Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Last night, Rachel Maddow intellecutally sparred with former Bush speechwriter/National Review contributor David Frum, after Frum thought he'd cleverly ambush Maddow with the accusation that she was contributing to the low tone of the political discourse. Rather than fly off the handle, Maddow addressed the attack with an intellectual prowess that you will never see amongst republican pundits.

Much better

That is because neither Rush nor Sean have any intellectual prowess.

hahahahaha Score 1 for Rachel Maddow. Big ole Goose eggs for both Sean Hannity and Rush Limpbaugh.

Larry

Fascinating discussion. Both made good points. I thought Frum held his own and Maddow showed that she has the intellectual clout and quickness to discard the script and think on her feet.

I'd like to see Wolfowitz on her show. I'm sure she'll ask him, not sure he'd accept. I'd like to see Frum on O'Reilly or Hannity and Colmes too. I'm not sure that they'd ask him or that he'd accept if they did knowing that he wouldn't get the same civility he got from Maddow.

I have stopped watching both Hannity and Olberman. They are the same person, just a different view of the world. I have watched Maddow a couple times. She seems too full of herself for my taste. The smugness and snarkiness just does not do it for me.

Maddow did a great job handling that topic derailment, and she managed to disagree with David Frum without slamming him or cutting him off. She may be too good for cable TV.
