Sarah Palin yesterday shrugged off the findings of a state inquiry that she violated the state's ethics law in seeking her former brother-in-law's firing as a state trooper.

Oh, I'm sure she'll get out of it with just a wink and a nod.

"If you read the report, you will see there was nothing unlawful... or unethical about replacing a cabinet member."
Sarah Palin

From the report
"Mr. Branchflower reached the conclusion that Governor Palin abused her power with respect to Trooper Mike Wooten."

We've had enough truthiness. Those of you defending her actions in this case have no interest in holding our elected officials to the standards necessary to make our system work.

Go away.

Gov. Palin has her own, unique, definition of "ethical". However, you'd have to love her a lot-or just be damned stupid-not to see her for what she is here-----A bully.

I say it's time for a change. We need someone in the most powerful office on earth who can be counted on to use her power to settle petty personal grievances, just as any "joe six pack" or rabid "hockey mom" would.

Oh, wait. Maybe not.

I saw Palin "respond" to a reporter's questions on this subject today---She "answered" as if something else entirely had been addressed to her---Much like she did in the debate.

No way I want to put up with four years of this transparent intellectual and moral slumming.

"We need someone in the most powerful office on earth who can be counted on to use her power to settle petty personal grievances"

Like Bush - Saddam?

Didn't mean to be so obvious, but there it is.

At least She will have something to do come November 5th.

Larry

Somewhere in my memory hole there is an incident with Mr. Clinton and the Arkansas state police or somesuch. Not that this makes the whole thing right, but it is pot calling kettle black...

"The pot is calling the kettle black...."

You're right, it doesn't make this whole thing right.

ding
we have a winner
congratulations Shaun

Another uniter, you betcha ! With a wink rather than a smirk ?

Speaking of smirk, Bush has been forgetting to do that lately.

Bush did this sort of thing all the time----Look at a black-and-white set of facts and simply shrugged his shoulders and said it means only what I want it to mean.

Tired of it, am I. About time to turn away from the dark side of the Force.

re: Somewhere in my memory hole there is an incident with Mr. Clinton and the Arkansas state police or somesuch.

Thank you for being so specific. Was this about the drug-running or the body trail?

PaLyin's blatant lies regarding Troopergate called out.

How can even He smirk? Surely even W realizes that "history" will judge him harshly. His legacy will be one of failure, deceit, and stupidity.

Someone described Palin as being like that very mean girl most people get to meet in 8th Grade---The one to who lies about making out with your boyfriend in order to avenge some slight, real or imagined.

"For the reasons explained in section IV of this report, I find that Governor Sarah Palin abused her power..." - Legislative Report, Finding Number One.

"I'm thankful that the report has shown that there was no illegal or unethical activity there in my choice to replace our commissioner," - Dispatches from an Alternate Reality, Number Eighty Seven.

Oh, I'm sure she'll get out of it with just a wink and a nod.

and a blowjob

Between this, her tax returns being faulty, problems with her per diem, and spending tax money on church, she's toast and has been before she go nominated.

Wat to vet Mr. McCaine!

This is the end result of Mr "Impulsive" making choices.
Fuck Senator McStupidbastardhandpuppettothe
samefucktardsasdumbass.
And takesituptheass should consider having a soul transplant.
If he can buy one for $1.98....

"Wailin' failin'" can be grateful I'm not an Alaska resident-I'd be filing all kinds of lawsuits goin' after her unethical, illegal, cheating, lying, hate filled ass.

The finding also acknowledged her authority to hire and fire.

=-The finding also acknowledged her authority to hire and fire.

Within ethical guidelines, which she ignored and violated.

Corky, they said she had authority to let the man go.

Ethics? Well, let's see; a State Trooper tasers a ten year old kid, drinks in his cruiser and threatens to kill the father of the Governor. The trooper admitted it.

And the Trooper's boss won't fire this guy.

Doesn't anyone think something's wrong with THOSE ethics?

if she had just let it go without further action because of her personal relationship with the trooper and he had ended up tazing another kid and he died, killed someone while driving under the influence in his cruiser, or made good on a future death threat, her judgement would have been questioned there.

Bottom line? Damned if she did and damned if she didn't. She eered on the side of caution because the man did not and does not (he is still a trooper) deserve to keep his job.

She was found guilty of ethics violations--deal with reality and stop deflecting like a 13 year old.

Like I keep tellin' ya - Dickless Cheney.

"Dickless Cheney."

She's not a person who accepts personal responsibility when found to have done something wrong. From reading Alaska papers she let her husband Todd palin run wild making phone calls every day to public officals trying to get this trooper fired. He was out-of-line and did not have appropriate authoity to be shaking down state employees.

What bitch does?

Mr. Clinton and the Arkansas state police

~ "they did it too" flag

Oh is Bubba running for office this year? Well get back to us when he does.

she let her husband Todd palin run wild

#30 | Posted by JoeLabey

That to me is one of the scariest things about her. She seems to allow Todd an awful lot of power and leeway to do want he wants.

There is the religious faithful for everyone, we can clearly see what king of example they live by.

I just wish we could see her at some point turn her other cheek.

That to me is one of the scariest things about her. She seems to allow Todd an awful lot of power and leeway to do want he wants.

Exactly.

The next thing you know, he will draft a health care agenda, write some books and then run for the US Senate (in a state he has never lived in) and then..........the motherfucker might run for PRESIDENT!!!

It's funny that Palin's apologists keep blabbering about what a scumbag this trooper is. Whether or not the trooper was a scumbag has nothing to do with the ethical issue at the heart of the probe. This has been explained to them many times but willful ignorance or outright stupidity seems to prevent them from getting it.

Instead of posting anything about how scummy this trooper was, why not just post "This issue is over my head."? Because that is what you are telling us by consantly referring to it.

The October surprise is over and the zing is lost --- Sarah won!

Expert writer analyses that Obama's 'Dreams from My Father' was written with help from Ayers. (Worldnetdaily).

You just moved into the 'TADOWE' category

Nutbag yes but still missing that irresistible easily provoked Rage.

The October surprise is over and the zing is lost --- Sarah won!
~TAKITEZ

LOL the Zing sure was lost. You got that right.

Children, for todays class, we are going to be talking about ethics, responsibility, logic and reasoning skills. We could make this a 1 yr class but we have boiled it down to one statement.

Do The Opposite of What Takeashitski does and you'll be fine.

"Expert writer analyses that Obama's 'Dreams from My Father' was written with help from Ayers. (Worldnetdaily)."

TAKEITEZ are you too stupid to recognize that this is pure, unadulterated bull shit????

He thinks if he says it often enough people will give it credibility, Danni.

Remember how Bush/Cheney did this before the Iraq war?

So lets see now, what happened?
The AK Democrats spent about $100,000 of AK taxpayer money and the result?
The commission came up with the SAME recommendation that Gov Sarah Palin gave them for FREE...
That the matter is something that has to be ruled upon by the Personnel Commission!
Gee, why take free advice when you can funnel $100,000 into your Democrat Lawyer buddy's bank account at the expense of the AK taxpayer?

By the way, there is NO WAY that this charge can be PROVEN unless the examiners can read minds!

Not one piece of paper, one memo, one e-mail or one verbal conversation witnessed by ANYONE states that she fired this guy for not firing her ex-brother-in-law.

Even the guy who was fired didn't say that this was his reason for being fired until the Obamarobots got to him and convinced him to say so. Check the news reports from WHEN IT HAPPENED and see if you can find a SINGLE ONE that says he was fired for not dumping Trooper Wooten.

IN FACT he wasn't FIRED, he was offered the position of Executive Director of the state Alcohol Control Board. He turned the position DOWN.
Would you offer a person another high position in the State Government as punishment for not firing your ex-brother-in-law? Hardly.

Why did he wait until a week after his so-called "firing" before he began saying it was because he wouldn't fire Wooten? If he felt the firing was for that reason, why didn't he say so immediately?

In fact on August 28 (almost TWO months after he left the government), in an interview with Anchorage Daily News, Monegan said, "For the record, no one ever said fire Wooten. Not the governor. Not Todd. Not any of the other staff.

So how does the governor NOT asking him to fire Wooten constitute pressure to fire him?

Yeah Shy Guy is was just a dispute about the budget.
Can you say "Palin is a liar"????

To answer your post #42 Danni:
No, Takitez is too stupid to know when he talks out his ass. It's his kind of bullshit that gives us Christians a bad name.

Danni,

No, but I can say DANNI is a liar.

Of course, if you knew how to read you might actually learn something.
But we don't have to worry about that ever happening, do we?

He was removed for more than just disputes about budget, but since you can't read, you wouldn't know that.

He was also removed because the Governor wanted to take the State Police agency in a different direction than it was currently heading in.

THAT is why he wasn't FIRED. That is why he was offered a high position in a different State agency, but he refused the position. She wanted him to work more on the alcohol problems and how they cause crime. But he refused that position for the same reason she was removing him from the Public Safety Position. Because he didn't care about public safety. He cared about who knows what?

She said he wasn't a "team player" and his refusal of the Executive Directorship proved SHE WAS RIGHT.

But you keep up your left wing fantasies, they fit well with the Obama fairy tales.

"he refused that position for the same reason she was removing him from the Public Safety Position. Because he didn't care about public safety"

Well, as long as you're sticking to proven facts and avoiding hyperbole....

[/snark]

Danforth,
"Well, as long as you're sticking to proven facts and avoiding hyperbole...."

What, have I stepped over the line and done something only left wingers are allowed to do?

Sorry, I didn't realize that only left wingers were allowed to use hyperbole... I will have to be more carefull next time...

I also like the way you have learned from Rush Limbaugh how to pick and choose the portions of quotes to use that make me look foolish.
It just wouldn't do to include the next sentences that say his actions prove her contention that he wasn't a "team player".
That isn't speculation, since a team player plays the position the coach assigns to him/her.
Particularly when that position is not any lower than the previous one. After all Executive Director even sounds more important than just Director.

While I do admit that my statement that he doesn't care about Public Safety is not supported or not supported by the evidence, it does call into question in my mind just what his committment really was.
Perhaps he wanted to be on the police end of the action and not the enforcement of liquor laws? I can't read his mind any more than the morons who held this circus hearing can read Sarah's mind.

But since they have made their minds up without any evidence, why can't I make accusations with the same amount of evicence they had? You apparently accept their decision based upon no evidence, so why can't you accept my decision based upon no evidence? After all, you probably know me far more than you know any of them unless you actually live in AK.

Or is your acceptance of their decision just based upon your dislike or hatred of Sarah Palin? After all, it can't be based upon the evidence since there is no evidence.

It's his kind of bullshit that gives us Christians a bad name.

As someone that loves to bash neo-con christians, I would like to say 'Thanks Sam' for saying that. I count some chritians and some muslims as friends and this religious devisiveness has got to go.

I admit, it will take away my largest source of comedy material but it's a scarifice I am willing to make to see some sense come from a christian.

Palin need not fight this --- she already won!

"Palin need not fight this --- she already won!"

Like I presume she has already won the nation's vice presidency. herm

Yes, she has.

The liberal media has been digging all the dirt about McCain/Palin and every nice things about Obama --- thinking it will dishearten and fool people to give up on McCain.

But word is spreading that many will not only vote against Obama but against the liberal media.

There will be a November surprise.

"word is spreading"

Crazier than Niceville flag.

EZ et al must remember that in "hate for America" expressed by any of the four contending families, the Palins win first place hands down. Both expressed hate for the lower 48 in their secessionist activities. herm
