Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

If they could vote to keep or replace the entire Congress, just 25% of voters nationwide would keep the current batch of legislators.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 57% would vote to replace the entire Congress and start all over again. Eighteen percent (18%) are not sure how they would vote.

Overall, these numbers are little changed since last October. When Congress was passing the unpopular $700-billion bailout plan in the heat of a presidential campaign and a seeming financial industry meltdown, 59% wanted to throw them all out. At that time, just 17% wanted to keep them.

With Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein, and Charley Rangel no wonder people can't stand congress.

I would mention some of the bad republicans but Duke Cunningham and Dennis Hastert are already gone.

I started a similar thread, now retitled and given a different slant since Obama-freindly journalism trumps all debate....
But I post again: Would this percentage of disapproval be the same at any time since Congress first warmed seats?

I'll go along with the 57% too. Throw the bums out.

There are a fair number of good people in Congress but too many of them have been in office too long and special interests now seem to be calling the shots for most of them.

We need TERM LIMITS.

Can we start with Nanci Pelosi? I wonder how many people want to replace her.

So how does this fit in with da bOoB's two country thing. According to him, everyone either likes the left or the right. Sounds like 57% like neither!

Could da bOoB be wrong?!?

I for one would like to replace the whole 57%.

Seriously, who DIDN'T vote for the incumbent last go round?

"I wonder how many people IN HER DISTRICT want to replace her.

That's the only question that matters.

Actually, it's a trashed thread because your single-mindedness trumps all debate. You continually post nothing but anti-Obama garbage in every thread and give no balanced arguments whatsoever. You must suck, apparently.

What Obama-friendly journalism is hurting your thread, specifically? My guess is that you Republicans are feeling bitchy because more blacks and Hispanics are involved in politics than ever before - and they vote Democrat by a large majority. Your party is long OVERWITH.

On topic: It's time for Congressional heads to roll and these fuckers have been profiteering from wars, oil and unfair trade, retarding our society and the global economy far too long, maintaining a status quo of misery and theft. All pigs must die, after all.

"I wonder how many people IN HER DISTRICT want to replace her.

As a congressional rep, that is true. But we all have an interest in replacing her as 3rd in line for the presidency.
