It's a sad commentary on what purports to be higher education nowadays that a person with an IQ of 83 could be graduated from an accredited "institution of higher learning" as having mastered the curriculum.
I suppose that the lefties on this board would suggest that Marilyn vos Savant should be the next President of the United States. I know a young lady, who completed only two years of college, who because of other shortcomings is now relegated to working in call centers, or analogous employment. Her IQ is 186. So, the equating of IQ with achievement is problematical at least. I know a number of highly intelligent low achievers not only in terms of socio-economic status, but also in terms of personal relationships.
Seemingly, Ms Palin does not carry the burdens of vindictiveness, or mental illness, or residual brain damage due to crack cocaine use, that afflict some other candidates for the top executive offices. Her appearances demonstrate a grasp of information far in excess of these reports of her IQ and achievement. And she would at least be amenable toward receiving counsel from people with really high IQs.
As I recall John Bolton, a man with an enormous intellect, and a very high IQ was rejected as Ambassador to the UN despite his enormous capabilities. So, it seems that IQ is not the ultimate denominator of perceived ability.
Better a dolt than someone a bit more intelligent but grievously impaired by mental illness, narcissism, and borderline personality disorder. That's Obama.
