A nurse accused of visiting Internet suicide chat rooms and encouraging depressed people to kill themselves is now under investigation in two deaths. Investigators said William Melchert-Dinkel, 47, feigned compassion while offering step-by-step instructions on how people could take their lives. Any charges brought against him would test the limits of the First Amendment.
