Even if Bush and FEMA FUBARed the situation, it's not uncommon to have children sing songs that are positive about authority figures. I sense this song is a little detached from reality, but I don't see it as harmful.

To them it is not a case of two wrongs don't make it right but rather to defend the brainwashing and try to pass the blame and spotlight on someone else. Obama does this well too.

When I was in the first grade we used to sing a song about the president but the teachers didn't teach it to us. I can only remember part of it:

My baloney has a first name, its J-I-M-M-Y

My baloney has a second name, its C-A-R-T-E-R

then there were a few lines and it ended:

Because Jimmy Carter has a way of screwing up the U-S-A.


And yes, schoolkids in 1979 really did sing this song.
