Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

The 9th circuit court ruled that federal investigators had no authority to seize records from the 2003 steroid test conducted by Major League Baseball. The list provided the identity of more than 100 players that failed the test that year, MLB's first year of mandatory steroid testing. Since the list has been seized it has been leaked that it contained the names of some baseball's top stars such as A-Rod, Manny Ramirez, David Ortiz and others.

"This must be a mistake, everyone knows the feds never overstep their authority. You have nothing to fear if you haven't done anything wrong, right?"

Or So You and your rtard comrades claimed, pre November 2006

I thought the little o fixed all that.

Who cares if athletes want to use steroid? They only serve to entertain us its not like our lives or security depend upon them.

what, you guys don't know THE PROHIBITIONIST yet when you see one?

this is just another of their vehicles.

time for pro sports to use whatever they like... it all comes out in the wash and the light. everyone knows that some of these drugs can be used successfully... or you will suffer the consequences of experimentation (re: Lyle Alzado, et al).

we sell sports like we sell sex. LEGALIZE ALL OF IT for safer more prosperous world. as long as we try to bust it and hide and deride it, kids will be ruined and corruption rampant, lives destroyed (by the Prohibition).

this is simple: regarding this MOST IMPORTANT issue you are either part of the problem of part of the solution. there is NO MIDDLE GROUND, NO COMPROMISING of PRINCIPLES here.

Prohibition, the Eighteenth Amendment, took effect on January 20,
1920. Reverend A. C. Bane declared the nation, "redeemed by
prohibition" ... "America will 'go over the top' in humanity's greatest battle... struggling with the same age-long foe, we will go forth with the spirit of the missionary and the crusader to help drive the demon of drink from all civilization." Reverend Sam Small in 1917, spoke these powerful words to the Washington, D. C. Anti‑saloon League's convention, "...you and I may proudly expect to see this America of ours, victorious and Christianized, become not only the savior but the model and the monitor of the reconstructed civilization of the world in the future."

The Reverend Josiah Strong, coeditor of the magazine "The Gospel of the Kingdom," wrote, "Personal Liberty is at last an uncrowned king, with no one to do him reverence. ...We are no longer frightened by that ancient bogey...." First Lady Nancy Reagan said, "Any user of illicit drugs is an accomplice to murder." Former U. S. government drug czar William Bennett said, "It [drug abuse] is a product of the Great Deceiver.... We need to bring these people in need the God who heals." Indeed, in need of an education.

PROHIBTION is not the way to bring people to God.

"The more hopeless our drug problem becomes, the more stubbornly we cling to the myth that drugs pose a threat to every man, woman, and child in the world, and the more certain we are of our duty to combat drug abuse by coerced treatment and criminal penalties at home, and by armed intervention and economic sanctions abroad. Truly, we are the redeemer nation, our centuries-old ambivalence toward alcohol seemingly entitling us to assume the role of moral savior not merely of our own people, but of people everywhere."

even baseball.

I smell some serious lawsuits coming...

On a darker note, if this had been anyone other than the major league baseball they never would have recieved a just verdict. Thus: money = justice in America, painfully proving once again that justice has never been blind. And, that there are two systems of justice: one for the rich and the corporate entities, and one for the rest of us peasants...

I thought the little o fixed all that.

Obama? This is Bush era handiwork.

For those too lazy to read the article:
The government seized the samples and records in April 2004 from baseball's drug-testing companies.....

More of that 'Bush Legacy'!!

WTF is it with people thinking I am a Republican?

I haven't changed my "chant" unlike many Democrats here who suddently don't care about civil rights. And Republicans are Johnny-come-latelies. As of January 20, 2009, it is fashionable to be a "guardian of the Constitution."

Yes, also, It is advantageous if you suffer from mid-to-long term memory loss. The ability to believe in fables is also helpful. One final ingredient, the ability to be led around by your theological testicles, and voila, you have todays republicans.

But on the other hand, I'm content to let them be hyper-active about the constitution. The constitution is just fine the way it's written. I'm gladd they picked a worthy cause. Of course later, they'll have to be slapped down again for trying to make a Jesus admendment.

Odds are that the courst ruling will be overturned. After all the 9th circuit is the most overturned court by the U.S. S/C.

Why? It Took Bush Eight Months to Blow up His First City!

It Took Bush Eight Months to Blow up His First City!

Obama is well on his way to blowing up his first country.

Obama is well on his way to blowing up his first country.

Fear! Fear! Fear!

You can't hide your Republicanism, Goat.

"Obama is well on his way to blowing up his first country."

Which means he's moving pretty fast. I mean, at this point in his presidency Bush was still almost two years away from blowing up his first country. Of course, at this stage in Bush's presidency Al Qaeda was well on its way to blowing up the World Trade Center.

You can't hide your Republicanism, Goat.

Oh.

I didn't realize that criticism of Obama made one a republican. Are some of your blue dogs also republican?

Welcome, yav, to null's world of insisting on pigeonholing goatma.

BTW, it may come as a surprise, but I am more aware of my political affiliations than you are, yav, odd as that may be to you. And I can guarantee you I am not a republican.

Go force someone else into your molds. I'm not interested.

Criticism doesn't.

Welcome, yav, to null's world of insisting on pigeonholing goatma.

Aw. You're so misunderstood.

And I can guarantee you I am not a republican.

I didn't say you were.

Go force someone else into your molds. I'm not interested.

"There's an old saying in Tennessee I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee that says,.." if the shoe fits.

Aw. You're so misunderstood.

Only by those binary people who don't know better.

"There's an old saying in Tennessee I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee that says,.." if the shoe fits.

So are you saying since I am against the death penalty, pro abortion, against prayer in school, against school vouchers, pro gay rights, I am a democrat, yav?

I assure you I am not. Just because there are only two shoes doesn't mean you are forced to make one of them fit.

Al Qaeda was well on its way to blowing up the World Trade Center.

Are you sure? I thought the US government did that.

I thought the little o fixed all that.

Just break the Baseball monopoly rule.

"You have nothing to fear if you haven't done anything wrong, right?"

Yes Member, that was Bush's philosophy.

So are you saying since I am against the death penalty, pro abortion, against prayer in school, against school vouchers, pro gay rights, I am a democrat, yav?

No, I'm saying you hide behind these positions any time you're challenged, but you do nothing but constantly attack Democrats and by doing so, and letting the Right slide by, you end up caricaturing yourself and undermining your credibility. It's difficult to tell you from the less than stellar righties because of it.

Take it as you will. I am just telling you what your blog persona appears to me. If you get tired of always having to pull out that nice little line, take it as a clue.

Or not.

Hide behind those positions? I often openly proclaim them! Yav, clearly you have been recruited by null to try to shove me into a preconcieved mold. Who knows what you get out of it. But just because there is only a left shoe and a right shoe does not mean I have to wear either one.

Letting the right slide by? I've also said I don't like bush, the war in Iraq, the whole jesus thing, etc. I'm quite consistent on these things.

Why do you see only what you want to see, ignore the rest, then obsess on it? That is really, really, bizarre, yav. Get out of your monotonous binary mode and understand that there are actually people on this planet that espouse positions from both sides. As my admissions indicate, i am clearly one of them. Deal with it, yav, no matter how painful it is to move out of your binarism.

Weird, indeed, that forcibly placing someone into a mold is actually venture that people embark on. I'm not sure I'll ever understand it.

Again, cuz you obviously missed the point...

You only attack lefties, which makes them doubt your pedigree.

Got it?

You only attack lefties, which makes them doubt your pedigree.

duh. This is a lefty blog after all alex. DOes everything have to be spelled out for you?

You only attack lefties

Wrong. Enjoy the consolotion prize

You only attack lefties

Thing #1 replies: "duh. This is a lefty blog after all alex. DOes everything have to be spelled out for you?"

Thing #2 sez: "Wrong. Enjoy the consolotion(sic) prize"

So which is it?

So which is it?

Both alex. Surely you know that. It is mostly lefties I "attack" (being a left wing blog as I pointed out), but you are wrong to say "you only attack lefties.
