Jeebus, this is priceless!

Steele "revealed a secret Republican plan that would end up eliminating all federal farm subsidies; closing down Yellowstone and Yosemite national parks; selling off the interstate highway system; and canceling Head Start, subsidized school lunches and the entire college loan program."

Steele, the RNC's resident step-to-the-front buffoon, "chairman committed the GOP to spending an ever-increasing share of the federal budget, and the national income, on Medicare. When combined with other Republican promises -- to balance the budget, protect defense spending and never, ever raise anyone's taxes -- the inescapable inference is that the government would run out of money for every other domestic program sometime around 2035."

Uh-oh.

"Steele's stunning announcement brings the conservative strategy of 'starving the beast' to a new level. Under the guise of protecting the elderly, Republicans hope to realize their dream of eliminating half a dozen Cabinet agencies, firing tens of thousands of government workers and ending government regulation as we know it."

Hoo-ha!

You've got to read this article. Steele's really outdone himself this time.

I wonder how much the Democrats are paying him.

The GOP deserves what they get. This is what happens when you make an affirmative action appointment.

This can't be true....is it? Maybe a spoof?

Fres,
I was just thinking the same thing. This HAS to be satire. There is no way he is that dumb.

Michael Steele is a token Black and was apointed because he is black to be the GOP point man. He is easily manipulated and will do as he is told eveidence by saying Rash Limbaugh is an entirtainer and then the next day taking his words back.

This is racism.

Ya'll a bunch of racists.

Somebody call Rev. Al Sharpton.

Somebody call Rev. Al Sharpton.

Call him what?

IDIOT

"You've got to read this article. Steele's really outdone himself this time."

Hmmmmm.

From the article.
"If all that sounds spurious and unsubstantiated, it is. "

Time to think about taking your own advise.

LOL what a dumb shit.

Steele's article just a ploy to help Sara Palin the President of the Idiots Club.

Haha what an idiot he must be. His party has majorities in both chambers and the presidency and can't pass a major bill when the president's reputation is a stake. Haha he must be a real idiot.

Still missing it?

It is satire using hyperbole.

Got it?

Did i forget to mention Doc_Sarvic is the real idiot?

"Did i forget to mention Doc_Sarvic is the real idiot?"

Ya gotta love the self-retorting retort.

Hey guys-read the article:
"If all that sounds spurious and unsubstantiated, it is. And like many of the overstated claims in this column, its purpose is to highlight the lies, distortions and political scare tactics that Steele and other Republicans have used to poison the national debate over health reform. "

Pearlstein is doing unto the NOPpers what the NOPpers have done unto the Dems. Only he's admitting it.

You don't understand. He was our only black guy.

"You don't understand. He was our only black guy."

Tokens are like that; rare, one at a time.

Are you talking about Obama or Steele?

That would be Steele, of course, who was elected by an elite within an elite of a marginalized, resoundingly defeated political party possessed of little in the way of imagination, nothing in the way of ideas, existing on the fringe of national life; Obama, on the other hand, was elected by 53% of the voters in the last national election. Or don't you remember? LOL.
