John McCain's brother sent an e-mail to campaign and Republican officials late Monday blasting the campaign's strategy. "Let John McCain be John McCain," wrote Joe McCain. "Make ads that show John not as crank and curmudgeon but as a great leader for his time."

Huge endorsement could turn the tide for the maverick.

Good Grief!

The man is old and tired. And still his own brother is out there cracking the whip.

If McCain can't be the master of his own campaign, he can hardly be master of any Ship of State.

If McCain needs "handlers" to guide his course, he's not likely to cast them off after November 4.

If McCain cannot make his own decisions at this stage in his life, he's already too indentured to those special interests he pretends to abhor.

I say let's give this old warrior the biggest favor of his life ~ certainly one that the snarling neocons have never thought about.

His life! ~ free from the stresses of the presidency which could certainly kill him before his time.

Time for Ol' Stewball to be let out to pasture.

Not to worry.....

A man of Irish descent knwon for his 'hot blood' will become the 44th.

To worry..... someone will die soon and scare the hell out of dems and repubs and bring them together as never before.....

Don't do it, Takitez!
Nobody cares.

Thanks Doc_Sarvis..... Life and Death are in the hands of Almighty God.

I'll bite. Who?

In very very high political office --- of natural cause. Near future.

Joe shouldn't want to be a target of Rove's ire.

Takeitz: Are you referring to Cheney's new health issue?

How? The only way I can figure it is that McCain bites the dust and America comes together in not wanting that wackjob Sarah anywhere near the oval office.

Life and Death are in the hands of Almighty God.

And I thought bin laden was responsible for 9-11. I guess I owe an apology to BB and JinD.

And sad but true flag for Geezer.

I agree with his bro to a certain extent but if being mccain means not bringing up lies from obama and his past assoiciations with some of the worst people we have ever seen........then he needs to be mccain with the balls to call it the way it is........

and all he would have to do is just keep repeating obamas answer to the plumber from just the other day and he will draw a lot closer to the liar form chicago

"A man of Irish descent knwon for his 'hot blood' will become the 44th."

O'Bama? Perhaps, but I don't think anyone would characterize him as being hot blooded.

"someone will die soon and scare the hell out of dems and repubs and bring them together as never before....."

Does this fall into the same category as the "I hate whitey tape," which was supposed to doom Obama's campaign. You know, that one that was promised in June?

If you have anything to say to Takitez, say it now, because come Nov. 4th, you won't every see her again.

""""Make ads that show John not as crank and curmudgeon but as a great leader for his time.""""

There are not enough special effects in the world or enough gullible idiots in the u.s. to achieve that goal.

But it WOULD be nice to see the geezer faint on stage tonight. herm

Cheney die and bring us all together?

If that happened-the righties would be standing around all teary eyed-and the rest of us wouldn't give a rat's ass.......

How is that bringin' us all together?

takeit is prophesizing' Jayzuzz is gonna show up and start campaigning for the guy his father grew up with.

Forget all the polls and focus on Ohio.

It will come down to Ohio again!

Legal battles have already started against voter fraud.

>>Cheney die and bring us all together?

OMG, who will be left to shoot the lawyers. They don't allow helicopter hunts in DC.

Cheney die and bring us all together?

How is that bringin' us all together?

But, a State funeral with the black horses marching down Pennsylvania Avenue and all that .... chance for McCain to stand at the curb and salute. Heck, William Casey "died" the night before he was to testify in the Iran-Contra hearings. These old war horses will bite the cyanide capsule for the greater cause. Cheney drops dead by Halloween and McCain wins by a nose. Poetry.

Farewell, Old Scout

I didn't say anything about Cheney and these liberals assumed things and went on a wild goose chase.... lol.

You will know it only when it comes to pass....

The liberal media is lying when they try to convince you that Sarah has been a drag on McCain now.

In Scranton PA the Clintons campaigning for Obama got a crowd of 4000; the next day Sarah went there and 7000 showed up. And it was a Democrats for McCain event.

Takit,

Seriously...Obama is going to win by a landslide. What will you say November 5th?

Really,

Tell me honestly, Danforth: of the two candidates, who has been criticised as a Democrat who is actually a Republican.

Who has been criticized that way before?

Takit,

I'm not sure what you mean. Rather than respond incorrectly, please elaborate.

McCain has been criticised as liberal by his own party for reaching out to and agreeing with Democrats on several occasions --- that is why the enthusiasm gap was happening on his side (until Sarah came along)

Now I have an answer based on that premise: a Democrat who is actually a Republican!

Do you know the answer?

Let John McCain be John McCain? Who the hell is the real John McCain? The guy who spoke of agents of intolerance or the guy who gave the commencement speech at Falwell's university? The guy who is a maverick or the guy who voted for Bush policies 90% of the time? The guy who was above negative campaigning and for bipartisanship or the guy who hired all the Bushies that savaged him in 2000? He is acting as erratic and schizophrenic as Hillary did in the primaries, and I suspect for the same reason: he, too, thought he was the inevitable candidate this year. He spent the last 8 years positioning himself for the inevitable mantle. Now that the tactic isn't working, he's trying to shrug it off and run as a maverick/reformer, which would have been more convincing to the American people if he hadn't spent the last eight years trying to win over the Republican base. He picked Palin to seal the deal. Well, now he has to live with the seeds of affinity he has sewn.

"...a Democrat who is actually a Republican! Do you know the answer?"

More to the point, I don't think you know the question. Wouldn't McCain be a Republican who is actually a Democrat?

"Let John McCain be John McCain,"....

Sorry I have to be the one to inform you, Joe, but John McCain hasn't been John McCain since Nov 8, 2000, when he decided to toe the Bush-ite line.

Who cares if "maverick" applied before that. For the past eight years he's been anything but.

McCain has no pride. He's letting Rove and the Rove army call the shots and play their dirty tricks after Rove shafted McCain with the same dirty tricks. He cares much more about being President than he cares about you or me, and McCain will be Rove's whore to get there.
