Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Under the very rules established by the Democrats, the mainstream media, and their GOP buddies, Jonah Goldberg might now qualify as a "Birther". In order not to be a "Birther" - as defined by the aforementioned groups - one must believe to the core of one's being that not only was BHO born in HI, but that he's told the complete truth about his past and he's not trying to cover anything up. Expressing any doubts will not be tolerated; one must confess that any deviation from the narrative provided by Obama is impossible. I didn't make those rules: they did.

This writer is overcomplicating things. If you refuse to believe the documentary evidence, newspaper evidence and repeated statements by officials that President Obama was born in Hawaii, you are a Birther.

1. There's no "documentary evidence"; the picture on BHO's site hasn't been authenticated and FC is not a credible source.

2. The papers only listed the supposed address of his parents, not where he was born. Not only that, but BHO Sr. apparently didn't even live at that address.

3. There have been no repeated statements saying he was born there, only one.

That said, the post is a commentary on witchhunting.

And you're a Birther too.

There's nothing wrong with being a Birther, or a Truther, or any of the other -ers that will spring up. Believe what you want. But the rest of us are likely to pin a label on that belief, because that's how people with fringe beliefs are dismissed by the people in the mainstream.

I don't see how anyone could believe that Barack Obama wasn't born in Hawaii, given the newspaper birth announcement from Honolulu.

They're in on this generations-old mooselamb conspiracy, don't ya see?

"Given the newspaper birht announcement from Hawaii..."

Or given photographs of his very pregnant mother in, of all places, Hawaii.

If there's one thing I've learned about women in their third trimester, it's the fact that they love to travel from one continent to another.

sure. in 1960(or whenever Obama was born) flying from Hawaii to Kenya.

I would have loved to be sitting next to her on the plane

:-(

BTW, this is the first post I have placed on a birther thread.

the whole thing is just ridiculous.

Great thinking from rcade:

1. I've never said BHO wasn't born there. What I've consistently maintained is that he hasn't provided definitive proof of where he was born. That difference is too subtle for most, but really try and think about it. I've got almost 90 posts about this issue; it would be helpful to understand my argument - and what I'm trying to prove - before commenting on it.

2. Regarding the announcements, I wrote this a while back and haven't finished it, but I rushed it out just for rcade. Pay especial attention to the second and third paragraphs.

"Definitive proof..."

He's supplied all the proof that exists. Make up your minds to treat it as definitive.

I think it's that "definitive" bit that mkes ypou all a bit crazy. It's become an article of metaphysics, and the Secretary of State for Hawaii was never magical enough to satisfy.

"He's supplied all the proof that exists."

It's called zero.

"It's called zero..."

Never magical enough to satisfy.

I've never said BHO wasn't born there.

So you're a Partial-Birther.

If Obama was found to be an undocumented immigrant, would that invalidate his entire ticket and make Nancy Pelosi POTUS?

I wouls say it would only invalidate Obama. Joe Biden would replace Him.

Larry

"If Obama was found to be an undocumented immigrant, would that invalidate his entire ticket and make Nancy Pelosi POTUS?"

Thanks for the nightmare I'm gonna have tonight.

I just read a few of Goldberg's columns on the topic, and he's no Birther. What he's commenting on is how the Left will seize on the tinniest thread and blow it out of proportion for partisan reasons.

And how Lefties should not get all hissy when others use the same tactic they perfected.

Thanks for the nightmare I'm gonna have tonight.

that's what I'm here for.

"that's what I'm here for."

That's what I'm afraid of!!! lol

Why hasn't anyone addressed the part that I highlighted in bold? Maybe because rcade & Co have suppressed their suspicions that there is something fishy about the Sacrosanct One's past?

"Why hasn't anyone addressed the part that I highlighted in bold?"

Cuz no one pays attention to you?

Just a guess!

LOL

So you're a Partial-Birther.

I dunno if anyone else thought this was as funny as I did, but I'm flagging the shit out of it.

"Why hasn't anyone addressed the part that I highlighted in bold?

For the same reason we don't address pet goldfish, door nails, brick walls, or drunks on the park bench. No one gives a fuck about what you think, or want addressed.

1. Let me try something easier for rcade. Did CNN's president spread false information or not? That's an easy question (the answer is: yes). The problem is that no one is calling him on it, because to do so would result in establishment hacks calling that person names even though it's a simple matter of getting objective facts straight. What those establishment, mainstream hacks are doing is allowing the MSM to construct their own reality. Way back when, lefties would be strongly opposed to that. Nowadays, of course, that's out the window if it helps BHO.

2. I'm not calling Goldberg a "Birther". I'm presenting an example of why he and NRO shouldn't call people names like establishment mainstream hacks are wont to do in order to cover up their inability to understand someone's argument. The linked post is a "hoist on his own petard" post, like those who took part in Soviet purges and were later themselves purged. (I also think Goldberg is an idiot, but that's tangential to my main point.)

Nuts.

No thanks, I already have a couple.

There's such a thing as being too literal.

"Why hasn't anyone addressed the part that I highlighted in bold?"

Yep "no one" pays attention to Gimme

Let me try something easier for rcade.

You can make it as easy as you like, but I don't see how anything counters the birth announcement for Barack Obama in the Honolulu newspaper. The simplest explanation is almost always correct. Obama's birth was announced in Hawaii because he was born in Hawaii.

I've never said BHO wasn't born there.

So you're a Partial-Birther.

ONCE more

I believe he was born in hawaii
I also believe that he refused to show us the certificate because THAT would end the issue and anytime dems can pull this bullshit about birthers, they THINK it works to thier advantage

AND whats worse..thinking he wasnt born in hawaii or that the POTUS allowed 3000 americans to be killed?

"I also believe he refused to show us the certificate that would end the issue...."

The Secretary of State of Hawaii, who most writhe in regards to how inconsequential his verdicts are treated, says there is no certificate such as you ask.

This gets to why Birthers are crazy. If it doesn't exist, no one can conjure it for you. You just gotta stew. So sorry for you.

so he has no birth certificate? is that what you were mumbling about....tee hee

"so he has no birth certificate?"

Do you?

"So he has no birth certificate..."

Of course he does. It's just not the one of fantasy. Lord---The amount of energy I've seen expended about what MUST exist.....

I have a birth certificate.

But that's not what it says.

It says, "Certificate of Live Birth" on it.

Get yours out. What does yours say? Enjoy the surprise haters!

If there's one thing I've learned about women in their third trimester, it's the fact that they love to travel from one continent to another.

Other than pregnant midddle-aged Sarah Palin travelling on an 8 hour flight from the continental US to Alaska the day before her special needs baby was born Spud can't think of any women who like to fly in their third tri...

Wait a sec!

OIC Wot U did there!

Sarcasm, wot a concept.

Be Well.

Spud - Palin flew that day cause she heard that her little floozy Bristol was going into labor. It would have been hard for her to claim to be the mom of the special little one if she wasn't even in the same state when he was born.
