Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Democrats on the "franking commission" have deliberately tried to censor mail that conservative House members are attempting to send out to their constituents.

Representative Trent Franks (R-Arizona) says the Franking Commission told him to stop using the phrase "Democratic majority" in his newsletters, and to use "majority" instead. He was also told to use the term "Speaker," and not "Speaker Pelosi

Change! Transparent Government! Freedom of Speech!

It's the Chicago way Joe. I am sure you are familiar with it.

I can only imagine the outrage had a Republican majority censored congressional democrat mailings.

The Committee on House Administration's Commission on Congressional Mailing Standards, a.k.a. the "Franking Commission" membership:

Rep. Susan Davis (CA), Chairwoman - Democrat
Rep. Dan Lungren (CA), Ranking Member - Republican
Rep. Donna Edwards (MD)- Democrat
Rep. Kevin McCarthy (CA)- Republican
Rep. Brad Sherman (CA)- Democrat
Rep. Tom Price (GA)- Repubican

Yeah, I can see where the Dems are really lording it over the GOPers; I mean, just look at that lock they have on how the committee votes.

I demand the "Franking Commission" become a bipartian body, with membership divided equally between the Repubicans and Democrats!

You bozos really don't have a thing, do you?

ROTFLMAO!

What does that prove? That doesn't say the democrats can't deem a mailing non frankable. Both parties review material seperately.

The majority staff and minority staff take turns reviewing it, and if the majority staff (dems) determine non frankable, isn't it blocked?

Let's see now...Three Democrats. Got that? Good. Three Republicans. Got that? Good. If that doesn't provide some sort of strong indication to you about just how difficult it would be to actually "control" the committee and its actions it's time you hired a dowser. And if that doesn't appeal, I have a dandy 5,989 foot-long, 126-year-old suspension bridge I'd be willing to let go for a song (cash only, PayPal okay).

I'll just assume that you are unable to answer the question, "The majority staff and minority staff take turns reviewing it, and if the majority staff (dems) determine non frankable, isn't it blocked?"

We don't need their stinkin mail.

Health care is as dead as Kelsies nuts.

We Raised $1.2 Million to Stop Obamacare in Just Weeks . . .

We Can Do More If You Care . . .

Dear Friend:

I have some incredibly good news.

Just two weeks ago, we at the League of American Voters decided to come out strongly to stop Obamacare and educate the American people to its dangers.

We appealed to our members and asked them to contribute.

As of today, we have received more than $1.2 million!

So, thanks to your contributions, we have been pouring this money into crucial states, airing a powerful TV ad that our chief strategist, Dick Morris, crafted.

Wow! They won't let outright lies be mailed out at government expense. Oh, the outrage I feel.

"So, thanks to your contributions, we have been pouring this money into crucial states, airing a powerful TV ad that our chief strategist, Dick Morris, crafted."'

Oh, it's so wonderful to know that you can continue to push lies on the American people. Frighten them with bull shit, it's the American way.

Well, Danni-you know the rtard mantra-

"Since we can't dazzle them with brilliance-we'll have to baffle 'em with bullshit!"

I'll just assume that you are unable to answer the question, "The majority staff and minority staff take turns reviewing it, and if the majority staff (dems) determine non frankable, isn't it blocked?"

Assume what you will, but that's not what it says in the link you provided.

So I'll just assume you don't know the answer.

danni, member the messiahs of truth squad. I am glad to know you are here making our lives safe.

Danni is going to make a wonderful little Brown Shit.

Redneck, Rush has been saying that elections have consequences ever since 2006, and also says Dems can do whatever they want without Rep input.

Elections do have consequences, and people are realizing that.

No worries, the pendulum will swing, and the more abusive the dems the faster it will swing.

Also, love many of their proposed ideas such as emergency control of the Net. Bet you all will love that when there is a Republican administration. Gotta love that slippery slope.

Republicans can't use correct terminology because they are being seen for what they are - liars, thieves and war profiteers. Let them eat SHIT.

Danni, if you love the shit Obama is peddling why don't you just move to Canada now and you won't have to wait to get your socialized government issued and rationed medical care.

Representative Trent Franks (R-Arizona)

I live in Arizona, never heard of this guy

Personally, I think it is irrelevant that various phrases are being focus group manipulated.
The awakening of the American people is at an all-time high.
I talk with some of the Privates in my Troop (Privates who's life experiences are limited to sex, alcohol, driving cars and playing video games) and nearly all of them have a solid understanding of Obama, the Dem Congress, Obamacare, Government Motors and Cash for Clunkers.
It may not seem like much but, a few years ago, it would have been considered an accomplishment for kids like these to simply know who the President is, let alone what's going on in Government.
I think the time may have passed for the Dems to try and hide who they are, what they want and what they're doing.
More Americans than ever before are wide-eyed and talking.

ah yes

In other words, your post about how many of each party sitting on the committee was meaningless and offered no answers.

And you're right, I don't know the answer, which is why I put a little symbol known as a question mark at the end of my post. Looks like this: ? This is in contrast to yourself, who proudly thought he knew, but didn't.
