Please stop calling these "death watch" posts. I know other people do it, and they're referring to the death of a campaign rather than a person, but it's too easily misunderstood.

Larry.............me and you have been out here too long and you should know better. The famous Hillary Clintton death watch on Slate.com in the spring was very popular. I would never be talking about John McCain's physical death. This is in regard only to his campaign and I will be writing about this until Nov 3rd.

McCain should answer questions about his role in the Forrestal fire. There are reports that he "wet started" the engine on his aircraft as a prank, and accidently dropped two bombs from his plane as he jumped out and ran away while other sailors rushed past him with fire extinguishers and hoses--only to be vaporized seconds later in the explosion of those bombs. 133 men died that day.

That McCain is this close to the Presidency after a life of whoring and self absorption is very frightening.

This man is no war hero. He was allowed to attend Annapolis because of his father and grandfather--not because he earned the placement. He wrecked three planes and had to be rescued again by his father to keep from being kicked out of the military. When he came back---he was till the same as he was when he went in. Other POWS that served with him say the same thing. This is the "hero" that should have been "swift boated"---only the truth would have been necessary for McCains star to be tarnished. He should not receive any votes.

It's not about McSame and The Airhead any more, but neither is it about Barack and Joe. It's about a failed philosophy that has led America into the economic crapper. Irretrievably? We'll soon see. herm
