Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

The "Birther queen" has been slapped with a five-figure fine for "wasting the judicial resources" of the Middle District of Georgia, where she'd filed one of her numerous lawsuits demanding that President Obama prove his citizenship before deploying soldiers to Iraq and Afghanistan. The judgment, which calls Taitz's case and tactics "delusional": "Counsel Orly Taitz is hereby ordered to pay $20,000.00 to the United States, through the Middle District of Georgia Clerk's Office, within thirty days of the date of this Order as a sanction for her misconduct in violation of Rule 11 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure."

I find it in bad taste that they fined her $20,000. You should never fine the insane.

Should have been 20 mil to send a message.

Perhaps they'll forward the money to the Society for the Protection of the Criminally Inane.

The courts should do this to the ACLU!

"The courts should do this to the ACLU!"

Yeah, for when they defended Rush Limbaugh.

If Rush's conviction would have been upheld he probably couldn't become an owner of an NFL team, right???
So, if Rush got the team he'd owe it to the ACLU for helping him get off on drug charges.

Let me know when they put the dumb bitch in jail.

Good. But this is the exception rather than the rule. We could probably pay off the national debt just by findng attorneys for filling bullshit cases.

She will use this to make herself the victim and end up receiving far more in contributions than she has to pay the court.

Sarah Palin's A.G. designate...Oily Taints.

Perfect

You're right. There is a lot of unnecessary business litigation and family law shit in the courts. Only tort law polices itself.

What an embarrassment to the County of Orange which is probably the reddest County in the nation. I am amazed this whack job gets the republican party attention here and abroad.

Now that she is in Georgia, maybe she can team up with another nut like Cynthia McKinney and stop being a thorn to repubs.

I guess since liberalism is a mental disorder, we have the insane judging the insane. How appropriate. Now, where's that damn birth certificate, anyway?

Imagine having your teeth worked on by some crazy lunatic like Taitz? God help any libs dumb enough to talk politics.

And what should we do with the many frivolous lawsuits against Doctors?

Oh, that's different.

Fucking hypocrites.

Why don't they just take the case and get it overwith?

This is amazing!

What is Obama hiding?

"What is Obama hiding?"

He's a Kenyan, secret Muslim, communist socialist empire building radical Christina Black Panther. You didn't hear?

#18...

Man how I hate this bitch and the whack jobs who listen to her....

There are sooo many actual policies and statements--things that really happened or that Obama and this administration want to happen--for which to criticize this president... Folks shouldn't need added pipe dreams.

From what I understand, a California Judge already set a trail date for this for Jan 2010.

What's the best thing about that is the government had lawyers go before the court to try to get this thrown out but it's still there. The government is going to spend millions of tax payer money trying to defend and get these thrown out instead of just releasing the birth certificate.. lol

"What's the best thing about that is the government had lawyers go before the court to try to get this thrown out but it's still there. The government is going to spend millions of tax payer money trying to defend and get these thrown out instead of just releasing the birth certificate.. lol"

I'd love an accounting of what millions have been spent and where the millions have come from.

If she broke the Rule--she has to pay the fine.

She might be able to appeal or have it lowered, but from reading the link--she really did a number on the court.

If she defies the court and doesn't pay the fine--she could go to jail.

Then she gets more news attention.

Why don't you ask the REPUBLICAN Governor of Hawaii why it can't be released?

Idiots!

I'm sure you are pretty good at the english language but I did say "going" to spend but as soon as it is spent and after the government release man hours, amount of lawyers appointed to the case, and travel expenses, I will revisit this thread and give you an accounting.

Thanks, T_Man. I will appreciate that.

(Sorry. I was used to those saying the millions spent. I hear it over and over again in this context.)

Obama is not antichrist; but this is just a tiny foretaste of how the system will work against anyone who will oppose the anitchrist when the time is ripe.
Gays, liberals, so-called scientists brainwashed by the dogma of Darwin, the godless, etc, will play a huge role in ushering in the antichrist.

I forgot to add the Christian-hating ACLU.

#16, Eddie, The AMA admits to up to 100,000 deaths per year caused by preventable medical mistakes.

That's a hunert grand that they admit, I'm thinkin the real number is prolly closer to 300,000.

If a loved one of yours is killed by stupid errors, you may rethink your knee jerk bias against malpractice law suits. The AMA knows which MDs are butchers, but you wont be seeing any self regulation fingering of bad docs coming from the AMA.

Docs are like cops. They burry their mistakes

In the interest of public saftey they must be sued when they kill.

Everybody was all over the controller who was on the cell phone when the mid air over the Hudson happened, even though the NTSB report said he was not responsible for the accident, but Docs pile up 100,000 corpses a year like chopped wood and you are running to their defense like you are their mommy.

Pragmatist, I appreciate the reply and I understand your frustration.

"instead of just releasing the birth certificate.. lol

Oh my god, you're either fucking stupid or embarrassingly uninformed.

That is not really Obama... it is his doppelganger from the future sent to activate the skynet.

By the way, Obama won the election by hypnotizing us all. You were so right about him! God said he was evil and he would lose the election so he had to hypnotize us to win. And he even hypnotized them damn Europeans into giving him the Nobel Peace Prize! Can you believe it? But, you weren't fooled were you?

I bet it was the tin foil hat that protected you.

Dopplerganger I heard of something like that on NCIS. Whatever THAT means.

I think a doppleganger is a ghost that has kinetic abilities in the real world. Not sure though, and too lazy too google.

Maybe it was doubleganger. It was said to Gibbs by Jenny during an episode.

"Dopplerganger"

I think that's a weather warning system for The Crips.

I don't mind this woman at all. I think she is doing a GREAT SERVICE.....for the democrats.

This is what the people are associating the tea-baggers with and I say 'keep it up'.

Thank You crazy lady!

She says she won't pay. Let's see how that works out for her.

Way to go judge, now Orly can challenge and get those records in response to your sanctions!!! Whoooohoooo. Or, you will have to drop the charges!!!! Please let them stand!!

Nothing like a flaming lib judge pretecting the messiah

"Nothing like a flaming lib judge pretecting the messiah"

Or the laws and protocols of the justice system.

"Nothing like a flaming lib judge pretecting the messiah"

Makes you wonder just what George Bush had in mind when he appointed this guy to the federal bench back in 2001, don't it?

well until the internet their only forum was wildly gesticulating and ranting at squirrels in the park.

Why do you say "their only forum"?
Don't you mean "OUR only forum"?

How in the hell did the left get rid of Cindy Sheehan? The RNC should follow that playbook and get rid of this whack job.

"How in the hell did the left get rid of Cindy Sheehan? The RNC should follow that playbook and get rid of this whack job."

Pretty sure she bailed on them after it became apparent that Obama wasn't going to keep his promises on Iraq.

Antiwar citizens of the left probably still like Cindy Sheehan. I'm not sure the Democratic machine ever truly embraced her. Political machines use all kinds of people.

The courts should do this to the ACLU!"

Yeah, for when they defended Rush Limbaugh.

#5 | Posted by danni at 2009-10-13 02:50 PM | Reply | Flag: Stupid

They did not "defend" Rush, they provided an amicus brief on the point of law and the issue, not a defense of the accused... you keep repeating the lie that they "defended" rush. You are a MORON Danny.

#54...

Of course the ACLU "did" defend NAMBLA...

BO...Show U.S. the records!!!!

so will the same people be so quick to fine scumsucking bottom feeding asshole trial lawyers who are completely in the democrat pockets???

by the way

anytime someone gets fined for frivolous shit like this..

bravo

of course in OBAMAS amERICA....the definitio of the word frivolous will be deluted to exclude anyone who is moving his view through the system

I'm amazed at the stupidity some of you STILL show regarding Obama's birth certificate.
It's been available for a year, at least. It's on the net. Google it!

Orly's so-called birth certs from other countries have already been proven to be badly forged copies of other peoples' certs.

This is getting way beyond stupid:

Orly and followers-
"Where's the birth certificate?!!!"

People with brains-
"Here it is. Want a copy?"

Orly and followers-
"Where's the birth certificate?!!!!

People with brains-
"uh, it's.. right here...in front of you. See? Right here. Feel free to read it as many times as you want.

Orly and followers-
"Where's the birth certificate?!!! WHY WON'T YOU SHOW US THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE?!!! Where is it?!!! What are you hiding?!!!!!!

People with brains-

"Waiter!!! Check please!!!"

"Check please!!!"

We goin' dutch?

First, the COLB picture that Land is referring to is the one from FightTheSmears.com. Since that site is or was offline and is not currently reachable, see a cached copy of the picture at the last link.
Second, the point is that the judge believes that an unauthenticated certificate is valid; the fact that it wasn't evidence provided by one of the parties is immaterial. The point is that the judge shows no skepticism whatsoever when it comes to the issue of whether Obama is eligible or not. The paragraph containing the quote above is this:

Plaintiff's counsel speculates that President Obama was not born in the United States based upon the President's alleged refusal to disclose publicly an "official birth certificate" that is satisfactory to Plaintiff's counsel and her followers. She therefore seeks to have the judiciary compel the President to produce "satisfactory" proof that he was born in the United States. Counsel makes these allegations although a "short-form" birth certificate has been made publicly available which indicates that the President was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4, 1961.

He obviously believes that Obama has proven that he was born in Hawaii; he expresses no doubts about the certificate despite the fact that it hasn't been authenticated. That paragraph at the end links to footnote #3. That footnote, after a brief summary of the election, says:

It would appear that ample opportunity existed for discovery of evidence that would support any contention that the President was not eligible for the office he sought. Furthermore, Congress is apparently satisfied that the President is qualified to serve. Congress has not instituted impeachment proceedings, and in fact, the House of Representatives in a broad bipartisan manner has rejected the suggestion that the President is not eligible for office. See H.R. Res. 593, 111th Cong. (2009) (commemorating, by vote of 378-0, the 50th anniversary of Hawaii's statehood and stating, "the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961").

I'll never understand why the right hates the ACLU. Are they all against civil liberties? Apparently so. They want no defense of it no matter the issue.

Let me know when they put the dumb bitch in jail.

Yes, because THAT'S how we want to deter people from litigating causes repugnant to the majority.
