What a pathetic joke our MSM is. They are all up-in-arms over Joe Wilson's little outburst, which he apologized for both in writing and in person; but can't be bothered to fact-check all of the lies Obama spewed in his little speech.

I know that most lefties absolutely despise conservative talk-radio and Fox News, but without these outlets this administration would probably get no scrutiny at all. Hell, the MSM only started reporting on Van Jones AFTER the conservative media made it big enough that it could no longer be ignored - except for the NYTimes, which didn't report on that asshole at all until after he "resigned". We need a healthy skepticism of our elected leaders.

We need to thoroughly scrutinize the words and actions of our leaders regardless of their political affiliation. I would hope that this is something that honest-minded lefties can agree with. Seeing as the MSM is STILL absolutely in the tank for Obama, the honest lefties should be silently cheering the likes of Fox and Hannity for actually taking Obama to task.

Several prominent members of the DNC, in a strategic shift, took to hyping some of the nastiest comments imaginable upon the insurance industry as a means of ginning up support for their BS legislation.

Hannity, had the gall, to attribute this shittiness to Obama, and because Obama didn't use those exact words you are all up in arms and pissed off. Never mind the fact that Hannity's depiction was consistent with the tone taken by the DNC and Obama. Yet, Obama goes on a national stage, lies his ass off, and you (and Larry) get all sorts of pissed off because a few of us have the temerity to call him out on his bullshit.

Could someone explain to me why so many of the riighties -- JeffJ, Cookfish, 101Chairborn, etc., etc. -- are obsessed with homoerotic memes and themes? Just curious.

I can link countless instances where, through torture, information was obtained that was intended to remain secret. This is true throughout man's history. It is also common f-ing sense.

Torture is ugly, but it works. You can argue against its use on moral grounds and that is fine. But you are utterly delusional if you believe that it isn't effective, or worse, that it NEVER works.
