Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Michael Duvall, a married 54-year-old Republican state representative from Orange County, Calif., has resigned after being caught on an open microphone bragging about his sexual exploits with two mistresses. "I am getting into spanking her," he said of a 36-year-old lobbyist. "She goes, 'I know you like spanking me.' I said, 'Yeah! Because you're such a bad girl!'"

"recorded making lurid comments during an appropriations committee hearing in July when he apparently thought his microphone was turned off. "

That's inappropriate.

Later Dork.

Too bad Rangel can't take the lead with his resignation.

He did the correct thing by resigning.
Just think of how much misery this country could have avoided if Ted Kennedy and Barney Frank had as much decency to resign after their sex scandals.

My favorite part of the article:

Duvall made the comments to fellow Assemblyman Jeff Miller, R-Corona (Riverside County), also a member of the Assembly Ethics Committee. Miller said he "really wasn't paying attention" to what Duvall was saying and did not alert the Ethics Committee about it.

Anyone actually believe one guy was hearing another guy talk about spanking a woman and "wasn't really paying attention"?!?

Anyone?

Piss off Diablow, isnt there a clergy pedophile 12 step program meeting in the church basement that you are serving drinks to tonight?

Oldwhiskey goes right to the old, reliable religion baiting!
You approved of Barney and Ted's antics, OWS?

Drunk Oldwhiskey's last diatribe of filth. This idiot could not hold an adult conversation if he sobered up and got a good night's rest for a change:

"How would Jesus protect child abusers Diablow?
"The Catholic Church put the interests of known pedophiles ahead of the interests of the children they were charged to protect, Diablow.
"Which kids would Jesus have fucked, asshole?"

The product of a damaged brain, oldwhiskey!

"How would Jesus protect child abusers Diablow?
"The Catholic Church put the interests of known pedophiles ahead of the interests of the children they were charged to protect, Diablow.
"Which kids would Jesus have fucked, asshole?"

With the exception of the last question, those are rather valid points.

I don't know what's more repulsive, the fat pol getting his pole worked or the girls working it. All of them married. And one of them an energy lobbyist, apparently. I guess she understood the game, whereas he seemed to think he had some sort of charm...

Just think of how much misery this country could have avoided if Ted Kennedy and Barney Frank had as much decency to resign after their sex scandals. ~ Diablo

Try reading the article a-gain. This is a-bout more than a simple "sex scandal".

. . . the woman who wears the "eye-patch underwear" is Heidi DeJong Barsuglia, a lobbyist for an energy company, Sempra Energy. Duvall is vice chair of the Committee on Utilities & Commerce.

Do you not see where the people of California might have reason for concern here?

Anyone actually believe one guy was hearing another guy talk about spanking a woman and "wasn't really paying attention"?!?

Anyone?

You're right.

All the Democrats secretly want to be him.

LOL!!!

The Repugs at the C Street love shack have a room at the ready in the event that Spanky Cumsack's wife kicks him out of the house.

Hey cut 'em a break he's probably never had good kinky sex before. Personally, I think those issues are between him and his wife...maybe his wife should let him spank her...I don't think he should step down for that alone...I felt the same about Clinton's head job in White House...

Well except for that whole energy lobbyist thing...

Do you think they go and hire actual prostitutes then clean up their past?

Why do politicians have to resign after they get caught doing what they were born to do. He is still getting an erection and seeing young women, then he should have been applauded.

I'm confused. A Republican got in trouble for having sex with a woman? He must not have a very wide stance. I thought in order for this to happen the R in question had to leave the country.

I kind of agree.. What's wrong with being sexy?

Not to beat this dead horse... again... but Clinton was impeached for lying under oath to avoid a sexual harrassment lawsuit. That is a Federal crime referred to a perjury.

The other real crime is that his taste in women is suspect.

Funny, JSprague. There's a fine line...

And btw, I must be too young or something, but I remember Teddy K having a death scandal, not a sex scandal. Maybe I wasn't paying attention at the right time. And what was Frank's sex scandal? The fact that he's gay, or was he caught diddling an intern or writing dirty e-mails?

"Funny, JSprague. There's a fine line..."

The fine of getting caught by your own stupid actions. What is laughable is the fact he got a 100% rating on family values. Something about one percent of polticians rightfully deserve. I would bet there are dozens and dozens of Duvalls in Sacto and have similar stories.

Just checked out Heidi's pic. She LOOKS like she would enjoy spankings!

This man should be jailed at once....

"Just checked out Heidi's pic. She LOOKS like she would enjoy spankings!"

I am sure there are hundreds of women without Lobby ties he could entertain. Whatever happened to a good old fashioned hooker?

jsprague wrote: "I kind of agree.. What's wrong with being sexy?"

Dobri den. Sexy hell yes. Foolish hell no.

Crisis

This guy is TOAST, as it should be. He should be investigated, as should his lover/whore lobbyist. Fucking sick. It's no wonder Cali is all fucked up. guy next to him's an idiot too. they obviously have some kind of relationship where the sick twist knows he can talk about spunk dripping out of his whore. he should probably be looked at too - i suspect they mutually told stories to each other when the mics weren't on.

SOMOCO,

I don't see how is sick? He likes sex which most of do and he is having sex with adult consenting women...where is the sickness?

Conflict of interest and likely sexual bribery but not sick by any stretch.

Unfaithful...yes but still not sick...maybe his wife wouldn't have sex with him or she would do it the way it makes him happy...

At any rate...grow up.

"With the exception of the last question, those are rather valid points."

Jpw, what did religion have to do with the thread topic in the first place? Do you think it is a valid point to make ad hominem attacks against a poster's religion here even when they are way off target or topic?

Ignore Old Sour Whiskey Breath. He's like Dana Carvey's Grumpy Old Man character. Unpleasant most of the time.

Anyone actually believe one guy was hearing another guy talk about spanking a woman and "wasn't really paying attention"?!?

Anyone?

"I felt the same about Clinton's head job in White House...

#14 | Posted by richardspirit"

"Head job"?? Posted by someone who obviously has never gotten a "head job" before. What a fucking dillrod.

#27. Adulterty is sick. If he accepted sex for votes, that is sick. If he was bragging out his sexual exploits during a time when he should be focused on the state's business, that is sick. The sex itself isn't sick. the circumstances are sick. if you think it's not sick, then you're sick and need to grow up.

How did Mike feel about it?

ps, if you're a "family values" guy, and your wife doesn't put out and you're "forced" to extramarital affairs - he should man-up and get counseling, a separation or divorce first.

MONTECORE,

Really stretching for something there aren't you? Have you never received head? Are you unsure what head job means? I'm sorry that you have sexually deprived but if you watch a porno I'm sure you will get the idea.

bill wants to know what kind of cigars he smokes when he got his blow jobs.

If a woman refuses sex for a period over 90 days I think it is ok to cheat as long as the man isn't a fault. Some women are cold shrews and just don't put out.

SOMOCO,

I enjoy sex and do not find it sick at all...the fact that you do shows you have many more problems than can be dealt with on DR.

While adultery and potentially trading sex for favors is dishonest...it is still not sick as there is no mental disorder that can be associated with those actions alone.

You are right he should have done the right thing but we are humans and we sometimes succumb to our desires rather than doing the right thing. But again that does not make him sick...spineless maybe but not sick.

sex is great, never said it was sick. i said the circumstances were sick and that you were sick if you didn't agree you sickie sickmeister.

anyway, the guy denies it now. says he was telling stories. so, i guess he's now just a liar. that's SICK.

SOMOCO,

oh name calling there you go that shows an intelligent argument...actually I don't mind being a little sick otherwise I wouldn't enjoy whipping a woman until she cries and then fucking her while she weeps...but you would have to come to the S&M club in town to see it.

...it just occurred to me that maybe his wife knows...I know some women who get off on their husband fucking another woman...

Doesn't Rush Limbaugh have open-mic Fridays? Dude should call in with a report from Rio Linda.

SOMOCO,

Self preservation is not a sickness either...again it is a natural normal human response to threat. Right or wrong doesn't matter but it still doesn't make him sick...show me the mental illness he suffers from...or show me the little kids fucks with or anybody that is hurt through his sexual acts...then you might have an argument but there again as long as they both are consenting adults...I see no sickness...and there is none that can be defined.

#39 - "sickie sickmeister?" OK, that's over the line.

#44 I agree - he should be banned.

"Thou shalt not commit adultery." A high enough authority for you, Richard? BTW, you totally creep me out with the S&M stuff.

I'm guessing that Duval's life will be a study in misery now. Not to mention his outed lobbyist. Can we say corruption now that we have lobbyist chicks putting out to get big legislative favors for their corporate pimps? And can we say arrogance with the way this guy boasted about it--and wasn't sorry for his sin, but for getting caught at it?

Perhaps his wife will have a few choice words for him. Maybe the lobbyist's parents and friends will give her some belated advice on maturity, ethics, and good judgment. I'm sure there are consequences.

Um no.

I don't believe in Sin or at least how you interpret sin...and I'm glad that I creep you out...then I won't have to worry about running into you at the club.

Oh and lobbyist's trading sex for favors is nothing new...did you not read about what was going on in the Department of Energy...my god you would have thought it was a frat house.

The funny thing here is that if we freed ourselves from this idea that sex is bad and wrong or can only be done a certain way then we will leave opportunities for people like the lobbyist to use sex as a tool. We would either be spanking his wife or a professional sex worker and thus no need to accept sexual favors from the lobbyist.

We = He

#47 - But why must we spank in the first place? Why?

"Really stretching for something there aren't you? Have you never received head? Are you unsure what head job means? I'm sorry that you have sexually deprived but if you watch a porno I'm sure you will get the idea.

It's called a "blow job," or "getting head," you moron - not a "head job." If you were ever on the receiving end instead of always on the giving end you might know that. Now wipe your chin kid, your next customer is waiting.

#50 Monte don't be so goofy. This term "head job" really is used in different parts of the English-speaking world. Get out of the den sometime. See the world, son.

#43. He hurt a lot of people. Assuming he is a "family values" touter, as he proclaims to be: (1) he hurt his wife; (2) even if his wife is into the scene, I dare say they haven't told their kids, and his kids are hurt by this - will be ridiculed etc based on his actions; (3) if his parents are around, I'm sure that they are hurt by this; (4) he's made a mockery of the family values deal that many of his constituents bought and sent him to office, in part, for; (5) he's hurt the political system by reinforcing all the negative stereotypes people have in connection with politicians; (6) if his stories are true, he may well have ruined the marriage of the lobbyist; (7) her entire family will have to suffer along with her the embarrassment of the situation; (8) if false, he essentially defamed her and cast a lot of suspicion on her; (9) he's gonna hurt the guy he was telling, who will no doubt be investigated; (10) he'll hurt the state by the money that will have to be spent investigating whether decisions were influenced by this, and whether deals will have to be undone. That, in turn may negatively affect the lobbyists clients, who might have done everything perfect, but everyone will wonder whether they were gaming the deal all along.

There's lots of people hurt by this.

MONTECORE,

You fail to take into account that we all come from different places each with its unique sayings and the meanings behind them...

...we use head job or blow job interchangeably...but then you would have to take your head out of your ass to realize that there is a whole world outside of you.

But nice try :)

Somoco if you want to hold preachy people to every single principle they preach, there are plenty of examples of spectacular failures on both sides of the political aisle.

It just depends on what flavor Kool-Aid a given pol is pushing down your throat.

But it's true that there are some pol/lobbyist relationships that are just too cozy for the taxpayers.

Richard: "Hey, fella, can I give you a head job? It's only $20."

Potential customer: "Head job? What's that?"

Mr. Fair: "Sure, I'm up for that. But I only have $10."

Richard: "Come on over here, big guy. Let's see that tenner."

Mr. Fair: "Tenner? That's kind of, well, an exaggeration."

Richard: "I meant the money, silly."

SOMOCO,

1) you don't know his wife so you don't know if it hurt her or not

2) if we were open about sexuality in society then the kids would not be hurt...as their pain comes from unrealistic expectations of their parents and will most likely grow out of any "pain" felt.

3) possibly but again you don't know them so you can't make that claim.

4) he made a mockery of this so called "family values" movement which first defines a caricature of real family values and then proceeds to violate this definition...real family values have not been hurt in the least

5)The political system has shrugged off deviants of a much higher caliber than him without any trouble

6) speculation but even still those were her choices and not his

7) you don't know her family so you can't say that empirically

8) the lie then is the problem not his sexual infidelity

9) he can't be responsible for another persons action or inaction.

10) agreed his choice of partner may or may have not been to support illegal means and will cost the state money to investigate.

You make too many assumptions based on your own beliefs assuming that all have the same value systems.

Richard, you can be sure you won't run into me at the club.

Why is it so difficult for so many people to remain faithful to their spouse? It really is not that hard to do. Just make a personal decision to be faithful and stick to it. We all understand and experience lust. But either most human beings are pathetically weak in being unable to resist temptation, or they don't really give a damn. In any case, to paraphrase someone famous, a person who cheats on his/her spouse isn't worth a bucket of spit.

It's easier for people like moder8, who are fugly. It's harder when you actually get hit on.

I meant "like you, moder8."

#57 - LOL = FF!

Thanks, Fair. Good of you to be able to laugh at something like that, and not cry like most of thin-skinned around here.

Montecore, it is not a matter of personal looks. Pretty much every married human being alive has the opportunity to cheat if they so choose. Even if it involves paying money.
Being faithful is simply an issue of personal character. Nothing less.

#65

Absolutely right, Mod!

I have to agree with Montecore. I don't care where you're from, or what they call a BJ in your neck of the woods, "head job" is just wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

If I ever catch you saying that around here again, there's going to be violence.

If you want a head job around these parts, it's going to involve valves, springs, retainers and gaskets.

i'll bet you at least 8 out of 10 of my assumptions are 100% correct, and that most people's value system's a lot closer to mine than yours.

Have you SEEN this guy?

True that. He's 54? Is it just me or does he look closer to 70?

SOMOCO,

uh huh...the facts seem to show that while people claim to have values as yours...their actions show that they values closer to mine...I'm just not afraid to be honest about it...like the senator that was trying to get gay sex in a bathroom...who cares? I don't...I just wish he would openly admit to bi sexual tendencies.

Is infidelity a "value" of yours RS? Is that what you are saying?

I'm unmoved. sicky sickerton.

Moder8,

So long as it is conscensual. I like variety and I will bed down with whomever I choose and I tell my partners to expect it...if my partner doesn't like it then she can leave.

If however I were to ever officially collar a partner then there would be ground rules. The issue then would be about honesty and upholding a promise but nothing to do with sex.

.....hard to believe a Republican would be bragging about having sex with a woman......

.....but....she is a lobbyist.......

.....so that probably makes it a perverse sort of thrill for him, being able to screw her and his constituents, all at the same time......a sort of Republican Group Sex.....

YEAH!

Imagine How these Comments made His Wife Feel, you know, the Mother of His Two Children?

Oh, that's Right ----- that's the Last Thing that Would Come to the Mind of a "Family Values" voter!

It appears Richie is searching for kindred spirits.

MONTECORE,

And? Your point?

My point is that your boyfriend is going to feel sour if you start giving head jobs to all the rest of the boys in the neighborhood. Ask Nanc to find you a nice lady from her church - you can be saved, Richie! Saved!

Well, as long as you know we tried. It's the hateful thought that counts.

Denial is not just a river in Egypt.

It is the philosphy of the Nopers.

philosophy!

This was my favorite news story when i saw it yesterday! Laughed. My. Ass. Off! I've begun to believe that every time we see a "values" person in politics, they're overcompensating for their lack thereof. Not a shock, nor a shock that the louts who vote for them are so gullible.

On a side note, who said cheating should be viable after 90 days without getting any? You're quite forgiving. I feel that unless there are extenuating circumstances such as business travel, military duty, or some such thing, the relationship contract is violated after 14 days - think about that - only twice a month?
