Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Dawn Smith who had a brain tumor wanted a second opinion and further testing. Her Health Insurer refused the out of network opinion until media pressure was placed on them then they let her go to the Cleveland Clinic. Then CYGNA tried to recope the costs by jacking her meds up moree than $3000.00 per year. Again after media pressure CYGNA brought the meds back to there previous price. CYGNA claimed the med isssue was a misunderstanding due to her Doctor filling out the wrong forms but this is a typical Health Insurance Company fighting with patients or doctors refusing to pay for procedures or claims. These Health Insurance compamies are not to be trusted and will be changing rules to regain the advantage like the credit card compamies did after Credit Card Reform was passed.

Private Health Insurance companies make money off people being sick and only care about one thing, the bottom line. They are not there to help patients who are there customers. Medicare for people over 65 runs very well according to many doctors and a government run option for those who cant afford health Insurance will not be there to make a profit and its best that at some point down the road for both doctors and patients that we have single payer to get rid of the private insurance companies who fight patients and doctors tooth and nail over every penny.

Nope. No rationing there. No *bureaucrats* getting in between a doctor and a patient.

It's a good thing that they didn't have to rely on Medicare who is the leader in denials:
