Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Be warned: the four-minute PSA is extremely graphic, showing not only the realistic bloody injuries of three pretty teenage girls, but also an unresponsive infant in a car seat and a preschooler asking her unconscious and bleeding parents to wake up.

I think you wasted your time and mine.

If I wasted your time, then mission accomplished. At least you probably weren't texting, driving and watching the video all at once.

Now wait...this isn't a bad idea.

Kids respond to visuals. And if kids are driving age, they need to see what could happen if they text while driving.

I haven't watched the video, don't know what it is about. All I did was read your thread.
I'm sitting here in my office. Who in their right mind would do all the shit you described?

Sorry, Whatsleft, for the 'tude. I had to pay taxes today.

it's not only teens who text.

I understand.

Who in their right mind would do all the shit you described?

Nobody...in their right mind, but it seems like I see someone doing the equivalent of all that almost every day. I don't give a shit if they want to kill themselves but leave me out of it.

Exactly.... its the brain dead look in their eyes as they cut you off without signaling. Can't be bothered to lift their finger to use the turn signal, you know. You are on a need to know basis.
Using the turn signal is a sign of weakness.

What gets me is that they realize what they have done, and dart away.

That is a powerful PSA. Reminds me of driving to work last week. I passed 3 cars that were driving slower than everyone else and my car pool partner pointed out that the drivers in all 3 were texting.

Using a handheld computing device should be banned while driving. I went to Chicago a few weeks ago. My buddy driving was trying to use his handheld GPS. I got sick of him having to hit the breaks hard because he kept looking down to see the GPS so I took it from him and told him he could have it back once we got to the hotel.

I had the direction written down ahead of time but that wasn't good enough for the dumb dick.
