Wolf Blitzer Bombs on 'Jeopardy'

CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer came in last on Thursday night's Jeopardy! behind actor Dana Delany and comedian Andy Richter, finishing Final Jeopardy with $-4,600.

I like Jeopardy, but I ussaualy never watch Celebrity Jeopardy. But yesterday for some reason I decided to watch and I was thrilled to see that idiot do so badly.

*****Update: Having now watched the entire match, I have to conclude that Blitzer was either really nervous, hung-over, or is an amazing dope. Here's a perfect example from Double Jeopardy, category is about decades in the U.S.:

A. The 1850s saw a bad one of this 5-letter word that refers to an economic crash and the fear-driven rush to sell.

Sept 10, Glenn Beck drew 3.34 million total viewers and 958,000 P25-54 from 5-6 p.m. The demo viewers were the most of any Fox News program for the night, topping even The O'Reilly Factor at 8 p.m.

VS.

On September 10, The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer on CNN drew 725,000 total viewers including 145,000 in the demo.

I once had to serve jury duty at the Santa Monica courthouse 11-12 years ago and she was there trying to appear incognito in the jury pool. She was dressed in what looked like pajama bottoms with a white t-shirt, covered with a green surplus army raincoat and a pair of those cheap Chinese black canvas shoes, looking totally unkempt and wearing sunglasses. I was the only one out of the 60 or so in the jury room to recognize her. She was evidently so pissed that they didn't honor her claim of financial hardship, that she showed up the next second day dressed like a bag lady. I think the ploy worked as she became conspicuously absent after the noon lunch break.

I saw that episode. Pretty sad showing by Blitzer. Andy Richter stole the show. Quicker on the buzzer, knew almost every answer. Won $68,000 for his charity.
