Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

We are only nine months in to President Obama's eight year presidency and already the American rightwing has experienced a breakdown unlike anything experienced by the Left the entire eight years of gross incompetence by GWB/Cheney. How much lower can the GOP sink? How much angrier and vitriolic can you grassroots wingnuts become?
I have a theory that soon they are going to hit rock bottom. Not sure when. It certainly won't include the rightwing pundits who make so much money by stirring up the hatred. But the average GOPher man on the street will start losing vehemence over time. Which is a good for the GOP. Once the rage diminishes enough for them to intelligently engage the issues, that Party will finally be able to begin the process of rebuilding it's popular appeal.

Just thoughts running through my mind as I take a break from jury selection.

Despite all my rage
I still must succumb to old age

They are just a crabby old bunch of nincompoops. Their ways went the way of the dodo at least temporarily. Now they are stuck in a proverbial funk. I am so glad. They deserve to rot for a while

Larry

-Despite all my rage

Oh, great, now I've got that song in my head and I'm thinking about Whale Wars. Thanks.

Ah yes, the weekly rightwing rage thread by none other than Moder8. Why do insist on being such a little douche?

I'm sure the Only thing that will be missing from this Thread is Eberly commenting on the Anger of the Current Minority!

Other items to conveniently be missing from this Thread.

"Criticizing the President Emboldens the Enemy"
"Opposition to the Presidents Agenda is simply Hate"
"Either You with the President --- or with the Enemy"
"Democracy Brings Peace (or a Black President)"
"Fifty Years to Judge a President"
"Protestors are Traitors that should be tazed and beaten"

.

That is perhaps your most intelligent post ever NANC.

Elect a fairly liberal black man president and the right goes crazy....whodathunkit????

Other items to conveniently be missing from this Thread.

Obama is underfunding our Troops.

Obama is buying senior citizen support for heath care by paying them $250.00.

Gallup poll shows Hillary more popular than Obama.

LEAKED MEMO: 'ORGANICALLY' PRODUCE NETWORK TV TO PROMOTE GOVERNMENT 'SERVICE' AGENDA...

Obama loosens missile technology controls to China...

Residents Complain Obama's 4-Hour Visit to New Orleans a 'Glorified Flyover'

And immediately the angry rightwingers start attributing false positions in response to this thread. LOL. Makes my point more articulately than I ever could.
Honestly, the American Left as a whole has never descended into the depth of rage whichh the GOP currently is at. And the irony is that it is almost completely based on lies, and manipulated fears of pundits such as Rush and Beck. There is no intellectually honest basis for the rage to be so intense. Often through our history there have been "liberal" pursued, and it has never received this type of visceral rightwing reaction.
It really is remarkable.

Bless their little hearts.

Gotta love it.

Maybe you should have your "real car guy" write your posts.

Makes my point more articulately than I ever could.

I didn't think the one on top of your head could be improved.

More rightbaiting........

If making an accurate observation is considered "rightbaiting" then consider me a rightbaiter.

Once the rage diminishes enough for them to intelligently engage the issues, that Party will finally be able to begin the process of rebuilding it's popular appeal.

This didn't help.

But Ron Paul handled the situation intelligently, moving in the right direction:

Just proves there is nothing but air between the ears.

How much lower can the GOP sink?

......John McCain will divorce and shack up with Kate Gosselin.......

......it'll be McCain & Kate & Eight.......

.......it's not the eight that he was hoping for, but it's still showbiz.......

Well, the rage comes from being racist. Obviously. If I didn't want to hold the black man down on the plantashun, I would be able to see the wisdom of multitrillion dollar bailouts, and enormous expansion of government, with enormous tax increases to soon follow.

I wish Hillary Clinton had won. Sexism is easier to defend.

The Defendant, who forgot to plug the Meter was striking deal with the DA. Moder8 wins another $6.00 case that saved his client $4.00. Bravo!

Honest question to you rightwingers out there: Can any of you name a time during the disastrous GWB administration when the leftwing ever descended in to the depths of rage that now currently appear to be overwhelming the GOP? I mean I know sometimes we Lefties were pissed as hell. But it was NOTHING compared to what we have been seeing from you guys ever since President Obama assumed office.

Sure, dumbass. When Bush invaded Iraq with the blessing of the Congress.

Nothing like we're seeing now from the rightwing. Try again.

Sure, dumbass. When Bush invaded Iraq with the blessing of the Congress.

I guess it doesn't matter that all those concerns were, well, correct?

Unfortunately, the same can't be said for most of the shit the righties come up with against Obama.

But the average GOPher man on the street will start losing vehemence over time. Which is a good for the GOP.

I don't think the average "GOPher man" is the one to worry about. Every person I wouldn't describe any Republican I know as angry or full of rage. They disagree with Obama, but aren't taking it to the extreme. I have to read the news or come here to get exposed to that.

Moder is more of an optimist than I am. I see NO rock bottom for the radical right, no political place TOO ugly is the end result is getting that Black Dude Out Of The White House. Today's wingnuts are more than ready to sacrifice the health of the entire nation is it will put a momentary band-aid on their bleeding. herm

IF it will put ... you knew that. herm

But it does seem as if truth - oh, that old thing? - is a six-inch-high barrier to those uglies. If that have absolutely nothing real against their LEGITIMATELY elected president, why, make something up. herm

I guess it doesn't matter that all those concerns were, well, correct?

Then maybe the left should hold all that voted for it accountable, correct?

Then maybe the left should hold all that voted for it accountable, correct?

Yes, yes they should.

"Gallup poll shows Hillary more popular than Obama."

They're BOTH more popular than Ronald Reagan was at this point in his presidency

In addition, we are close to but have not yet reached Reagan era levels of unemployment. If Obama's so much like Reagan in this respect, why are the GOPiggies snorting?

Big deal. He's Black and gets a pass.

Does everyone notice the irony of a thread about rightwing anger being located directly below a thread by Rex expressing voluminous mindless rightwing anger because he feels Rcade treats rightwingers unfairly? LOL.

There is no intellectually honest basis for the rage to be so intense.

"Big deal. He's Black and gets a pass."

Why, then, did Reagan get a pass?

MODER-TURD,

You make the typical Lefty error. Because you were full of rage for eight years, you ASS-U-ME that now that we've switched teams, the rage has also switched.

Sorry, but your blind anger and hatred are all your own. Clowns like you nurtured hatred in your hearts towards Bush. Few, if any, on the right have done the same toward your Messiah.

Disagreeing with your Messiah on taxes, health care or Afghanistain is not hatred or racism. Usually, it's known as 'disagreeing.'

You have made a huge emotional investment in the wind

Why, then, did Reagan get a pass?

#39 | Posted by Danforth

Who gave him a pass? Link? Proof?

"Who gave him a pass? Link? Proof?"

Right after you show me the reams of rightwing writing excoriating Ronnie for unemployment numbers worse than Obama's.

Oh...that's right...IOKIYAR.

Seems as if Moder pushed ol' Vern's only button. If anyone needs a reason WHY we should have hated Bush, Dick, Karl, Ashy, Rummy and the entire ridiculous mafia, there are books. Molly Ivins and Al Franken come to mind. No one has yet come forth with a persuasive reason to hate an Obama who is slowly, wimpily, cautiously working for the common good. But the rightie rage is because he's half black. herm

"Few, if any, on the right have done the same toward your Messiah"

WHAT?! Do you watch the news? Do you hang out on this blog? (I know the answer to the second question is Yes. I have to assume, given some of the other comments you've made, that the answer to the former is also Yes.)

And he's not the Messiah to those who support him. Folks on the right wing coined that term. (I believe it began with an awful ad put out either by the McCain campaign or by some group who preferred that Senator McCain win.)

Rage? No, rage was the foaming at the mouth lefties during the Bush Administration. Now that was rage!

That was righteous indignation against a man who stole an election, allowed the worst attack in our history to occur, and then started two wars against random countries. You hated Obama since before he was even the candidate.

"And he's not the Messiah to those who support him. Folks on the right wing coined that term. (I believe it began with an awful ad put out either by the McCain campaign or by some group who preferred that Senator McCain win.)"

Wrong...check Farrakhan, (they removed the youtube video,) Pelosi (she said, "...he was sent by God to lead us..") and leftist journalists who said he was "godlike" or things like that. The McCain ad just showed some of those incidents.

"The Messiah"--that exact term was not said by anyone in power on the left. If you can prove me wrong, please do so. I'm ready to be educated. (That's a sincere comment.)

Who's "they" in "they removed the youtube video"?

Saying someone was sent by God happens all the time, no? The Messiah was coined because of much of Obama's early spiritual (ish) rhetoric, and because of the adoring crowds. Clearly, whoever coined it (as an attack ad bit) was very clever--witness its long life.

You hated Obama since before he was even the candidate.

Some of us hated the fact a JR. Senator in office less than four years, with ZERO experience running a city, county or state is suddenly qualified to be POTUS. Did authoring a failed Bill removing all troops from Iraq immediately not prove or at least give reasons of doubt?

I for one stated he was only 48, and there was no reason he couldn't have waited a term or two to pad his resume, before running for Pres. No hate, no racism, just some common sense.

It was a general YOU Crispee. Those are all very valid concerns IF you also did not support Palin.

#50...

Before she opened her mouth?lol On paper her resume was much stronger than Obamas though. In repect to the history and criteria when electing Presidents.

"On paper her resume was much stronger than Obamas though. "

Palin's resume was much stronger than Obama's?

By what measure...number of colleges it took to get a Bachelor's Degree?

Clowns like you nurtured hatred in your hearts towards Bush. Few, if any, on the right have done the same toward your Messiah.

You didn't actually type this with a straight face, did you?

How about political experience...

I try to duck ad hominem stuff - except of course when Cidney or the bogus paratrooper are involved - but I think what separates true rightie lunacy from mainstream Republican stupidity is the notion that you can put Sarah Palin's intellect (using the term loosely) alongside our legitimately elected president's. herm
