Not in my opinion. I think it started with Kennedy v. Bork, then escalated with the Clarence Thomas hearings, repubs sought their revenge in the Clinton years, and the dems did the same during the Bush years.

It's just a sign of the unraveling of this country, don't worry about it.

This anger and partisanship can be largely mitigated if us voters would stop having any of it.

I was talking with my wife last night about setting up a website called "votethemout.org" which would list all incumbents in all 2010 and 2012 races who have served more than 4 terms in the House and 3 terms in the Senate, and which would encourage voters to vote these individuals out regardless of their party affiliation.
