Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Though President Obama has formally accepted the apology of Rep. Joe "You lie!" Wilson (R-S.C.), the fallout from the emotional outburst continues. Rob Miller, a Democrat who is running against Wilson in 2012, has raised $300,000 since the incident.

Joe "You lie!" Wilson has been shown to be the real liar---what a surprise.

As it turns out, the man who called Obama the liar may actually be off base. According to Politifact.com, a nonpartisan site dedicated to fact-checking the claims of "candidates, elected officials, political parties, interest groups, pundits, talk show hosts," Obama wasn't lying when he said the health-care reforms he's proposing would not apply to illegal immigrants.

"Obama can make a pretty thorough case that reform doesn't apply to those here illegally. We don't find the public option argument enough to make the case that Obama 'lied.' We rate Wilson's statement false"

I don't think he will be sitting in congress much longer.

Well--when the dems voted down an amendment to require everyone go thru the SAVE (?) idenity process--there is a loop hole for illegals to get coverage at our expense.

Cheating Americans.

Wilson will likely do well in that district. On the other hand, he personifies what the GOP has become and why its future as a competitive national party is so in doubt.

Remember the fallen ones for just a moment......

So, this new socialist medicine ASSURES us no illegals will filch coverage on our tax dime?
Obama did NOT lie?

Psssst! Obama lied our his ears, ass and nose!

out, not 'ours' of course.

"So, this new socialist medicine ASSURES us no illegals will filch coverage on our tax dime?"

What an idiotic bar to set. He said the bill (section 246) doesn't allow payments to illegals. He was telling the truth. The fact it might be controverted is a different issue.

Danniboy? So no illegal coming to a hospital will be treated? No? Who pays for it, liar?

"So no illegal coming to a hospital will be treated?"

Today's laws forbid hospitals to turn people away with urgent needs, regardless their status.

"Who pays for it?"

We all do. But since it's already the law, you're a dick for calling me a liar, when it's a completely different issue. Obama was telling the truth. The Pulitzer Prize winning Politifact rated Wison's outburst a "Pants on Fire" lie.

Tis funny how we as a Nation get all up in arms about the meager prospect of Illegals obtaining health care insurance but we have no qualms about the cheap food we eat and cheap hotel/motel stays because of the Illegal Immigrants that work at these places saving we Americans money. Boyd said it best we invite these Illegals over here by our thirst for cheap goods and services. Is it too much to ask of us as a Nation to take care of these people???

Larry

"we invite these Illegals over here by our thirst for cheap goods and services. Is it too much to ask of us as a Nation to take care of these people?"

Yes. We don't invite them here to break our laws. I see no reason to reward the lawbreakers, and it spits on those who follow our rules and immigrate legally. There are better fixes, including increasing legal immigration, and making the process easier.

Sure we do Danforth every time we get a dollar head of lettuce or that cheap produce. Until we as a Nation start being willing to pay more for our food stuffs and our room rent at a hotel/motel the Illegals will keep coming.

Larry

"Sure we do Danforth every time we get a dollar head of lettuce or that cheap produce."

Not all who harvest lettuce are here illegally. Again, it's unfair to those who play by the rules.

Well,I for one am not going to pick lettuce and neither are you. They had a legal bracero program long ago and it didn't work out so well,so why would a legal pick it.Maybe for three dollars a head.

"I for one am not going to pick lettuce and neither are you"

Why is that a reason to reward lawbreakers?

Danforth,I've seen the winter lettuce harvest along the Colorado,it isn't so much of a reward, more of an economic necessity. We don't have sharecroppers anymore(as far as I know)

"more of an economic necessity"

Every time I hear "jobs Americans won't do", I ask "at what price"? I may not like yard work, but if the pay is $1,000 a day, where's the shovel? Not that it's a workable price, but if we have to pay more for a head of lettuce because the worker actually gets a fair wage, so be it.

No shit,but not reality

"No shit,but not reality"

Again, is that a reason to reward illegal behavior?

And if jobs keep going away, you'd be surprised what jobs Americans will do.

If we get to "grapes of wrath"bad,I agree.Fact of the matter is certain businesses have no problem with illegals, like it or not.

Fact of the matter is certain businesses have no problem with illegals, like it or not.

And if you don't believe me, ask our Sheriff Joe Arpio

Arpio=Arpaio,
he doesn't like his name spelled wrong, sorry Joe

You're right. Some Chambers of Commerce openly support them.

nice chat Danforth,see you again,later

I apparently have awakened in another universe.
AndreaMackris is now quoting the New York Times???

Meanwhile, this NYT link has little real substance. The closest that might be considered information would be a nebulous comment that aides at Mr. WIlson's office claim that thousands of calls have been received and they estimate they support Mr. Wilson by a 3-to-1 margin. Color me unconvinced...

bruce, your conclusions sound like la rasa talking points

in our area (Ohio) seasonal field/orchard work is done by migrant workers on H2A visas -
they work under and are protected by -
"The Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act (MSPA), of 1983"

I work with some guys here as welders on H2B temp visas - they are also protected by Federal law

problems start when local, state & Feds turn a blind eye to ILLEGALS coming in and "undercutting" legal temps to compete for work - -

farms using LEGAL migrant temps are put at a huge competitive disadvantage with other farm(s) using ILLEGAL temps . .
ie; they are tempted & may not survive if they don't cheat - the employees & the gvt end up getting cheated

btw, our H2B Paki, Filipino, Indian, welders have real names, families, background checks, pay taxes, and pass the same random drug tests as all our regular employees - -

back home their families, extended families, & in some cases their entire town benefits from the opportunity to work in the USA

the downside worth mentioning is that some of their "culinary delicacies" could be on a reality challenge TV show

With unemployment creeping up on double digits, I find it hard to believe that illegals are doing work that unemployed Americans wouldn't jump at, just to make ends meet.

Try this on for size...........

reason.com

Wilson might have raised some money for his opponent, but he also just guaranteed his reelection.

Voters like people who tell it like it is.

And you have to love that.

"Voters like people who tell it like it is."

A dubious propostion, at best.

What they really like is having their existing fears, prejudices, and ignorance legitimized by an authority figure.

"You have to love that..."

Wilson is a hero? This is the anniversary of the day we lost whole companies of firefighters.

The man wasn't even brave enough not to stand by his boorishness and refuse an apology.

Joe Wilson raised over $500,000 in the same period of time.
Don't be surprised when he is re-elected.

Of course, he was boorish enough to say he didn't mean the apology he gave.

So, what do we make of a man who states he gave a sincere apology and then next sentence states the reasons it was never sincere?

Anyone?

I'll give you an interpretation. Wilson cowered like a dog when the Republican leadership ordered him to apologize.

Then, again like a dog, he now jumps all over the place because some are giving him attention for barking.

Dogs are predictable.

He didn't apologize for what he said. He apologized for when he said it.

"He didn't apologize for what he said..."

I listened to Fido's entire remarks. Fido is proud he pissed on the rug as an act, not just in regards to timing.

Fido thinks it was the right thing to piss on that rug. Fido likes being rewarded by his owners. Good dog.

If Fido didn't want to be a dog, he could have told (or barked at) the Republican leadership to go to hell when they told him to ring the WH and say sorry.

No one wants their Representative to make a fool of them. He really made the people of his district look like fools, not just himself. At least I would feel that way if my Rep did something like that. I just can't imagine the audacity to blurt out something, anything, while the President is addressing Congress.

If I had sitting in that room, I would have been concerned that I was breathing too loud, much less blurting out comments.

Interesting to see the levels to which the republicans have sunk: stupid public displays of ignorance from their "leaders" and blind support from their loyal idiots.

The republican party is turning into a big, boring predictable and unfunny joke. Their relevance and appeal has shrunk to a small group of angry, frustrated, xenophobic, fundamentalist fools that pine for the 50s, that are in love with an imaginary america, not the real deal.

The true conservative is without a rational voice in the u.s. and this will remain true as long as the republicans run full steam on this narrowing path.

joe wilson should get a fuckin medal for having the courage to do what I was doing in front of my tv and that was screaming.

you fuckin liar.

on TWO occasions the dems had a chance to MAKE SURE illegals did not get health care and they voted the amendment down BOTH TIMES

dont listen to what these goddamn democrats say

What a shame the opposites gleefully gloat over who raised the most money -- as if that meant anything about how good a candidate is. Personally, I'd like to see the best man win, not the one who can raise the most money.

I know, I'm sorta old fashioned that way.

Yes. Actually...from someone who works with the insurance companies and on multiple news outlets, its a matter of cost. The set up costs significantly less if down a couple years out. But the jump start is extremely expensive. Idiot.

Just pointing out that I believe DrPepper misread the information regarding the $500,000.

Personally, I'd like to see the best man win (which MIGHT or MIGHT NOT be the one who can raise the most money). One does not necessarily follow from the other.

and here is a link to the situation

notice carefully that the furor dems are in over this may well backfire as the article says

now the spotlight is on this issue and dems cant back away from their TWO TIME defense of illegals getting health care.

and those people are paid with tax money..
and the left would love to forget all about their illegal activities because it would hurt their reelection effort to do otherwise

and this from liberal fucks who accuse US of being party over country.

"who accuse US of being party over country."

Fat talk from a supporter of Tom Delay, the poster boy of party over country.

When lawmaker Delay found a loophole in the Texas Election law, did he move immediately to correct it, and protect the citizenry? No, he exploited it for his gain and his party's gain, at the expense of the voters. The action was so egregious, the Republican-led Texas Legislature (of all bodies) immediately made it illegal.

And Afkabibble would vote for him again today, so all his yammer about 'party over country' is hypocrisy.

C-SPAN reported this morning over $700,000 has been raised for Joe Wilson's previous and future opponent, Rob Miller since Wednesday night. Miller, who retired from the USMC previous to last year's election, garnered 46% of the vote last election on a shoestring budget.

yes I would unless you can tell me what he has been found guilty of and you can also tell me why it is that the delay matter was so important for democrats but charley rangel still is chair of the committe for taxes and he still sits there.
surely dems will do something about THIS ASS before even thinking about censuring wilson which is being talked about I can assume.

well........will have to wait for response later..somethings are even more important than talking to you
like LUNCH

and I have also been ON RECORD as saying that as a law and order guy..
if he's guilty, throw his ass in jail
but if not..get off his ass and look at possible crooks NOW in the democrat congress

isnt that what pelosi promised us in 2006?
or do her statments have expiration dates like the FACTUAL LIAR obama?

"yes I would unless you can tell me what he has been found guilty of"

Fucking over the voters when he should have been protecting them from people like him.

Party over country, Republican-style.

"but charley rangel still is chair of the committe for taxes and he still sits there."

"(Rangel) should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, and removed from his leadership positions. It wasn't tiny amount; it was over 20% of his net worth. In tax world, that's considered fraud. And it looks like he hid the income so he could qualify for rent breaks. We should have a "Public Trust Act", where crooks like this get 3X the maximum sentence, and have to serve the time at a real prison.

Your turn.

Big deal. As soon as the first story comes out that illegal immigrants are benefiting from the new health care regime, Wilson can say "I told you so", and all the money is wasted.

Fine with me, though. It's libbies' money. A fool and his money were lucky to get together in the first place.

On the other hand, he personifies what the GOP has become and why its future as a competitive national party is so in doubt.

#3 | Posted by Doc_Sarvis

So then Doc what does it say about how the Democrats acted the last 8 years then? Some how it's not surprising that liberals and the MSM (lol...sorry same group of people) have so quickly forgotten things like the Democrats booing GW during his State of the Union Address or liberals booing and hissing at W during the inaguration. Maybe since he called Obama a liar like Reid called W one....maybe, just maybe then if he stays he will finish following in Reid's footsteps and one day lead the House instead of the Senate.

Big deal. As soon as the first story comes out that illegal immigrants are benefiting from the new health care regime...

maybe I just don't understand this whole right wing nutter scare tactic... Don't illegal aliens get free health care now at the ER? Isn't that one of the problems we face that drive our health care costs through the roof?

So, do you Xenophobes want the hospitals to turn away someone who arrives at the ER in desperate need of medical care just because their identity papers are not in order?

hmmm that sure sounds familiar...where have I heard this kind of philosophy before (besides from Lou Snobbs)?

If you know about it, assume it made the MSM. The GOPers made plenty of noises (moaning, etc.) at this week's speech, as the Dems did in earlier GOP speeches. But I'd still be interested if anyone can produce a link that shows a Democratic member of Congress shouting at the President during his address to a joint session of Congress that he's a lying. I suspect if there was proof of it, it would've appeared by now.

As I said, this boob personifies what the GOP has become and why its future as a competitive national party is so in doubt. Simply put, they've played so long and hard to the base that they've become the base. We'll have to see some polling and some election cycles run their course before we'll know for sure, but I'll be surprised if the GOP does anything but poorly among Independents -- which is where the elections are won; the GOP, on the other hand, seems to be pitching to the True Believer primary voter and that's just not enough to pull it off in the general election -- for quite some time.

No, the GOP worked hard to become a minority party; to assume the mantle of leadership of white male Southerners (a generalization, to be sure, but one they used and utilized in conceiving and executing the infamous "Southern Strategy"). That's where they are now and that's why they're marginalized.

^.^

I'll read the comments in a sec, but the lead in the related story from CNN says this:

"Less than a day after Rep. Joe Wilson formally apologized to President Obama over his "you lie" outburst, a campaign aide confirms that the South Carolina Republican has raised "more than $200,000" in the wake of the now-infamous moment."

So I think the whole thing is pretty much a wash.

John B.

"So I think the whole thing is pretty much a wash."

Two and an half times is a wash?!?

Republican math, or Vernon's calculator?

^.^

*after reading some of the comments*

I don't have a problem with immigrants coming to the country ... as a historian, I know that is in large measure how this country got its start, and immigration has enriched our society, our economy, and our culture by broadening it out, and alowing for more specialization.

However, *illegal* immigrants should be caught and sent back to their home countries with a note saying that they need to enter the country without breaking our laws.

And if you think our way of enforcing out immigration laws is harsh, you should see how Mexico treats people that come across its southern border without the proper documentation...

John B.

The headline reminds me of an old joke

A democrat and republican politician are sharing secrets on securing a vote. The Democrat says, "I tip well and tell the waitress or cab driver to vote Democrat." The Republican candidate says, "I have a similiar strategy: I don't tip at all and I tell the waitress or cab driver to vote Democrat"

^.^

"Two and an half times is a wash?!?"

Nowhere in the original story did any other information come up except that Wilson's opponent has raised $300,000 since the incident, while he has raised $200,000 ... that makes the story a wash, as neither side is really going to benefit from it, and quite frankly, I would not be surprised to see supporters of Wilson from outside the district throw money in to erase even the $100,000 difference.

John B.

I don't think he will be sitting in congress much longer.

He's from South Carolina. The KKKers will swarm to him. Short of actually trying to shoot Obama, this was his best choice to garner the conservative vote.

^.^

Good one, Goatman :)

John B.

"Nowhere in the original story did any other information come up except that Wilson's opponent has raised $300,000 since the incident"

Try to keep up:

www.islandpacket.com

^.^

"He's from South Carolina. The KKKers will swarm to him. Short of actually trying to shoot Obama, this was his best choice to garner the conservative vote."

And that's exactly how and why he'll stay in Congress. South Carolina is a fairly conservative state, and he could easily ride the groundswell against Obama.

I don't think Obama's speeches over this past few days have helped him, because of an issue raised by some conservatives. Obama wants to pay for this program using the savings from cleaning up the waste and abuse of Medicare ... well folks, Medicare is already broke, it's already going backrupt ... if there are savings to be found in Medicare by cleaning up the waste, fraud, and abuse, why not do it without the motive of doing it for some other program?

Here's a simple approach to health care reform:

- allow people to buy insurance across state lines
- reform Medicare by cleaning the waste & fraud
- go for tort reform, which is a huge cost in the system.

Those three things would at least help the problem.

John B.

you dont seem to understand..this is one of those occasions like the many that happened during the bush years

there was NO PRESIDENT before obama and thier behavior is ignored because at the time it was celebrated

HILLARY CLINTON in campaign talking about how dissent is so wonderfull
do I wish he had waited until he was at a mic afterwards..sure but only because dems can take this and bullshit about it

when durbin and kerry apologize for insulting the american soldiers and reid apologizes for calling bush a liar and all of the other nonsense.
THEN I will pay attention to what dems say on this matter.
I bet I wont have to worry about it because those arrogant assholes would never do that.

"okay TAG your' it."

No, it's your turn to say something about Delay that shows you aren't just a partisan party hack.

AND when it comes time to vote for obama bankrupting the government and destroying health care...the people in that state wont care if he spoke out like this.
the other issues are more important than embarrasing the president with the truth

and the REAL JOKE

all of the staterun media talking shit about the republican lack of civility........this pales in comparison to the dems from the beginning in 2000 and thier arrogance and cultist behaviour wont allow them to think otherwise

Au Contraire!
Are we playing blame assessment today!
I would say the Wars are bankrupting the nation along with U.S. Corporate Greed vis a vis Haliburton et al!

Putting it simply Things have been screwed up for a long time!
End trolling for today!

The party of mandatory euthanasia for over 40s and no pills at all for Republicans has the balls to accuse its so far blameless president of lying? THAT is chutzpah!

As for those whose deepest dread is public funding of care for "illegals," I have a vivid mental image of one passing a Hispanic lying bleeding in a south Texas ditch, and just keeping going.

Yeah, let 'em die. They and teen-agers with ectopic pregnancies whom the nay-sayers insist may not get an abortion with public funds. The yahoos who post here make me sick. herm

Fuck! You're still alive.

are you one of the ones who accuse the right of using SCARE tactics on this matter because apparently you are adept at using it from post 87

as I asked on the other thread

why hasnt LULAC and the other racist groups for illegals made even a slight peep comment about all of this

could it be they KNOW that dems are not telling the whole story?

Yet Wilson raises $700,000 ... who's the winner here?

www.rollcall.com

0_0

Can't tell you who the winner is but I can definitely tell you who the Losers are. This brown shirt teabagger mentality does nothing to solve the ACTUAL problems we face. But, of course, we know now that the Rethugs are not interested in health care reform. They are interested in Obfuscation.

The Losers are The American People.

And we know that people who call names have no real arguments, donnerboy.

That's why they call names instead of providing real information/arguments/debate.

BOTH sides of the "aisle" are worthless, in my opinion, because of their constant seeking of federal power instead of ways to empower the people. Health care is just the latest attempt to continue to enslave the US Citizenry.

How is getting that colonoscopy that will save you from cancer going to enslave you, DAPROF?

But he has also raised 750,000 for himself. This is a non-story, next Monday Wilson will have busted through the 1 million dollar mark.

Miller passed the $1 million mark.........

WOW!!!

The Rahm Emanuel attack machine is in full roar and it didn't take them long to send Wilson's opponent the $300K from the DNC. Now comes the bogus polls and the full range of Begala-Carville dirty tricks to trash Wilson. We don't buy it, attack dogs from the left. Wilson spoke for millions and the truth has stung the Chosen One. Oh what a tangled web he weaves when he chooses to deceive.

Is there anyone out there that believes a word Obama utters? Anyone...? No? Didn't think so. Even my 8 year old knows he's a liar. The lib/dems can only lie about their true agenda so their followers won't know until it's too late how they have been devastated.

Even my 8 year old knows he's a liar.

Imagine that! You have convinced your "8 year old" son that his president is a liar.

My compliments to your powers of persuasion.

Did you keep him out of school for our President's address as well?

You're teaching your 8 year old son to hate?

You're teaching your son to be a partisan tool at the age of 8?

Wow!

Sorry, but that's pathetic!

Your son is the kid at school I tell my 9 year old to pray for.

Even my 8 year old knows he's a liar.

It's a metaphor you Dolt!

Even an 8-year-old can see that!!

You are so far up Obama's ass that you can't tell when he's lying?

Pathetic!

You're teaching your 8 year old son to hate?

WOW!!

2 dolts in a row!

The man states many scary ideas about White House officials working with Main Stream Media to an attempt to Con the American People and all you can say is that he is pathetic for teaching his son the Truth!??!

It makes me VERY afraid to send my kids to public schools anymore, because there are many people there who are as brainwahed as you.

Eddie-
His "8 year old" son is a metaphor?

If there is an 8 year old who is being taught to hate, I'm not the brainwashed one.

Obama is lying says who?? Republicans?? Oh right...they are unbiased!

Quick, your partisan slip is showing!

Why does this blog use Rachael Maddow as a source for the truth?

Real Credible, there, Kenoosh (if that is your real name)

Eddie-
What, specifically, are Obama and the "Main Stream Media" lying about in an "attempt to Con the American People" ? (no metaphors, please. Be specific.)

I would think You would be teaching Your kid not to lay smack down on a President even ones You hate at the tender age of 8. You would keep those talks biased neutral but that's just Me.

Betel's got a stupid look on his face right now.

Yes Boyd...don't you know that Eddie knows everything???

Just ask him!

Eddie-
re: Betel's got a stupid look on his face right now.

No, just an uncomfortable clear look at raw stupid.

An 8 Year old should be totally focused upon school playtime eating meals at the kitchen table THAT ONES IMPORTANT and reading. NOT being involved in political discourse unless of course He asks and it should be unbiased as possible. Let the kid learn on His or Her own about the way politicians are.

Larry

Betel, Lisa,

LOL! So, you're willing to be stupid for the sake of your argument?

You've never heard someone use "Even my 8 year old..." in a comment?

Can't forget that one.

Is that why you bicker with me to the point of you looking stupid?

(Dixie Chicks)

You've never heard someone use "Even my 8 year old..." in a comment?

All the time. I usually assume they have an "8 year old". Silly me.

But, you were going to respond to this, as I recall:

(and for expediency's sake, don't invent a young son to make an insipid point)

Eddie,

You are the only one who looked stupid when discussing The Dixie Chics.

No direct quotes...only a writers opinion and you call others stupid.

Do you even listen to Dixie Chics?

Have you ever seen an interview with them after that comment was made?

Doubtful since you are grossly underinformed and silly enough to think heresay is proof positive!

Then, the insistance that they are "done" when they are taking a break.

LOL

Too funny!

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!

"Is that why you bicker with me ..."

Oh that's right, how dare I challenge the great Wizard of Ozeddie!

Pffft.....what a hoot!

(For the record, I'm not sure if "Bumpkin44" would agree that his son doesn't exist, but you should probably ask him before you just state that he was lying, as you seem to assume. In fact, one wonders why that was your assumption; do you do that a lot?)

Dang it, Eddie! You left without so much as a goodbye!

I won't do the same to you, Eddie.

Good night!

RealClearPolitics says Miller has now raised over $1,000,000 in 48 hours. Retired Marine and Iraq War vet Miller won't leave Wilson any room to call HIM names. PPP did a poll in Wilson's SC district yesterday. Not good news for Wilson ... at all

"So, this new socialist medicine ASSURES us no illegals will filch coverage on our tax dime?
Obama did NOT lie?"

A little help for the retarded. He didn't claim people would not break the law, he claimed the proposal didn't cover illegal aliens. It doesn't. An excerpt..

"Nothing in this subtitle shall allow federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully in the United States."

"hey say that even though there is language in the bills denying coverage there is NO MECHANISM TO PREVENT THEM"

Of course there is you idiot. Once passed, violating the conditions of the bill would be an illegal act. Of course that does not eliminate the possibility that someone might get ILLEGAL coverage but neither do laws against murder eliminate murder.

Speaking of "Mechanisms to Prevent THEM", why did Bush leave office with the Southern border still more or less wide open? That's how illegals get INTO the country in the first place. Nice place for Al Qaeda to walk across right into the U.S. too.

Tom W:

Right wingers are incapable of logical thought.

In 2002, Wilson exploded after Democrat Rep. Filner stated correctly that Iraq's chemical and biological weapons program had received aid from the United States during the Iran-Iraq war, a widely known fact. Wilson claimed Filner was lying, saying that Iraq had purchased chemical weapons from the "former Soviet Union," ignoring the fact that the Iran-Iraq War ended in 1988, while the USSR still existed, and, more importantly, that the U.S. had in fact made such sales.

After falsely accusing Filner of lying, Wilson went into overdrive, launching his tirade squarely into Michele Bachmann territory, accusing Filner of harboring a secret "hatred of America."

I'll be accepting WISGOD's apology now.

Hey WISGOD-

www.dailykos.com

lol

Go Joe Wilson!

Obummer is a LIAR, LIAR, LIAR!

"YOU LIE"

The Rahm Emanuel attack machine is in full roar and it didn't take them long to send Wilson's opponent the $300K from the DNC. Now comes the bogus polls and the full range of Begala-Carville dirty tricks to trash Wilson. We don't buy it, attack dogs from the left. and after telling chldren that the outburst was out of line maybe those children should also see the tape of the state of the union where dems all booed bush and then the time that harry reid called bush a liar and kerry called american soldiers...'terrorizing from house to house' and durbin said american soldiers were as bad as naxi concentration camps and the russian gulag
and maybe tell them that ALL OF the above are signs of incivility.

and yeah sure some here will say...uh look who's talking but rememeber

WE ARE the ANSWER To democrat tyranny and facism and that its important to finish what dems start

ALL RIGHT ALEX

put out that all american liberal journalistic bird cage liner the daily kos..

I just LOVE it when this and the huffington post are used as links and proof by people who then accuse fox of being one sided.

nice

real nice

AND OH YEAH

reports are that the rhom attack machine HAS FOUND some drug use in wilsons' background

THATS RIGHT

they have proven on record

he used to be a USER........of 'no-doze'

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARHHHHHHHHHHHH
HHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wilson was totally out of line...

BUT...didn't the President say "I WANT WHAT I WANT, OR ELSE.!"

Consider these facts. The dailykos is gleeful, little phony old lady Obermann is predictably indignant and, as usual, conveniently omits or forgets facts like a whole bunch of progressive socialists (aka democrats) booed Bush during a state of the union address, and Rachel Madow does her usual pontification about the righteousness of the progressive socialists and the infallibility Obama truths. All neatly orchestrated.

Perhaps the Congressman's stupid outburst will cause people to rethink this whole thing and see the reality of the insanity of this health care debate a it is currently constituted.

How is getting that colonoscopy that will save you from cancer going to enslave you, DAPROF?

My insurance already covers that...no need for gov't insurance....

And of course....once again, no "retort" just a misdirect....congrats. Fail.

OKAY I dont have to remind anyone of my views on this or other related subjects but when it comes to one part of this lets be fair.

posts talking about how dems are pouring money into wilsons opponent

well I just got this in my email

secure.piryx.com

so yeah...they all do it......

Wilson campaign: Fundraising breaks $1 million, passes Miller

A source on Rep. Joe Wilson's campaign says his fundraising has broken $1 million -- and surpassed that of his Democratic rival, Rob Miller -- since his outburst of "You lie!" during President Obama's address to Congress Wednesday.

The source said Wilson's current tally is $1,005,021 from 18,859 donations amid a high-profile campaign on the Drudge Report and elsewhere telling conservatives that Wilson is "under attack" for his willingness to take on Obama.

Wilson, who initially apologized for his words, is now riding a reaction that has surpassed the liberal backlash to his words: Miller has raised less than $900,000, according to the Democratic fundraising site ActBlue -- though still more than enough to envigorate his challenge.

Still, Wilson's success -- despite having been criticized by Republican leaders -- represents the power of the conservative grassroots to reward politicians who confront the White House in the sharpest terms.

www.drudgereport.com

^.^

Yep, in fact, the Drudge Report has the headline:

NO LIE! SC's Wilson Rakes In $1M in 48 Hours...

So the backlash against Wilson for his outburst kinda ... fizzled ... much like the so-called "punishment" by the Dems...

What I'd do is I would have someone keep time on how long it takes Pelosi to admonish me, then I'd divide the $1 mill by that amount of time and see how much money I would be making during that speech...

Then I'd ask for time to speak and thank Ms. Pelosi for making me such and such amount of dollars per minute. :)

Then again, I tend to be a real jerk when it comes to this BS ... Wilson gets bitched-slapped even by his own party for showing the same sort of decorum that the Dems did to George Bush ... and yeah, everytime Republicans boo-ed Clinton, or when they boo Obama, they need to remember how they treated Mr. Wilson.

Quite frankly, either treat the President with respect, or turn this into the House of Commons, but let *everyone* know so they aren't surprised with it... :)

John B.

Wilson's 'Macaca Moment' will be his undoing no matter how much money he has. His district has low cost advertising rates. Miller, a retired Marine and Iraq War vet will give him the whatfor and whatnot.

By the way, Wilson and his 4 songs are on TriCare health insurance (government run health care). No wonder he doesn't care if the rest of us can get affordable health insurance or not.

Wilson and his 4 SONS ...

Bill Clinton was dubbed the 'Lying King'.... now Obama has taken over that title.... Obama stood before the nation and lied about 'no tax dollars going to abortion funding..."

Joe "You lie!" Wilson has been shown to be the real liar---what a surprise.

Well BoOb,

turns out that Baracki might just be a liar after all.

Hmmmmmmm. Too bad.

Ms. Pelosi will be apologizing soon.

"turns out that Baracki might just be a liar after all. "

Explain how, Haskell.
