"There is a legitimate, if wildly improbable, fear that Obama's plan will start a process that will end with a health-care system entirely controlled by the government."
I think the Republicans would secretly love to support the Public Option because they know that its a money loser from the get go because it will begin by insuring the sickest, previously uninsurable among us and will likely kill substantive reform for a generation. But they can't do that because they don't want the political heat, so they have to engage in gross mischaracterizations about what the Public Option really is, a gimme to the insurance companies, who will no longer have the pressure of having to cover those less desirables.

The mainstream media has created a false debate in the U.S.. Liberals and democrats support this bill because they see it as single payer healthcare for all while conservatives and republicans oppose it because they see it as single payer socialized medicine. But as the American people argue over something that does not even exist, they completely miss the things that spell the opposite of healthcare for all as well as the things that are much worse than "socialized medicine." Essentially, this bill is going to require every American to purchase a private insurance plan with their own money. If you can't afford this private insurance, then you will be "taxed" or fined by the government HR 3200: p. 167 Title IV. s. 401(a)PDF file, www.google.dk

If they actually tried to fix the problems like rising costs etc many of the other problems would take care of them selves.

The Red Chinese are pissed and don't want to loan any more $$$ to pay for Obamacare.
They are smart enough to demand more interest on their loans if we want to provide medical care for for 30 MILLION+ ILLEGALS.
