The pendulum will swing the Republicans back into office in 2010 and 2012....Its actually great entertainment to watch the left swoon over this empty suit knowing that the realization they got fucked is coming soon enough.

The Republicans have history on their side. In first midterm elections for the House since 1946 the incumbent president's party has lost an average of 24 seats, The Republicans need a net pickup of 41 to regain control but they've done that before and the remaining Southern Democrats are as endangered a species as North Eastern Republicans were last time around. The Democrats have nowhere to go but down, the Republicans nowhere to go but up. It remains to be seen whether 41 is a step too far and their asshole behavior will surely bring a backlash everywhere except where they can't lose anyway.
2010 - Senate. Any seats they pick up will probably be from Southern Democrats so the difference will hardly be noticeable.
2012 President - Dream on. I mean who do Republicans have that can get more than 44-45% of the popular vote and you can't win with that? They can't win without Ohio and even with it would almost certainly lose. Behaving like assholes will definitely cost them here.

We had 8 years of an empty suit in the White House, it's no wonder he insisted on ties and suits there to hide amongst the crowd. Restoring honor and dignity was the stated plan but it somehow morphed into Jeff Gannon, torture, looting the treasury for cronies, middle finger extended to the people, the military and the world in general, "Go fuck yourself", one dumb and mismanaged war based on lies, another one just mismanaged, warrantless wiretaps, Katrina, Alberto Gonzalez and Harriet Miers and on and on forever and ever, Amen.
