This is what is called a wish-list for defense spending. The next President will not be cutting any existing defenses by not going along with this budget. It is hawkish right wing elements in the pentagon that is laying in wait to paint Barack Obama as a President who wishes to cut our nations defenses when the truth is a President is in charge of not only the defense but the economey, healthcare and education responsibilities and needs to act on their own adgenda of which is most presssing.

wonder if they'll send him back to his country of origin? indonesia. that would mean a reelection...

Ya know, "nanc," you're a lying, stupid, disgusting jerk.

"Ya know, "nanc," you're a lying, stupid, disgusting jerk."

And what's worse, those are her good points!

The lying in wait are the judases (neocons) that will continue to push their agenda of protecting Israel. Their agenda will be to put the screws to the Dems after the dems control the House, Congress and the WH. Surely these Dems that for the most part will win their elections by default will fall victim to the pressures of AIPAC and other "special interest" groups. The economy will surely sink, education will get worse and health care will become third world-like.

Except Obama/Biden are all about pre-emptive war...take a look at what Biden said in the VP debate. He said their administration will respect other countries' sovereignty unless they decide they shouldn't. Furthermore, they continue to perpetuate the lie that Russia attacked Georgia when we know that simply is not true. There is no indication that the future administration, which supports pre-emptive war and has a hard-on for Pakistan, will change course in terms of military policy or funding.

Unfortunately that's true. The defense budget needs to be cut substantially, but will rise regardless of who wins.

John McCain should feel right at home, then.

His last duty station in the Navy was in the Senate Liaison office.

His accomplishment there was, behind the scenes, to get Senate support for an aircraft carrier that Carter and his Secretary of the Navy were opposed to on cost.

Ike warned us.

We will go to war in Iran in part for Israel (who controls our foreign policy) and in part for the Neocons' agenda.

But a big portion of the reason we will attack Iran is because Iran now wants to have their oil be paid for in Euros instead of the US dollar. Bush and the Neocons would never allow that to happen as it would dip too deeply into the personal and corporate profits of the U.S. uberrich.

You all remember what happened when Saddam Hussein announced Iraq would be changing from the dollar over to the Euro for its oil sales.

Iran can look forward to the same as Iraq got -- shock and awe -- only this time add in a few nukes.

I fear for the lives of our military boys over in Iraq if we should nuke Iran. To think there would not be huge retribution against them for taking out millions of Iran's population is being a blind fool. Why would we chance such a danger to the lives of 160,000 our own military by nuking the country next to Iraq is beyond belief.

CC- Great point about the switch from USD to Euros. The fact that we took North Korea off our Terrorist list is very interesting and Im still trying to read the tea leaves on this one. The politicians on the DEM side I would be very worried about are Rahm Emanuel and Chuck Schumer when it comes down to loyalties over Israel rather than the US. Emanuel is a hard core Zionist and Schumer is, well, a Brooklyn Jew. Same as Wolfowitz and Pearl. Schumer just does a great job of remaining ambigious to the Israeli question. So no matter if you're Dem or Repub, I for one am strongly independent, the next 4 years should be a lot of fun.

Ike warned us.

He sure did.

Until the latest of our world conflicts, the United States had no armaments industry. American makers of plowshares could, with time and as required, make swords as well. But now we can no longer risk emergency improvisation of national defense; we have been compelled to create a permanent armaments industry of vast proportions. Added to this, three and a half million men and women are directly engaged in the defense establishment. We annually spend on military security more than the net income of all United States corporations.

This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence -- economic, political, even spiritual -- is felt in every city, every State house, every office of the Federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society.

In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the militaryindustrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.

Besides the fact that Flops was born in Kenya and should be deported for illegally entering the country, we still have the race card!

First we have "nanc" claiming Indonesia and now we have fwthom claiming Kenya.

Try Hawaii, morons.

Lets say you look out in your wood pile and see someone who was hiding there start to run away. So you run after him and catch him by the toe and ask him what's his name. He says, "Barack Obama." Does that mean you would vote for the MF?

we still have the race card!

In that I have no doubt.

Obama's own website says he was a Kenyan citizen.

Pentagon to shakedown next president.

I'm sure this is without precedent. (yawn)

Obama's own website says he was a Kenyan citizen.

True but misleading.

Due to his father's nationality and a technicality of Empire, Obama had the ability to claim dual citizenship but never asked for or recieved a Kenyan passport and his right to do so expired in 1982.

This was prolly news to Obama after the fact.

When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom's dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.s children.

Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4,1982."

Meh, at least Brack was born in the US, unlike "Panamanian Candidate" John McCain.

If McCain got elected his first act in office would be to make straw hats MANDATORY!

Nobody wants to see THAT, do they?

Be Well.

What did I say that was inaccurate?

We now spend on the military as much as ALL THE REST of the nations in the world put together.

And that's not enough. It will never be enough. Because, without our voting on it, the US has mutated into an empire one of whose main functions is to act as a client state of Israel.

To that end, constant pressure will be kept on states with Islamic majorities.

Whether you like this or not you WILL pay for it.

Iraqibukkake, you're a moron. Have someone with more brain cells than "W", read it to you again. Dipshit!

funny you should mention that, zat!

how'z it feel playing into the hands of the puppetmasters?

Excellent! Fits nicely into my JCP (Job Continuation Plan).
