regional party. We have no one to thank but Nancy, Harry and Barry. ;)

This poll shows that we still have hope, we just don't have change.

I trust the Republicans more than the Democrats but heck I trust my neurotic water loving Corgi-Terrier more than either one of them

"I trust the Republicans more than the Democrats "

When the GOP have done 180 degrees the opposite of their stated positions time and time again?

Polls? What polls?

Sincerely chunnel visioned,

-DR Left who just commented on poll ratings for GOP

Personally, I don't trust any of them. Doesn't matter to me which party they whore to.

Talk about a meaningless poll. Did the polls present "none of the above" as the solutions? GWB just spoke to an audience telling them to expect another attack from Pakistan. If that is the "Republican" direction, then Republicans need to be stopped as much as the other side.

Stop anyone who is propagating false fear in swine flu, Iran, terrorists - - domestic and foreign, NKorea, Climate catastophies, etc, etc.

The only hope the Rtards have of getting power is if they steal an election in some election for dog catcher in Alabama or some other white-trash state.

Meanwhile the only place they will have a majority is at a KKKlan rally or gay bath house.

I believe the democrats will lose their first governors seat next week in Virginia. Sorry about that.

Might be the week after next.

But they will certainly lose. No thanks to Obama and the Washington Post. The Washington Post ran about 14 articles favoring Deeds but he will still lose.

"I believe the democrats will lose their first governors seat next week in Virginia. Sorry about that."

Ya, it's a shame the Democrat governor's leaving to work for the DNC after being nominated by the Democrat President who won Virginia and routed John McCain in a landslide. :)

Who cares about Governors? GOP may pick up a few seats in 2010, as the out of power party does in midterms. But, with a 2-1 advantage in the House and 60-40 advantage in the Senate it won't hurt.

I'm sure Obama won't be a two term democratic president like Clinton. After all he's no Bill Clinton.

"I'm sure Obama won't be a two term democratic president like Clinton. "

That's what they said about Clinton

you know,

These polling companies have got to stop calling my girlfriends mom.

The sad thing is im not making this up.

She is incapable of having an oppinion that differs from the person she is speaking to.

thus.

If i state Boy its a nice day, she will without batting an eyelash agree with me.

If then her daughter hits me in the shoulder then says "stop that, mom, its pouring out side" she will then immediately agree with her daughter who is now glaring at me for messing with her mom.

its the last thing she heard.

What is absolutely terrifying is the woman is a dedicated voter.

Never misses.

I love the woman dearly, she is very sweet, never thinks twice about helping someone out.

But she is the tip of the iceberg of population that the founding fathers were rightly terrified of when they were deciding between representative and direct democracy.

so. when the pollsters call her, and its amazing how often they do, (i think they all know that if they call her they will get the answer that they really want) they know that the slightest slant to any question they ask, because she is incapable of maintaining an opinion of her own, will come through in her answer.

Not if they out fund ACORN to "get out the vote"

POLL: GOP'S FAVORABILITY AT ITS WORST IN A DECADE

A new CNN poll has some really bad news for the Republican Party, with their favorability number reaching its lowest in a decade.

Only 36% of people view the GOP favorably, with an outright majority of 54% viewing them unfavorably. By comparison, the Democratic Party is at 53% favorable to 41% unfavorable -- hardly a good omen for the Republicans if they want to make significant gains in 2010.

The last time the GOP was this bad in CNN's polling was in December 1998, in the heat of the impeachment battles, when they were at 31%-57%.
tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com

We have two elections for Governor comming up in Novemeber, one in NJ, and one in Virginia. These two elections might give us some insight into the 2010 elections.

On average the party the controlls the White House has lost 25 seats in the midterm elections since WWII.

With a high unemployment rate 2010 should be interesting.

The only polls the matter are the ones on election day.

"CNN and Rasmussen polls have contradictory results for Republicans in 2010 midterms"

....Rasmussen Polling Methodology starts with the answer Repubs want, and works its way backwards to see how they can get it........

......its similar to those Fox Surveys that say you get to decide, except they stack the options:

FOX WANTS YOU TELL US WHAT YOU THINK.
1. Obama is an idiot.
2. Obama is a Nigerian citizen.
3. Obama is an idiotic Nigerian citizen.
YOU DECIDE - WE REPORT !! ...Send in your answers now, and check out our FAIR AND BALANCED survey.

1. Obama is an idiot....NO
2. Obama is a Nigerian citizen....NO
3. Obama is an idiotic Nigerian citizen....NO

Obama is a liar....ABSOLUTELY, UNDENIABLY...YES!!!

www.theospark.net

Is this the same Rasmussen that has the GOPpers ahead in "generic" polls, while every other pollster, including those commissioned by FOX has them 4-10 points down?
They really have to expand their call list beyond the RNC staff directory.

Hmmm...when the GOP is in command, we trust the DNC more. Now that the DNC is in charge, we trust the GOP more. Maybe we just don't trust government.

And for the record, Ipsos and CNN were closer than Rasmussen last November. They were each a net .5% off, rasmussen was 1.3%
another rightie myth down the drain....

"tracked by Rasmussen Reports"

Move along folks, nothing to see here.

That anyone holds the GOP as superior in national security shows the ignorance of those who hold that concept. 911 should have been a wake up call, and the thousands of attacks on our troops should have been a constant alarm. Thousands have died needlessly from terrorist attacks under republican leadership.

Wait wait wait, Buffalo Bob, are you taking the stance that 9/11 was a terrorist operation?

I now know how Bob feels everyday. I'm confused.

I think he means that the US (under a republican POTUS) IS a terrorist operation.

Ahhhh thanks for saving me there Eberly. If what I thought BBob was saying was what he was actually saying, I wouldn't know what to believe anymore.

To be clear Andy....boob only thinks the US is a terrorist organization when a republican is in the WH. It doesn't matter what they actually do.

His keen and cutting edge objectivity really adds to this place doesn't it??

I never said it wasn't. I have been consistent in saying that I believe bin Laden planned 911, and had his personnel in the planes. I have always said that Bush merely let it happen, and actually thwarted any attempt to stop it--like ignoring memos and reports from credible sources. I think it was Silverstein who had the knowledge and the capability of planting charges to bring the buildings down in their footprints, and he may have had government help as well. The attacks were planned months in advance, giving Silverstein enough time to slowly plant the charges with government black ops pros as the labor. If the US government didn't help him, the Isreali government was certaqinly capable in that area. It wouldn't have taken more than 4 men--and time. There was elevator renovation going on at the time, providing excellent cover.

Facts are the fire was smoky and oxygen starved--nowhere near the point of weakening the steel in the structure so that it would all fail simultaneously--or at all. Facts are, there was melted steel at the site weeks after the event. Facts are Bush was against any investigation into 911--wouldn't testify under oath--wouldn't testify without Cheney present. Facts are the 911 commission has said their own report was not credible due to the fact that witnesses were not being truthful, and information was withheld.

To answer your question--was it terrorists? Yes. The terrorists names were Osama bin Laden, George W Bush, Dick Cheney, and Larry Silverstein as the leaders of various aspects of the plan. I guess you simply aren't aware of the close ties between Bush and the bin Laden family. George H.W. Bush was in a meeting with bin Ladens brother the day before the attacks at a business conference.

Eberly reveals his ignorance yet again. It isn't just republicans. I think Johnson lied about the Gulf of Tonkin incident and was responsible for the entire Vietnam War. Just as Bush is responsible for starting the war in Iraq and Afghanistan with no intention of ever finding his good friend Osama bin Laden. I think Nixon was responsible for carrying out that needless war and all the deaths from 1969 on. I think Obama is responsible for all the deaths in the current needless war from 2 weeks after he took office. I think you are capable of simply ignoring of all facts against your preconceived ideas, with nothing but name calling as your strong point in any debate.

It must really suck to live a life where everything is a conpiracy or caused by aliens.

Whenever I feel bad, I just think of da bOoB and and I am quickly reminded what a blessing it is to have a functional brain.

I think Nixon was responsible for carrying out that needless war and all the deaths from 1969 on.

Sounds nice, but the reality is that the troop levels started to fall from its Johnson era peaki when Nixon took office. Sorry, no youtube.com video, but it's the truth nonetheless, bOoB.

Wish Nixon had at least left a copy of his "secret plan to end the war".

Every soldier that died in Afghanistan or Iraq from terrorist attacks is on that list. If we weren't there, they wouldn't be dead. Those who are dying now are dying needlessly under democrat leadership. There aren't as many dead---yet---and the democrat are supposed to be getting us out. Let's hope it's not like Nixon got us out after promising to get us out of Vietnam---4 years later. We have nothing to win in Iraq or Afghanistan---zero.

Ok I'm lost on that acronym and I don't wanna look it up at work. Any hints, Timex?

I looked it up and google came up with nothing. Must be an inside joke

Actually, It is several books written.

Several books have been written about winnie the pooh, too. YOur point?

Several books about god have been written, yet you claim he doesn't exist? So tell me, is "several books written" mean it's necessarily true or not? You are very inconsistent on that point.

Didn't rcade warn you about posting the bush pedophilia stuff, bOoB? Well yes, he did. But it was more than 15 minutes ago, so you forgot. Just a friendly reminder.

rcade can kick me off this site anytime he feels like it. It's his site. He won't stop me from posting what I feel are important facts as long as I'm here. But you'll still be a Punk Boy whether I am here or not. Besides---you brought up HW Bushs pedophilia--not me--maybe he'll kick your punk ass off the site. Then you would be a Punk Boy who can't post on the DR.

;-)
