Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Politics of spite runs both ways as observed on Morning Joe today where Max Blumenthal proceeded to make those on the left appear as intolerant as those he criticizes on the right.

As long as this type of stuff continues this country will never move forward.

I should have used the word "intollerance" rather than spite.

I've only been voting since 2004, as I'm a young guy, but out curiosity, has it always been this tense between the two parties and their voters? I was in high school for the latter part of Clinton's term, so I know it was then, but before that, what was it like?

Not in my opinion. I think it started with Kennedy v. Bork, then escalated with the Clarence Thomas hearings, repubs sought their revenge in the Clinton years, and the dems did the same during the Bush years.

It's just a sign of the unraveling of this country, don't worry about it.

Oh well in that case, no big deal! (lol)

This anger and partisanship can be largely mitigated if us voters would stop having any of it.

I was talking with my wife last night about setting up a website called "votethemout.org" which would list all incumbents in all 2010 and 2012 races who have served more than 4 terms in the House and 3 terms in the Senate, and which would encourage voters to vote these individuals out regardless of their party affiliation.

Nice.

Live or Die - I would say it started with Watergate.

Watergate changed EVERYTHING since.
