Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

David Iglesias, the former U.S. attorney of New Mexico, said that he was pressured by Republicans to prosecute voter fraud cases, even after he said that no evidence of fraud could be found, as a means to suppress turnout. "There appears to be a growing body of evidence that suggests that there's voter suppression going on throughout the country," Iglesias said.

Gee, how does it happen that the NYT reports on huge incidents of voter registration rolls being purged yet no Justice Dept. investigation even as minor charges of voter fraud are maliciously made by Republicans who know fully well that ACORN is required by law to turn in every single application it receives and that it flags all questionable ones??? Could it have anything to do with who controls the Justice Dept.???? Yet righties here will probably not even read this interview by a fired U.S. Attorney who has first hand knowledge of the politicization of the attorneys for voter suppression purposes.
I lose respect for righties who won't even confront the evidence that contradicts their talking point opinions.

DANNI SAID "ACORN"!

Don't you get tired of being wrong about everything?

No Rethug goon squads this time in Ohio.

It is amazing now that the voter fraud shoe may be on the demotards foot, they drag out this guy again. This guy was told to investigate voter fraud, so far it is his word against Justice..As for ACORN, They are just as bad as those people who "helped" Mugabe steal his election. I am waiting for the lefties to excuse way this Florida Democrat who toke Foley's place. And it seems the dem leadership knew..Deja Vu?

So dan, I guess you think the right is behind ACORN?

HILLBILLYJIHAD:

ACORN's 2006 Keynote Speaker:

John McCain

On topic: It will be great to have a Justice Dept. that actually values the Constitution and justice under Obama.

HAHA

He wasn't a key note speaker for ACORN, Look again, It was an event for the McCain-Kenendy bill for immigration reform and many groups joined and ACORN happened to be there. So stop exaggerating libs. We will see how he "values" the constitution, I have been cleaning all my firearms waiting for them to show up to take them, Maybe you will come try to take it..Boy won't that be fun

Well-hillbilly-if someone comes for your guns and you put up a fight-they probably will pry them from your cold, dead, hands.

That they will!!! I have been all over the world and this is the worlds last great hope, And if Libs want to make it like every other place, It would be worth dying to keep it as close to it's roots as possible. I know you libs find it hard to believe anyone could fight for anything except the next hit on a bong..But, ..Hopefully I will get a few before I go out..

There really was voter fraud, but Iglesias thought it would be difficult to prosecute and so he gave an excuse not to move. It might disadvantage the dems and so Iglesias tried to hide under his own rationale.

He is a dyed in the wool democrat. What can you expect?

As YAV pointed out, Iglesias was a Republican appointed by "W".

The problem with in-person voter fraud, for Republicans, is that there really isn't any. Workers for ACORN have submitted ridiculous voter registrations, but it most cases it is ACORN that has turned them in for prosecution because they are committing fraud upon ACORN.

The myth that hordes of minorities are committing voter fraud at the polls is wholly unsubstantiated, but I understand it plays well to those who wish to understand why their candidate is losing.

It wasn't real in Florida? Oh, good. I'll let Buffalo_Bob know so he can cross that off the list.

He was not appinted by 'W'. Unlike Clinton who fired all the Reps upon taking office, 'W' magnanimously allowed Iglesias to stay on, a carry-over from Clinton.

Can we have Niceville or Horace back?
This idiot is boring my cows.

At this point of being too close to Nov 4, never ever trust the polls spun by liberal media. Never trust!

Remember in 2004, Kerry was ahead in Ohio by 8 points by day and lost to Bush by evening.

Horace was goatman, but have not heard from goat in quite some time.

Newsbuster said that the dems needed more time on Novemebr 4 --- to bring over the dead votes.

He was appointed by President George W. Bush as the United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico in August 2001 and confirmed by the U.S. Senate in October 2001.

Oh please.

From The Candyman.
And it's Really Great Shit, MS Presky!!

There are investigations going on in 13 states. Don't be surprised if that number rises. Bush worked with Democrats in Texas, and he believed he could in Washington. He was stupid! He has many Democrats in his administration... all of them doing what they can to destroy his administration and the country. That is how we got the loser at the CIA.

If you could name an actual case of in-person voter fraud that involved more than a random act, you would have done so.(What the lunatic Buffalo Bob has to do with this, only you know)

OK, I was inaccurate on Iglesias' appointment, but right on on his poor performance. I would fire him too for negligence on his part.

Yeah, that's the ticket! It's all a plot by Democrats to make Republicans look like the complete failures that they have demonstrated themselves to be. (And I suppose that's also why "W" awarded Tenet the Presidential Medal of Freedom?... P A T H E T I C response, Burt. )

The challenge goes to you, then. Name a case of actual systematic in-person voter fraud committed by the hordes of poor brown people who are stealing elections away from real Americans.

Due to Iglesias' failure to do what, exactly?

ACORN registering a 7 year old as 27. Thats fraud.

TakeitEZ-
Are you gonna be proudly inaccurate again? ('cause I'm not sure if your persona can take another hit)

""Horace was goatman"

No, no way is Goaman obnoxious as Horace.

TakeitEZ-
You didn't answer my question about Iglesias.

As far as your ACORN response, I asked you about VOTER fraud, not about workers for ACORN committing REGISTRATION fraud against ACORN.

"Horace was goatman"

I am quite certain that is not correct.

While I believe Goatman to be a disgusting trool most of the time at least He doesn't pretend to have a Son in the Marines in Iraq and then not two weeks later declares He has a Son that is a Marine going to Iraq. Goatman is in no way shape or form Horace. Not by a Long shot.

Larry

Iglesias sat on a federal corruption case and dragged his feet to indict --- he said he felt 'pressured'. Well, efficiency demands pressure at times.

Poor performance. The firing is legit.

ACORN registering a 7 year old as 27. Thats fraud.

I asked you about voter fraud. Do you understand the difference?

Iglesias sat on a federal corruption case and dragged his feet to indict --- he said he felt 'pressured'. Well, efficiency demands pressure at times.

What case was that?

TakeitEZ-
If you could only name a case that establishes that the poor and minorities are voting fraudulently with any statistical frequency above 0%, I'd be on your side.

So why don't you do that?

Voter fraud? Why, there could be plenty ACORN registered fraud that could mail in as absentee.

TakeitEZ-
Moreover, why doesn't Rush do that? Why doesn't Hannity do that? Why doesn't Palin/McCain do that? Why, ultimately, are YOU incapable of doing that?

Voter fraud? Why, there could be plenty ACORN registered fraud that could mail in as absentee.

The Monkees COULD fly out my ass singing an upbeat song....

Simple: they are not ACORN!

Name a case where that's happened. While you're at it -- the last time you moved from one district to another did you notify the previous district that you were no longer eligible to vote from your previous address?

Well then, by your standard, you have engaged in voter fraud. You are, in fact, PROOF of voter fraud.

I have yet to see any substancial evidence that there is any voter fraud going on but have seen circumstancial evidence to the republicans trying to prevent people from being able to vote.

What is really interesting is these neoliberal republican posters who support any kind of voter suppression that favor their cause.

Real American of them.

Rtards is so sneaky.

They take the relatively few cases of fraudulent registration (who rarely if ever translate into actual voter fraud) describe it as voter fraud and use the issue to shut down a group who primarily is there to try and encourage people to register to vote.

With an emphasis on the poor and minorities.

Which allows the Rtards to continue their practise of caging in which legitimate voter's votes are stricken w/o the ir knowledge or, obviously, consent.

By the millions.

Two of the sleazy oppo workers who practised this deception last election were rewarded quite magnanimously.

Monica Goodling by becoming the unqualifeied Yes biatch to Alberto Gonzales (Bush's unqualified yes biatch and former AG).

Tim Griffin with a gig as USA.

Iglesias who refused to practise these undemocratic deceptions gets shit-canned fer his efforts to retain the political neutrality of his gig.

And then Rtards like Takeyermeds show up in blogworld armed with their latest broken crayon of a talking point whining about ACORN.

Seriously, you can't make shit like this up.

Poor performance. The firing is legit.

No, firing Bush and Cheney and tossing them into jail fer the rest of theoir miserable days would be legit.

Firing Iglesias fer not bowing to political pressure to abuse his office was bullshit.

Deal with it.

Be Well.

Arguing with Tacky is like beating yer head into a brick wall.

It does no good wotsoever but it feels kinda good when it stops.

Face it, he's thicker than the proverbial brick that one.

He isn't the first nor will he be the last partisan tool to set foot through the doors of Drudge.

Tacky just makes me thankful I am who I am.

Look at the alternative!

The Catholic priests actually have a clue.
Having visited The Vatican, I can attest that they are assholes regarding photography.

Have you seen Spike Lee's movie?

Miracle is the first thing I've seen since Apocalypto that I wanted to watch again immediately.

BTW

"went and saw"

Is French your first language?

While I'm at it, the Mormons were the biggest assholes.

The xtians, moslems and jews were just stupid.

The Catholic priests won any intellectual argument.

Goatman mentioned Copernicus, but it was Galileo who closed the loop.

I get it --- liberals hate dissent. They just want everybody to agree with them: or be insulted to no end.

I'm glad at the end of the day I can rest well for having not insulted others like liberals do. I have seen some samplings of what liberals said about Sarah Palin and am glad she has the maturity to consider them as childish.

And about Bush.... well, I won't get started....

The truck stop guys were sincere ("Jesus like." - Maher)

Actually they were kinda cool.

Spud thought it was...

"More like Christ than like Christians" ~Maher.

Well, except fer the fat fuck who left with his ginormous panties in a knot.

The Catholic priests actually have a clue.

Luffed that priest Mahr talked to after getting kicked out of the Vatican.

Basically telling him that all the crap they taught him in Catchism was now considered WRONG.

Spud took 12 years of that shite and now it's all WRONG?

Thanx fer nuthin', RCC!!

The Creation museum and the Florida Jebusland Freak Show were disturbing on a couple of levels.

BTW

"went and saw"

Is French your first language?

Spud's all about the folksy charm and the abuse of colloquialism and slang and such.

The original draft of that read "went and seen"

Basically the real reason Spud is so pissed at Scary Failin is cos she's stealing Spud's schtick!

Course, Spud is mostly pretending and Scary really is dumb all over.

And more than a little ugly on the side.

Be Well.

News reports have Mickey Mouse registering to vote in Florida. David Iglesias must be angry that he was pressured to remove Goofy and Speedy Gonzalez from the voter lists in New Mexico. There are about 17 states in which ACORN is involved in fraudulent registration. If Barack Obama wins the election, he will be the first U.S. President to be elected to office by a majority of Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Daisy, Louie, Huey, Scrooge, and Dick Tracy. Is there a silver lining in this fiasco? Well, at least Donald Duck took part, since his name was mentioned by the commander of the dozen (Lee Marvin) in the movie, The Dirty Dozen. Maybe Hollywood will make another movie after the election, The Dirty Voter Registrants. There are plenty of Hollywood personalities that would be perfect for such a film. Surely, if invited, Hugo Chavez can play their commander.

"Spud took 12 years of that shite and now it's all WRONG?"

Must resurface.

I read the KJV at 7 and I'm still laughing.

TWELVE YEARS?

Must resurface.

~Zat

The fine art of resurfacing.

TWELVE YEARS?

Bit of a long story really.

On the plus side towards the end Spud got to go on retreats in which Spud got to argue with priests about the contradictions and absurdities of modern Catholicism in the daytime and then later on that night would sneak out to smoke dope and go bang me GF.

That were woycha call Win/Win.

Got into a blazing row on the last one of them things and quit the whole shebang cold turkey.

Ah good times, good times.

Be Well.

Last week, the three-judge panel of the 6th Circuit had sided with Brunner, but the full panel sided with the GOP and U.S. District Judge George C. Smith in Columbus after hearing an appeal. Smith had ordered Brunner to develop a way to verify voter registration information and make it available to local election boards.

The federal appeals court ruled Tuesday that the current system "is essentially useless not unlike asking for a drink of water and being given access to a fire hose at full volume and will do nothing to address the anti-fraud objective."

"News reports have Mickey Mouse registering to vote in Florida."

Er....either post a link showing where Mickey Mouse was actually allowed to register or STFU. An application filled out by some nut is not a registration, it is only a registration after the Registrar of Elections verifies the information about the prospective voter and puts that person on the rolls. ACORN is bound by law to turn in all applications for registration and tries its best to flag all suspicious applications.

"Yes, your character flaw of accusing me of being proof of voter fraud --- when you know diddly about me in real life."

Your support for Sarah Palin provides all the information anyone could ever need about you but you are just too stupid to know it.
America is laughing at Sarah Palin and all of her supporters.
Tina Fay's charicature of her is too close to reality to ever seriously consider her for such a high office. Tina Fay herself would be more equipped to be VP that that ignorant woman from Alaska.

"News reports have Mickey Mouse registering to vote in Florida."

Mickey Mouse isn't real.
Please keep it to yourself.
