Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

One of the USA's newest airports has a 5,500-foot lighted runway, a Colonial-style terminal with white columns, and hundreds of acres for growth. But Kentucky's Williamsburg-Whitley County Airport lacks one feature: airline passengers

This has been going on for decades! I have written to Neil Boortz Numerous Times Asking him to do a bit on this for his "Government Outrage" section of his program. He never does --- I wonder why?
He advertises he is looking out for "Your Tax Dollars" --- but fails to inform his listeners of the very G O V E R N M E N T programs he Benefits from!
Send that Asshole an email and ask him Why he Never Mentions this!

Taxpayers also funding Obama's serve.gov while the site redirects people to ACORN to be health care activists:

Damn socialist, elite-serving, richman's hobby coddling, subsidy sucking podunk airports.

They are an important part of the National aviation system.

Do you really want Dr Flaum, the 'private pilot'
no experience, no commonsense, no idea, no radio, semi panicked General Aviation flyer mixing it up with the big boys at O'hare, Lax, or other level 3 airports?

I've seen this up close, and believe me, you want that squirrel to be flying into a littlt bitty, teeny tiny, itsy bitsy corn row airplane patch.

It is in everybody's best interest to keep em out of traffic.

OMG!! REALLY?

From the article:
By typing "ACORN" into the search field entitled "What interests you" at Serve.gov, you're transported to allforgood.org where you can choose from a list of volunteer opportunities, including "healthcare activist." This particular "volunteer" opportunity is with the Tuscon ACORN office:

WOW..Imagine that....actually typing the word ACORN into the search field and then being presented a list of volunteer opportunities. What a SCANDAL!!!!
Great catch!!

Conservatives feel as if they're on a roll these days, with White House adviser Van Jones chased out of town and ACORN funding deleted in an appropriations bill.

So their next stop? Pennsylvania Rep. John Murtha's airport.

They just need a short runway and some old wodden hanger. They don' need all the lights and huge modern terminal. I have seen many runways out west that are used quite a bit that are nothing more than a patch of grass with wind socks at both ends.

Once again; the taxpayer subsidizing politicians and corporations, so that they won't be inconvenienced or made uncomfortable like the rest of us schmucks that have to fly commercial airlines. I bet these guy never have to disrobe to get from point "A" to point "B"...

The rich get richer, and the rest of us, well...

How long have you been a private pilot, dumbass? I've said for decades it was a dirty shame when the government stepped in and put many small PRIVATE airport operators OUT OF BUSINESS. Once upon a time a man could buy some ground, build some runways, rent tiedown and hanger space, and offer repairs as well as buying and selling aircraft. But no, the government decided they could do it better and figured out a way to destroy an entire industry in just a decade or so.

I've been tired of financing peoples hobbies for a long long time.

As far as keeping them out of traffic, dumbass. My guess is you don't know the difference between IFR and VFR and the rules that govern them. I'm guessing the only thing you've ever really piloted has been your mouth and it's likely you've crashed often from its use.

Public golf courses? Yep everyone knows that people on food stamps go golfing all the time.

5 million dollar bike trails. Yep, everyone knows people on food stamps go bicycle riding all the time.

Public tennis courts. Yep, everyone knows that people on food stamps play tennis daily. Tennis anyone?

The list is long. And the senators and representatives of the US government steal for their gang all the time.

Next time you need an air ambulance but you can't get one because the local small airport's been turned into a mobile home park don't bitch, just die.

I think it is a fair use of government funds. I don't fly much myself but nobody is stopping me or anyone else who's qualified from using any of the general aviation airports. Infrastructure is what government should be doing with our aviation tax dollars. It sounds to me like another government program that has work better then expected. It's good for commerce and it's good for local business and citizens. Besides, how are all the congressmen and judges going to get to their favorite fishing holes without them?

You want to bitch about waste, go after the military fields.

Ring,

I've been checked out for Hawaiian inter-island cross-country since 1996. Aviation is a lot more than the flying bus and it provides profitable infrastructure connections for business.

Washboard, believe me, I know the difference between VFR and IFR and SVFR and VFR On Top.
I know controlled airspace, non controlled air space, airport traffic area, TERSA, I know NOTAMS, waxof, HIRL,Victor Air ways, Jet airways VOR TACAN ILS MIRLS, and I know lots of squirelly gen aviation douchbags. Last place I want to see em is flying into Level 3 airports.

We may know each other you nordo sob.

Believe me Sky King, I am not a pilot.

I got as far as soloing in Hawaii before joining the Merchant Marines and flew many trips with a good friend who now flies for Hawaiian Airlines. I've landed on many small Fields too. The great majority here are still unrestricted. It's an honor and a privilege to have such great airports open for everyone. Too many private fields are restricted back in the mainland. I certainly hope the government doesn't cut back too much.

Crack Smoking exected officials stealing money from the publics pocket, Its been going on for decades, just look at social security. Maybe someday the public may wake up and throw the losers in jail. Doubtful, but we can always hope.

just look at social security
