Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Texas Gov. Rick Perry, originally included on 2012 Presidential Straw Poll ballot at this weekend's Values Voter Summit, was removed at the request of his staff. The two-term governor is not thinking about running for president but is instead "focused on running for governor," a campaign spokesman said. Perry faces a strong primary challenge from Republican Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.

Well, that would be true except for the fact that Mormons really do have... Magic Underwear.

At least so they tell themselves.

Amusing side, when i misspelled Mormon, one of the options to fix it was Moron.

Well at least Google Chrome gets it.

its going to be a fun race.

Wow, underwear of protection +1. Impressive.

Sorry Mitty, Huckleberry won. Of course only 600 whackjobs voted, and he got less than a third of those, so I'm not sure that's much of a mandate.
But he's pretty sure its a sign from Baby Jayzuzz for him to run and run and run....

The most interesting part is this:

"Perry is currently battling Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison for the GOP nomination."

A senator is running for governor? How common is that?

Texas is a rather fascinating place, politically--I mean, from Ann Richards to George W. Bush? (Interesting too, when Bush was running against Richards, he said something like, "When I am governor, there _will_ be abortions in Texas." Well, that's what I heard. And no, I don't have a link. According to the claimant, it was in a debate...) Also, home of Kinky Friedman, who's a fascinating cat.

As soon as Rick Perry is exposed for what he is - the only person in america who thinks W is an impressive fellow - he will not be able to win an election for dog-catcher.

"the only person in america who thinks W is an impressive fellow"

Oh, come now. He's hardly the only person. Just look around on this site.
