Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

To the tune of "Hey Look Me Over," the kids from Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama sang:

Our country's stood beside us
People have sent us aid.
Katrina could not stop us, our hopes will never fade.
Congress, Bush and FEMA
People across our land
Together have come to rebuild us and we join them hand-in-hand!

They used these kids as props AND to spread propaganda, this actually IS the sort of thing that used to happen in the Soveit Union.

"This is completely different because___________________."

Anyone?

Right, but:

Inviting the kids to the White House so they can spread lies is not the same thing I WISH the song about Obama was because _____________________. (fill in the blank)

I guess you're for Rush or Glenn Beck to tell you why it's not the same thing they made the song about Obama out to be.

With the internet, youtube and such it should be no problem finding clips of the actors and actresses on Fox news going ape shit for weeks on end over this incident back when it happened. I'll wait for someone to post a link.

Nice find, NoGov.

Guess Glen Beck is gonna get right no this one and explain how terrible this was and how akin to communist kiddy brainwashing it was, eh?

Maybe even Nazism!

Aw, who's Spud kidding? That brain dead hack doesn't have the nerve to take off his partisan blinkers fer even a moment.

/obligatory.

Be Well.

/Them links. Get 'em while they're hawt.

Even if Bush and FEMA FUBARed the situation, it's not uncommon to have children sing songs that are positive about authority figures. I sense this song is a little detached from reality, but I don't see it as harmful.

The "but what about Bush" moments are alive and well.

To them it is not a case of two wrongs don't make it right but rather to defend the brainwashing and try to pass the blame and spotlight on someone else. Obama does this well too.

Mm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said that all must lend a hand
To make this country strong again
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said we must be fair today
Equal work means equal pay
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

Is that the above song about Obama what people are referring to?

You mean the song in one class in one school by one teacher during Black History Month, that was then pirated to the internet?

Yeah, that sounds like it.

The song had a copyright? Wow.

Yes that one. The one that the school sent the lyrics to, to the parents, and having no parental objections.

public school classrooms shouldn't be used to sing the praises of any sitting (or recent) political figure, whether Bush or Obama or anyone else.

I'm sure you can find at least one clip of a Fox News actor or actress pissing their pants over the Bush administration forcing these kids to tell lies with the White House as a back drop.

Seriously, nothing?

I saw more than 1 thread about Obama brain washing kids somehow with a song that he knew nothing about that was sang back in Feburary, I've seen it mentioned in a few others.

Are you telling me that the american right actually gives roughly less that 1/10th of 1 shit about the kids they claim to care so much about and that you people were only using them as pawns?

This song is downright creepy.

"Barack Hussein Obama...Mmmm, mmmm, mmmm."

You O-tards would have gone absolutely apeshit had a similar song been sung in a public school idolizing George W. Bush...and rightly so.

JeffJ spews forth from His bossom that this is downright creepy but nary a word about the song/s sung about Dubya especially the one that this thread is about. What utter and complete rubber dilly ding dong bullshit is that.

Larry

Time for some grundy

Oh, yeah! Those two songs are identical! Hahah! Talk about your grasping for straw(men)s! You leftards never fail to amuse, for sure.

Larry,

I wasn't aware of any public school-children chanting at the alter of George W. Bush.

Seriously.

If you have evidence of such, please link it.

If I am ignorant, then I will happily embrace further knowledge.

Larry?

Larold?

I wasn't aware of any public school-children chanting at the alter of George W. Bush.

Then you missed the thread that's been up at the DR for two days.

Please, Jeff, try and keep up to speed.

Seriously Doc, I missed it.

While I found the Obama-chanting to be a bit creepy, I am not all 'up-in-arms' over it.

If it isn't too much to ask - please link the W. Worship so I can be equally creeped out.

Didn't You read what this thread was about JeffJ?? Oh and not to mention the fucking lifesized cardboard cutout of Dubya at that Jesus Camp in Missouri?? Shit dude it's even worse than this.

obama cultist chants are campaign quotes used to dupe the country into voting for him..

I hardly see the similarity but if you say its the same then

I HEREBY DENouNCE it..

so hows that?

When I was in the first grade we used to sing a song about the president but the teachers didn't teach it to us. I can only remember part of it:

My baloney has a first name, its J-I-M-M-Y

My baloney has a second name, its C-A-R-T-E-R

then there were a few lines and it ended:

Because Jimmy Carter has a way of screwing up the U-S-A.

And yes, schoolkids in 1979 really did sing this song.
