Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

The members of the committee have also put the young American president in a terrible place. They make it look like all the talk of "The One," the heartthrob of the European elite, the darling of the international left, is true. They make him look prefabricated and inauthentic, an empty structure held up by essentially silly people.

He can not in good conscience refuse the award. To do so would be a shun to the rest of the world. The world would see it as another in a long string of arrogant attitude problems. He should accept it if not for Him For America.

Larry

I am iritated with my cousins in Norway for being so flippant with this award.

I agree with the columnist that this is an opportunity for B.O. to remind the world what America IS. what Americans have done for the rest of the world, and to get some Americans to Calm the fuck down.

The real trick will be whether or not he realizes that this award is empty without the backing of the American people.

All of them.

He can not in good conscience refuse the award. To do so would be a shun to the rest of the world.

Not necessarily, Larry. Many -- including myself -- would respect the act of humility

Perhaps if Obama disembarked from a fighter jet on a aircraft carrier in a flight suit with a "Mission Accomplished" banner behind him for the photo-op and then declined the award?

Would that "act of humility" appease you?

Betel, what does Bush have to do with this? You can't really be this dense.

How Barack Obama could redeem the Nobel Committee

......the committee is not looking for redemption...

....they are quite satisfied with their choice.....

Hilarious how things have turned around. Skizziks sounds just like a Bushie circa 2003.

Also note that Skizziks has ignored legitimate criticisms of some of Obama's policies, some of which are opposite of notions of peace.

......I have not ignored legitimate criticism of Obama....in fact I have provided my own.......

.....however.....there is a steady stream of Anti-Obama propaganda streaming from the right, that has no discernment between genuine criticism, and outright lies, and the Republican politicians will echo these lies until they become a joke, and then move on to the next criticism, again without weighing its merits.......

.....what I see in the long run for the Republicans.....

.....is that they will continue to mix so many lies with the truth, that eventually, no one will believe them, even when they are being honest.....

Won't argue with that.

The keyword from #7 that I disagreed with was only.
