Around 170 guests at a wedding banquet in northern China had to be rushed to hospital after powdered rust remover was added to their food instead of salt.

Someone thought the chef wanted 'Lust Remover' so the bride and groom could make it through the party without getting too sexual witih each other. Instead, they misunderstood and thought they said "Rust..."

Maybe if someone had said, "saltpeter" instead the mixup would never have happened.

Weddings are a natural Lust Remover.

Lust is a Marriage Remover

Not if You Marry right then the lust is a Marriage sealer and well as a Marriage is a lust enhancer. If You Marry the right Man/Woman and You lust after them to Your dying days that is the mark of a true happy Marriage.

Oh and the best Rust Remover for Cast Iron cookware is a thick plastic tub/Bucket and Coca Cola Classic. Guaranteed to remove all of the rust without harsh chemicals.

Oh, you crack me up.

if I found a leprechaun, I could get him to go hit my ex-wife's lawyer in the head with his Shillelagh.

I take it You married the wrong woman huh?? That sucks.

Larry

The "wrong woman" doesn't suck.

As for rust on cast iron, I just put the skillets in the self-cleaning oven; Spotless.

Then I re-oil them.

Sure She sucks. She sucks the money out of the guys wallet into Her own. The wrong Woman does a sucketh.

Try both wallets.

Oh Myyyyyyy what a name Zatoichi.

Larry

She's quite real, Larry.

When my ex and I split after 21+ years, we carefully avoided her since we wanted our kids to inherit our stuff.

My lawyer said, "$300/hr unless it's Becky Beaver, then it's $350/hr."

Remind Me never get Married and move to Austin. She sounds like a shark to Me.

Larry

Becky can eat you for breakfast.

She's a good friend of my ex.

Fortunately for our kids that was after the divorce.

If you ever wonder how Chinese food can be so similar from restaurant to restaurant it's because the huge cans of foods are shipped from PRC to all parts of the world. And one has to wonder about food processed in China.

Now I love my rice and soy and veggies, but I am always a bit suspect about canned food processed in factories. More suspect when those factories are in a communist country named China. (But so as not to seem a great fan of pure, unfettered, caveat emptor capitalism, remember the USA' had a huge problem with food processors under its unfettered brand of capitalism from the 1880s to 1920s. (see NYT's reprise on the last 100 years of food safety www.nytimes.com or read Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle" www.nytimes.com)

So, for the deregulators out there, dedicated civil servants can be worth their weight in gold in fostering a safer and more reliable society, whereas, corrupt de-regulators can make a very finely tuned system come tumbling down.)

Rust Remover Sickens 170 Wedding Guests

It was only after hearing some of the older guests complaining about their own "rusty pipes" that the rust remover was added...

Maybe they should quit storing the food in the same pantry with the industrial chemicals.

Some day they will learn that their government isn't out for protecting the people, they are for protecting the business's.

Oops, that kind of sounds like our government too.

My the federal reserve is powerful.

I have used a dry chemical for removing rust from irrigation water. Kinda looks like rock salt. Smells like hydrochloric acid. Sodium Chloride is table salt. Sodium Hypo Cloride is Chlorine. Diluted can purify water. Concentrated could literally eat you from the inside out. Most dry chemicals are concentrated. The thing is as soon as this stuff was added to anything other than pure water there should have been a fairly strong odor.
