Republicans, Don't Waste Your Vote on McCain!

www.lp.org

To be sure, Senator Barack Obama is certainly to the left of Senator John McCain; however, it's not a stretch to say that the real John McCain has more in common with Barack Obama than he does with his own party. In fact, McCain frequently drew the ire of his party for many of his supposed "maverick" votes in the Senate.

His legislative masterpiece, the McCain-Feingold Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002, is generally regarded as one of the most egregious attack on free speech in modern history. Yet, McCain brags about his close relationship with Senator Feingold, as well as the likes of Senator Ted Kennedy and Joseph Lieberman.

[...]

Republicans, coming to realize the true folly of their choice, try to excuse a vote for McCain by comparing the damage McCain will do to that of an Obama presidency. They will say, "McCain isn't great, but Obama is a socialist." Even when faced with a viable alternative, such as Bob Barr, who better represents the fiscal conservative/limited government philosophy that once used to define the Republican Party, Republicans choose instead to abandon principle for the sake of preserving whatever hollow illusion of capitalism that managed to escape eight years of the Bush administration.

[...]

... an Obama presidency would not usher in a new era of government regulationit would simply be the continuation of a trend started with his predecessor. Republicans who are fearful of an Obama presidency and his alleged "socialism" are either ignorant, or in denial, of the vast expansion of federal power under President George Bush.

[...]

So what are Republicans to do, faced with two choices that so clearly represent the antithesis of fiscal disciple and limited government?

[...]

In 2008, there is only one logical choice for fiscal conservative and champions of the free market: Bob Barr and the Libertarian Party. A vote for Bob Barr is not only one placed for a proven capitalist, fiscal warrior and enemy of big government, but it also sends a message to the Republican Party that cannot be ignored.

McCain will not win, and a vote for him is one wasted. McCain will bring no change from the last eight years, and will only continue the trend of bigger government and higher spending. His "reformer" rhetoric is as hollow as his campaign.

The Libertarian Party will not play spoiler to the Republican's presidential aspirations this year, for there is nothing to spoil. McCain will lose because Republicans chose to support someone who better represented the fiscal values of forgotten GOP heroes like Barry Goldwater. So long as the GOP continues to run people who fail to inspire the base of the Republican Party, they will lose elections, as more and more disenchanted Republicans will drift to the Libertarian Party.

Are you referring to Bob Barr?

Wayne Allyn Root (WAR).

I wish that what is happening in the financial area with regards to the government involvement isn't the beginning(read-middle) of the end. I have recently (with others) written of the mammoth amounts of money being spent by the admin. to "straighten out the mess in the financial sector". Money we don't have, and may never be able to get. Due to so many factors like the energy money that is disproportionately high to the mortgage then the as yet untouched 54trillion plus area of the stock market derivatives.(forgot real name-brain fade).

My scary conclusion? We, as the country the was,are history. What is next and what form that it will take I have no idea. But the money can't be thought up out of nowhere forever. There has to be and will be a change. The freedoms of the constitution and any other "papers" like it are soon to be gone.

As I said in an earlier post, "Double up your seat belts because it's going to get bumpy".

I don't think I have ever written truer words.

exposed...but not really, we already knew

www.americanthinker.com

I see Commononsense can't play by the rules either.

Imagine: It is the very early morning of November 5, 2008. Despite all the predictions and polls, John McCain and Barack Obama are locked in an extremely close race for President of the United States. McCain made a furious comeback over the previous 3 weeks following the last debate where Obama fumbled several answers while looking tired.

McCain's momentum propelled him back into the race and in a furious last minute charge that involved spending more than $25 million in combined campaign and Republican National Committee ad money that last weekend surged to within just a few points of Obama by Election Day.

Now, at 6:00 AM the following day, the race hangs on the results in just one state; Ohio.
McCain leads by nearly 50,000 votes but suddenly, Ohio's Democratic Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner announces that several thousand McCain absentee ballots have been disqualified while additional thousands of votes in Cuyahoga County were "discovered" to have not been counted. After several more hours of confusion -- which included the discovery of more uncounted votes in heavily Democratic counties by the Secretary of State -- McCain's lead is gone and Obama is declared the winner of Ohio and the election.

Of course, this scenario is not credible, is it? No Secretary of State would act so brazenly, right?

Meet Jennifer Brunner, Ohio's real life Secretary of State, whose actions in the lead up to this election have been so shamefully partisan -- violating both federal and state law in the process -- that it is doubtful any result on Election Day from Ohio is going to be accepted as credible.

Coupled with the outrageously illegal registration activity of ACORN and the shockingly illegal actions of the Obama campaign itself and what you have is an effort to not only "count every vote" but also steal as many votes as will be necessary for Obama to win the state on Election Day.

Strong stuff. But here's former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell and Ken Klukowski writing in the New York Post:

A perfect example is Ohio. Last Monday the Ohio Supreme Court, in a 4-3 decision, interpreted Ohio law to allow for people to register to vote and cast an absentee ballot on the same day.

(As the three dissenters noted, this directly contradicts Ohio's Constitution, which requires that a person register to vote 30 days in advance of actually casting that vote. But the Ohio Supreme Court is the last word on Ohio state law.)

So now the Obama campaign is using buses to take tens of thousands of people to go register and cast same-day votes. Some media reports say that the Obama camp hopes to get hundreds of thousands of votes this way.

Secretary Brunner, incredibly, got around the provision that one had to be registered 30 days before being able to vote with the following bit of Orwellian doublespeak.

The first thing she did was issue an advisory opinion allowing people to register and vote on the same day, during the "overlap" between the beginning of early voting (35 days out) and the end of registration (30 days out). This was a reversal of the 2006 precedent. Republicans asked how someone could register and vote on the same day when Ohio statute says that you have to be registered 30 days before voting. She answered that when you vote by no-fault absentee you aren't voting. Your vote occurs on election day when it is counted, not on the day you cast it.

Dayton links to a conservative student organization site -- Palestra -- that has been following this early voting in Ohio. Correspondent Shelby Holiday's revelations are pretty shocking:

One of the biggest issues? These voters didn't need to show ID or proof of residency in order to cast their ballot.

We witnessed dozens of homeless people being driven to the polls, and none of them had to prove that they were Ohio residents. In fact, one man I spoke with was about to hop on a Greyhound bus to go back to Chicago.

We have been trying for a week now to get a comment from the Secretary of State to see how she plans on verifying the residency and identification of all these early voters. Despite numerous phone calls and emails, we have yet to be granted even just a ten minute interview.

Who I did speak with was the Director of the Franklin County Board of Elections. When I asked him what would prevent the homeless man from voting in Illinois just weeks after he cast a ballot in Ohio, he told me that their voter checks are "just county-to-county, we do not do state by state."

One "voter" reportedly said he was voting for Obama because of his "thug thizzle." This was just before he boarded a Greyhound bus back to Chicago.

In addition to this invitation to fraud invented by Brunnner, she also -- once again in violation of state law -- prevented Republicans from monitoring this early voting.

Dayton again:

The second thing she did was to issue an advisory opinion advising county election officials that Ohio law does not require that partisan election observers be allowed to observe registration and voting. This is contrary to the practice on election day and a reversal of the 2006 precedent. Two of the largest counties, Montgomery (containing Dayton) and Franklin (containing Columbus), did not allow Republican election observers to enter the polling place. Media, however, were allowed.

Liberals especially cheered this ruling, believing that GOP election monitors "intimidate" minorities and young people in order to keep them from voting. Given the problems with out of state voters and other irregularities that occurred during this 6 day "Golden" period where people can register and vote on the same day, anyone halfway concerned with free and fair elections just might have welcomed election monitors in order to prevent obvious fraud. But Democrats do not appear to care very much about the "fair" part in elections and instead wish to be "free" to violate the law with impunity.

Another insult to the integrity of our election system was Brunner's attempt to prevent thousands of McCain absentee ballots from being counted.

Dayton again:

Brunner also tried to throw out absentee ballot applications sent out by the McCain campaign because the campaign added an extra check-box to the application. This time, the GOP won in court. Clearly Brunner was not protecting everyone's right to vote. If that was her interest, she would have applied the same lax standards to the McCain campaign's applications that she applies to absentee voting.

I'm fairly certain BLT and Skizziks are the same person. Two people can't fuck up posts that badly.

The Republicans took that one to court and prevailed. Thank the Lord for small favors. And it appeared very briefly that Republicans had won a stunning court victory on Thursday when a US District Judge ruled that Brunner must verify the registrations by checking them against the motor vehicle and social security databases. She was also ordered to share the information on how to verify registrations with Ohio's 88 county registrars.

But a federal appeals court struck down the district judge's ruling:

Brunner argued that it would take two to three days to create the necessary computer programs, and that nothing in the Help America Vote Act required her to do what the district court ordered. The appeals court agreed in a split decision.

"With less than a month until the election, and less than two weeks until the beginning of counting absentee ballots, the secretary cannot be required to undertake the extensive reprogramming and other changes to the election mechanics without complete disruption of the electoral process in Ohio," the majority said in its opinion. "The irreparable harm to the voting public caused by the district court's order is equally clear."

No word on the "irreparable harm" done to the integrity of the election process by Brunner, Obama, and the rest of the Democrats in Ohio.

Then, of course, there are the vastly more entertaining antics of ACORN in Ohio. One must give credit where credit is due. ACORN should win some kind of award for its spectacular creativity in finding new ways to game the system and flood it with false, forged, and illegal voter registration applications.

First, it is important to recall that the Obama campaign funneled more than $800,000 to ACORN and then tried to hide it by designating it as payment to "Citizens Services, Inc." for work such as $310,000 for "Stage, Sound, and Lighting." Michelle Malkin looked deeper into this fraud and found some startling facts:

For your information: The New Orleans building that houses CSI also houses multiple chapters of ACORN and the SEIU- as well as the 527 group Communities Voting Together.

And for your information: A tipster points to shady business by CSI -detected by Maryland Democrat Al Wynn, of all people. His team, which filed an FEC complaint over the matter, linked several suspicious outfits used by his primary opponent to one address: 1024 Elysian Fields in New Orleans. That's the address of CSI and ACORN.

Because you flagged his posts like you have done to so many others here.

As we've seen in Ohio, the Obama campaign apparently bussed in people to register and vote illegally during Ohio's early voting period. The close connection between the Obama campaign and ACORN begs the question of whether activities like this coupled with ACORN's registration shenanigans are a coordinated effort to set the stage on election day for the most massive fraud in the history of the United States - fraud that would make any 19th century election where votes were bought and sold look on the up and up.

Some of the outrageous actions of ACORN in Ohio were detailed in this Cleveland Plain Dealer article:

Yesterday two Ohio voters came forth and claimed that although they had made it clear they were already registered to vote, ACORN canvassers encouraged them to sign up several times. One of those was Christopher Barkley of Cleveland, who estimates that he registered to vote "10 to 15" times after ACORN relentlessly pursued him.

"I kept getting approached by folks who asked me to register," Barkley said. "They'd ask me if I was registered. I'd say yes, and they'd ask me to do it [register] again. Some of them were getting paid to collect names. That was their sob story, and I bought it," he said.

The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections has thus far subpoenaed at least three people as part of a wider inquiry into potential voter fraud by ACORN. The community organization looks to register low-income voters, that tend to overwhelmingly vote Democratic.

Lateala Goins, who was subpoeaned along with Barkley and others, said, "You can tell them you're registered as many times as you want - they do not care. They will follow you to the buses, they will follow you home, it does not matter."

Also subpoenaed was Freddie Johnson, who filled out voter registration cards a total of 72 times over the course of 18 months.

The ACORN spokesman in Ohio insists "that his group has collected 100,000 voter registration cards, and only about 50 were questionable." How this is possible when one poor guy was harassed to sign up 72 by times by ACORN makes one wonder what other lies and frauds the far left Democratic partisan group is capable of.

There is much more. And the sad fact is nobody -- not ACORN (who wouldn't care anyway), Ohio election officials at every level, Republicans, non-partisan observers -- knows just how many false, forged, or illegal registrations were dumped into Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner's lap. No one knows how many early voters voted illegally. No one knows how many Republicans were discouraged from voting by absentee ballot thanks to Brunner's original ruling on the matter. No one knows the extent of cooperation between the Obama campaign and ACORN in Ohio. And no one knows if any of this will affect the outcome of Ohio's presidential election.

There are other states where ACORN and the Democrats have been playing fast and loose with registration and early voting. Over the next weeks and until the election, American Thinker will look at many of these states and detail the attempts to hijack the democratic process in service to Barack Obama's presidential ambitions.

No doubt we will hear much from authorities in the coming weeks who finally appear to be aroused to the threat ACORN poses to the integrity of the election and are carrying out numerous investigations in at least 11 states across the country.

now all you demos scoffing indignantly, imagine if this were a right wing group and republican officials

Time Magazine Covers Up Obama's Infanticide Lie
Posted by: Amanda Carpenter at 11:52 AM
Time Magazine reporter Michael Scherer cranked out a doozy of an apology for Barack Obama's support of infanticide with a healthy dose of smear against John McCain and Sarah Palin today.

His article attempts to piece together Obama's record on the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, which has been largely obfuscated by Obama's own staff who have repeatedly distorted his position on the legislation.

For Townhall Magazine I wrote a lengthy piece describing Obama's out and out lies about his support of BAIPA. It is available for the first time on Townhall.com HERE.

My piece details how recently discovered documents from the Illinois state archives prove Barack Obama has lied about his opposition as an Illinois state senator to legislation requiring health officials to provide care to babies who survived abortion.

Obama has repeatedly claimed he would have voted for Illinois' version of the BAIPA had it included language to protect abortion rights guaranteed by Roe v. Wade, as the federal version of the bill did, which sailed through the U.S. Senate 98-0. Contrary to what Obama has said, forgotten records from the Illinois Senate archives show Obama did vote against a BAIPA bill that included such a neutrality clause virtually identical to the federal bill.

In Scherer's piece, titled "How Valid is Palin's Abortion Attack on Obama," Scherer says "without any clear context" Palin has "seemed to suggest that Obama supported a form of infanticide" by using words "carefully chosen for maximum effect, without employing any outright falsehoods" on the campaign trail and in a radio interview with Laura Ingraham.

In reality, Palin was quite explicit when she discussed Obama's record in Johnstown, Pennsylvania last week.

She said:

Senator Obama has voted against bills to end partial-birth abortion. In the Illinois Senate, a bipartisan majority passed legislation against that practice. Senator Obama opposed that bill. He voted against it in committee, and voted 'present' on the Senate floorMost troubling, as a state senator, Barack Obama wouldn't even stand up for the rights of infants born alive during an abortion. These infants often babies with special needs are simply left to die.In 2002, Congress unanimously passed a federal law to require medical care for those babies who survive an abortion. They're living, breathing babies, but Senator Obama describes them as "pre-viable." This merciful law was called the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. Illinois had a version of the same law. Obama voted against it."
All of Palin's statements are accurate. On the Ingraham program Palin specifically attacked Obama for these votes adding, "I think if more Americans could understand how absolutely extreme that position is there would be a heckuva lot more outrage than we've already seen."

Scherer, however, believes Palin is deliberately distorting Obama's record and makes the same charge, using even the same words, against McCain. Oddly enough, in the very next sentence Scherer admits the charges are true.

"Like Palin's statements last week, McCain's radio address was carefully written to avoid outright falsehoods, while effectively misleading voters about the background of Obama's votes," Scherer writes. "It is true that Obama voted against a state bill that had language similar to a federal law."

It's very odd to me Scherer concludes McCain and Palin are the ones "misleading" voters about Obama's record on abortion. If anything, Obama's the one who has clearly misled voters, which is why I titled my piece "Obama's Infanticide Lie." Unlike the title of his piece, mine didn't end in a question mark.

You think Rcade gets annoyed with the posts requesting that he explain why some douche is suspended?

Sometimes he explains but my answer would be "If it were any of your business (douche that got banned) would have told you..."

Chrysler Killed My Uncle on September 22nd.

My Uncle was killed in an aluminum die casting machine owned and operated by Chrysler Corporation whose safety features had been disabled.

When they got to the machine and opened it up to find my uncle's remains, they looked over the whole machine and discovered that someone had put a glove over the sensor that was supposed to see if the door was open, rendering it useless (such that it always thought the door was closed). No one knows where this glove came from. Some of his coworkers said that management had removed the glove before Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) arrived.

Many things about the situation remain a mystery, and will probably never be known. Two things, however, are certain. First, there's no way Kelley knew that glove was there, or he never would have gone inside the machine. Second, that glove would never have been there if Chrysler replaced the faulty sensors as soon as workers in the plant reported the problems.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 5,840 people were killed on the job in 2006. That's 16 people a day. If there was a gang murdering 16 people a day, even for a few days, that would be headline news around the country, as was 9-11. But this group of corporate killers goes on killing, day after day, year after year.

EXCERPTED FROM By DEREK WRIGHT @ COUNTERPUNCH

Anyone else notice that the day Obama announces his ecomic recovery plan the DOW increases almost 1,000 points, and the day McCain announces his the DOW declines?

BOGUS VOTER BOOTED AMID PROBE OF ACORN
4,000 OF LEFT-WING GROUP'S SIGN-UPS ARE SHADY

Investigators probing ACORN have learned that an Ohio man registered to vote several times and cast a bogus ballot with a fake address, officials said yesterday, as they revealed that nearly 4,000 registration applications supplied by the left-leaning activist group were suspect.

The vote of Darnell Nash, one of four people subpoenaed in a Cuyahoga County probe of ACORN's voter-registration activities, was canceled and his case was turned over to local prosecutors and law enforcement, Board of Elections officials said yesterday.

Nash had registered to vote repeatedly from an address that belonged to a legitimately registered voter, officials said during a hearing at which the subpoenaed voters were to testify.

Board officials had contacted Nash this summer, questioned his address and told him to stop repeat registering.

But still, he breezed into Ohio election offices - the state allows early voting for president - reregistered with a fake address and cast a paper ballot, officials said.

"He came in on 9/30 and Mr. Nash again registered to vote at [someone else's] address, and he cast a ballot," said board official Jane Platten.

Nash did not turn up for the hearing.

The Post reported last week on the Cleveland-area probe and the subpoenas, which were sent out to four people - including two voters who said they were hounded by ACORN workers to register over and over, even when they warned they'd already done so.

It's the latest issue in the probe of ACORN's registering voters in Ohio, one of at least nine states where officials are investigating similar reports of phony sign-ups by the group.

At the same time, officials said, some 5 percent, or 3,650, of the 73,000 total registration cards turned in by ACORN in the Cleveland area from its Project Vote initiative to sign up low-income voters were "questionable," Platten said.

There were "egregious acts of registering multiple times," said Platten. "The extent of it is beyond the resources of this board."

Nash's case and three others were turned over to authorities yesterday, said Ryan Miday, a spokesman for prosecutor Bill Masson.

"We will consider presenting it to a grand jury," Miday said.

A member of the board said if necessary, the FBI or federal prosecutors could be brought in for assistance.

Still, members of the bipartisan board downplayed any voter fraud.

And Platten insisted officials with ACORN have offered "any and all" help in probing the questionable activities. Katy Gall, the Ohio state director for ACORN, said her group is cooperating fully with the investigation.

She added that her group has fired anyone who was found soliciting duplicate registrations.

ACORN, whose political arm has endorsed Democratic nominee Barack Obama, has signed up more than 1.3 million voters for this cycle.

ACORN adviser Scott Levenson said, "If one of the 13,000 [people] we hired is potentially a bad apple in the bunch, we encourage the authorities to prosecute, as appropriate, anyone that did the wrong thing. We discipline [and] we fire workers who [abuse their position] . . . We encourage prosecutors to follow suit."

He also denied suggestions that the group pays canvassers by the number of names they sign up, and that they have quotas.

Also yesterday:

* Two of the four subpoenaed voters, Freddie Johnson and Christopher Barkley, met privately with sheriff's deputies and described what they'd told The Post about being hounded by ACORN workers. Barkley testified at the hearing that some of the registration cards listing his name weren't filled out by him.

Which brings us to Mr. Obama, who got his start as a Chicago "community organizer" at Acorn's side. In 1992 he led voter registration efforts as the director of Project Vote, which included Acorn. This past November, he lauded Acorn's leaders for being "smack dab in the middle" of that effort. Mr. Obama also served as a lawyer for Acorn in 1995, in a case against Illinois to increase access to the polls.

During his tenure on the board of Chicago's Woods Fund, that body funneled more than $200,000 to Acorn. More recently, the Obama campaign paid $832,000 to an Acorn affiliate. The campaign initially told the Federal Election Commission this money was for "staging, sound, lighting."

It later admitted the cash was to get out the vote.

The Obama campaign is now distancing itself from Acorn, claiming Mr. Obama never organized with it and has nothing to do with illegal voter registration. Yet it's disingenuous to channel cash into an operation with a history of fraud and then claim you're shocked to discover reports of fraud. As with Rev. Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers, Mr. Obama was happy to associate with Acorn when it suited his purposes. But now that he's on the brink of the Presidency, he wants to disavow his ties.

The Justice Department needs to treat these fraud reports as something larger than a few local violators. The question is whether Acorn is systematically subverting U.S. election law -- on the taxpayer's dime.

Scooter why don't you just start a thread rather than monopolizing the nooner?

If Obama gives 95% a tax cut and lets Bush's tax cut expire, will we all be paying more than we do now? He never says how big his tax cut be.

KBM check out this website:

www.electiontaxes.com

It will give you an estimate of your taxes under Obama and an estimate of your taxes under McCain.

ahh dont you like all the negative/factual reports on obamacorn?

too bad 95% of americans dont pay taxes

BOOOOOOOOOOOO

too bad 95% of americans dont pay taxes

prove it.

ahh dont you like all the negative/factual reports on obamacorn?

I just don't want you spamming the nooner when you could easily start a thread.

Here's some video of McCain palling around with those fraudsters over at ACORN.

marcambinder.theatlantic.com

Nobody reads the loooong posts, Scooter.

Start a thread. It's easy.

"Nobody reads the loooong posts, Scooter. "

Scooter has the Johnson disease, and is just as likely to have his posts read.

In fact, Rcade should create a "Johnson" flag for overly verbose novelettes posing as posts.

What's the character limit on a post, anyway?

Whatever it is, it should be cut in half.

I think the concept is to post an excerpt of an article that conveys its essence, and then provide the link for others to read the entire article.

Some folks haven't grasped that concept it seems.

Of course, Johnson's tomes can't actually be linked to anything of this earth.

A place to discuss the stories that aren't making news, ask questions, complain bitterly about this site and its members, or just screw around. The only rule: Be nice or be funny.

NOPE, nothing here about how long a post can be.

ACORN, ACORN, ACORN....This is the latest attack by the RACIST GROUP, called the Republican party. Acorn job is to get people to VOTE, up to this point there have been no proof of any election fraud, but FOX NEWS AN THE REPUBLICANS, would have you believe that this is happening it is not.....

Out of the 1,300,000 Americans signed up to be new voters there has been a few incidents maybe 1/10 of 1% an LADIES AND GENTLEMEN IT WAS ACORN THAT BROUGHT THIS TO THE ELECTIONS BOARDS IN A NUMBER OF STATES........I know this does not hit the talking points from Fox an the others but again it was Acorn that brought this to the attention to the elections boards across the Country....

What Fox News an The Conservative Right want is for only Conservatives especially WHITE ones to register to vote. They Repubs tried to do this in 2004 but when Bush won they shut it down, if it was true then they owe it to the American people, to show what they got not just Half Truths......Of course if not for half truths Fox News would be out of business.....

What Fox News an The Conservative Right want is for only Conservatives especially WHITE ones to register to vote.

Actually it is written just like that in their mission statement.

:-(

Well, diverting the sheep worked for the Rethuglicans so far.

I will work until my dying day to limit the speech of others that don't agree with me. I'll whine and cry to have them banned, insist they leave or shorten the length of what they may post.

That's How I Roll,

I AM as always,

NULLandVOID (aka Billy'O'Crap'O')

P.S. Hugo-keep shutting down TV stations that give a voice to people that don't agree with you bro'.

Rcade why is ataxpayer banned ?

www.drudge.com

It's a suspension, though, not a ban.

Wow! Obama's going to give 95% a tax break. Am I the only one that calls tax breaks for anyone irresponsible? We have deficits that stagger the imagination and need more not less money.

This country cannot exist with the kind of deficits that are being made. If no consideration of this is made by either candidate, they are irresponsible in the extreme. How the hell can a serious candidate for the highest office not allow for this huge debt? Cutting income isn't the way to pay off the almost unpayable debt we are now saddled with.

Obama--McCain how will you make even small payment without any money in the treasury? I'll wait for the answer.....

Keith,

Sit back....relax. McCain and Obama will be along soon with more smoke to blow by all of us. Some will believe it. More likely, more on this blog will believe Obama's BS. The balance will believe McCain's BS.

Add 1

Taxes are for cutting, at least verbally by politicians(sorry). Is there any fiscally responsible way to do so and reduce the debt? Stop spending and start paying or we will end up in the shitter. Don't like that way of saying it? Where else does a bankrupt country end up? We are currently adding nearly a trillion a week and no end in sight. In fact more need for huge payouts keep appearing.

Just why can't the USA go the way of so many other countries. No money and huge debts isn't just hysterical talk it is here.

Why was Bani banned?

This for one ...

curious how even Bani understood he was walking over the line when he posted it.

It seems Bani believes as long as he posts just the "links" to his favorite raving Jew bash sites, that his hands are clean and he gets a free pass -

Sorry Bani, but you aren't as clever as you think you are.

The bad news is Mr Jones was suspended for 4 games. He isn't allowed to drink in public.

The good news is Dallas traded for Roy Williams today.

Pacman, Tony and Jessica can spend 4 weeks of quality time together.

Here is the the actual extent of Sarah Palin's diminished intellect, although hardly surprised, that she is developmentally challenged.

Her 83 full scale Wechsler I.Q. reported when she was 18-years-old places her in a range described at that time as Dull Normal and, in fact, 83 was just slightly above the range labeled Borderline Retarded (70- 80 I.Q.).

Her SAT scores were also in the expected range, thus serving to confirm her I.Q: Mid-30s Percentiles with 50 per centile being average.

Careful analysis of her resume cited above reveals similar deficiencies in most every area of her life; 2.2 high school grade average, dropping out of college 5 times before finally receiving a degree after six years from the fifth college she attended, consulting with Kenyan witch doctors, failed mayorality of Wasilla, erratic beliefs regarding the earth being but 6000 years old and Jesus co-existing with dinosaurs, etc.m etc., etc.

The fact John McCain was so instantly captivated by her undoubtedly speaks to his having graduated 894th of 899 in his class and later having " lost " 5 aircraft he was piloting during his naval aviation career.

Since LA has been discussed a bit ...

"If Los Angeles is not the one authentic rectum of civilization, then I am no anatomist. Any time you want to go out again and burn it down, count me in."
-H. L. Mencken

"And by the way, I've about had it with this 'greatest generation' malarkey. You people have one stock market crash in 1929, and it takes you a dozen years to go get a job. Then you wait until Germany and Japan have conquered half the world before it occurs to you to get involved in World War II. After that you get surprised by a million Red Chinese in Korea. Where do you put a million Red Chinese so they'll be a surprise? You spend the entire 1950s watching Lawrence Welk and designing tail fins. You come up with the idea for Vietnam. Thanks. And you elect Richard Nixon. The hell with you."

-P. J. O'Rourke

"These days a successful business depends not on an enormous accumulation of capital but on an enormous accumulation of - if I properly understand what Charles Schwab has been telling me - bullshit."
-P. J. O'Rourke

"One of the most serious problems in planning against American doctrine is that the Americans do not read their manuals nor do they feel any obligations to follow their doctrine."
--- from a Russian document

"This film is apparently meaningless, but if it has any meaning it is doubtless objectionable."
--- British Board of Film Censors, on banning Cocteau's "The Seashell and the Clergyman" in 1929.

I really like this one:
"Being on the tightrope is living; everything else is waiting."
--- Karl Wallenda

Zat-We don't always see things the same way but we are sure getting closer. As far as the "ultimate" anything, we do waste more than the rest of humanities history.

As far as waiting for the BS of politicians(sorry), we have to but it won't help. So far none have demonstrated any ability to deal with the mess left by many presidencies. We will sit and wait for he other "shoe" to drop. Then another and another....

"Mid-30s Percentiles"

Fascinating.
I never got below 99.9 until I took the Physics GRE(97th).

McCain campaign plays second fiddle to a corpse.

If you're running for President of the United States, you depend on your advisers to let you know when things aren't going very well in the campaign, particularly during the final couple of weeks prior to election day.

On Monday, John McCain was campaigning in the Philadelphia suburbs. His Montgomery County campaign staff was holding a press conference at the FOP Hall in Conshohoken, in advance of his appearance at Montgomery Community College. Here's what happened:

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. [Montgomery County GOP commissioner] Bruce Castor was making small talk with a few Fraternal Order of Police officials yesterday as they waited for reporters to arrive for a McCain campaign news conference. By the scheduled hour, one television cameraman had shown up; no local reporters.

"There's a dead body in Juniata Park," a McCain staffer reported. "That's what some people are covering."

Finishing second to a corpse for media attention was not quite the result the campaign might have hoped for on a day when polls depicted a double-digit deficit for the GOP ticket in a state they've heavily targeted

See you in November, rtards!

"CBS) Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama is entering the third and final presidential debate Wednesday with a wide lead over Republican rival John McCain nationally, a new CBS News/New York Times poll shows.

The Obama-Biden ticket now leads the McCain-Palin ticket 53 percent to 39 percent among likely voters, a 14-point margin. One week ago, prior to the Town Hall debate that uncommitted voters saw as a win for Obama, that margin was just three points. "

MURPHY -

Remember when you asked me a couple weeks ago if I had gotten my voting materials yet and at that time I told you I hadn't received anything? Well, I've received the materials and my absentee ballot for the 2008 election and mailed in my ballot last week.

Here are my votes on the propositions from having studied them. I voted for NO tax increases, no "feel good" let drug dealers out of prison early, no stupid "subway to the sea" and all the rest of the costly garbage that's put our state almost into bankruptcy. Anything that would have added on to my property tax costs got a big, fat "NO" vote. A number of these propositions are worded rather deceptively and you have to read inbetween the lines. I voted "slash and burn."

While we are night and day different on certain political issues, we are alike in being socially conservative and on some other stuff so since you asked, here's how I voted on the California 2008 propositions on the ballot if you're interested --

Proposition No.

1 - NO
2 - YES
3.- NO
4. - YES
5 - NO
6 - NO
7. - NO
8. - YES
9. - NO
10. NO
11 - YES
12. -YES
(I always vote to give our military veterans anything they want.)

Where's all the Palin fans to defend Screechy Sarah!

Sarah has more executive experience than Obama. More folks still think McCain is ready to lead.

"Sarah has more executive experience than Obama. "

Presiding over the Moose Festival doesn't really count.

"Sarah has more executive experience than Obama. "

I wonder is your convoluted standard of meansure.

Obama has run charity organizations bigger than the state of alaska.
