This video interview with Congressman Pete Stark is a real hoot. This forebodes what we can expect from Washington. Stark thinks debt is wealth. I would translate to mean that they think Bernanke has the power to create wealth out of nothing.

These interviews are good. Senator Harry Reid maintains that our tax system is voluntary.

On another related note. That famous claim of 230 mpg by the Government Motors Volt car is based on driving no more than 40 miles a day. That's what an overnight charge will get you. Longer than that, mileage goes down significantly. Of course, the electricity comes from fossil fuels. Unless it is subsidized, the Volt is priced at $40,000. It's not competitive lower priced cars like the Corolla. This car is going to be another government boondoggle.
