Too bad.
Ask your parents if you can stay longer next time, arschloch.

What we went through under Carter (I had a mortgage with a sixteen and 7/8% interest rate) is nothing compared to what is happening under Bush.

So what are you really advocating?

You might want to read Zat's post and rethink.

"The only thing Carter should be slamming is a bullet into the side of his head."

Gotta hate those presidents with principles.

Thank god for Raygun and Iran-Contra.

I thought that Carter was as irrelvant as Bill Clinton is supposed to be to the democrats?

Congratulations on your parole.
Now all you have to do is stop bein' such a douchebag.
Maybe this time you can stay out of prison.

Now THAT'S funny!

Frank, I have to confess that your number #13 was funny too! I hope this is a trend toward better comeday.

Jimmy Carter blaming Pres. Bush for the financial crisis? When Carter speaks, you can see his teeth from outer space. His administration had plenty of teeth, but no bite. Carter states, "irresponsible elements in the in the U.S financial system had encouraged banks..." What about Fannie and Freddie and irresponsible elements of his party in Congress, where the whole meltown had it's begining, and has continued snowballing down hill, towards the path of continued financial destruction of the Nation. Fannie and Freddie, the financial lovers of Barney, Todd, & The Echus Assinus (look it up). What a great history that party has. They drove Pres. L. B. Johnson (a great democrat and a great president) out of office. L.B.J. was the last of the great democrats. There has never been another democrat like him. And that party has very few good democrats left. Look what they did to Sen. Lieberman, also a great democrat. That party has become a cartoon. When Carter attempted to obtain his renomination back in those days, Sen. Ted Kennedy and gave some "nice speeches" against Carter. Also, look them up. I remember a cartoon from a newspaper from those years, Ted Kennedy was driving a Cadillac limo, and Billy Carter was riding in the rear. What stood out in that cartoon so much was the fact that Carter was wearing scuba diving gear, but you could still see his teeth thru the mask.

Seems like Laura is getting beat up by everyone but GWB. Everyone is banging on Bush and I'll bet Shrubbie is not one of them.

BO STINKS!

Carter and Volcker did what had to be done with their shock therapy in '79 and '80. Lost an election, but it worked wonders.

Unfortunately, we can't do that again.

See, in 1979, the national debt to GDP ratio was the lowest it had been since the thirties. Plus, tax rates were quite a bit higher.

But, in 2008, we have the highest national debt to GDP ratio since Truman (WWII bonds). And, instead of Truman's 91% top tax rate paying off those debts, we have the lowest tax rates in the last 75 years.

So, we can't let interest rates rise, because if they quadruple, the money we pay to service the national debt quadruples.

In November 1977 I bought a small fishing shack with waterfront and a dock on Lake Travis for $15,000 cash. It was a wonderful place to do math while I was in graduate school in physics.

By the mid-80's it had inflated to six figures and become so crowded and polluted I decided to convert it to tuition at St Stephen's School.

Thanks, suckers.

Life is surfing.

Carter can't say anything, he to will go down as one of the worst in history. Giving the Panama canal away and giving Isreals land away didn't solve anything.

You can blame the Democrats including Carter for this housing mess, they are the ones who passed the Community Reinvestment Act.

Lets make sure everyone gets a home loan even if they can't afford it, what a great idea that was.

Jimmy Carter is one of our nation's best Presidents.

He is DEFINITELY our best ex-President EVER!.
(Do you see Bush Senior building houses?)
Hopefully, Obama's first term will be like Carter's second!

Be Well.

See, the girl in San Diego shot all those kids because she "hated Mondays". Hence the name for the latest nincompoop.

the best thing from the carter years was billy beer.

I love it how all you repubs bash on Jimmy Carter. Maybe not the best president we've ever had, but at least he never tried to intentionally sabatoge this country like Bush and Co. It makes me wonder why you would support George W. Bush. Actually, here's the profile:

White
Racist
Ignorant
Mostly Southern or from the Plains
Inferiority complex
Afraid of the white race become a minority
From Texas
Sadist
Narcissitic
No soul
Self-loathing

Im sure there's a few more characteristics, but that's the gist of it. Basically, you're the worst kind of human that this country represents. I hope you get used to a totally Democratic party representing your best interests because Lord knows the repubs have made your life worse in the last 8 years.

Jimmy Carter presided over the lowest national debt/GDP ratio since WWII.

zfacts.com

here is a poll I found. Top ten worst presidents. This should solve the Carter issue....

1. George W. Bush (79% of voters chose him among their three worst)
2. Richard Nixon (36%)
3. Warren Harding (27%)
4. Ronald Reagan (20%)
5. Jimmy Carter (17%
6. George HW Bush (14%)
7. Bill Clinton (11%)
8. Herbert Hoover (11%)
9. James Buchanan (10%)
10. Lyndon Johnson (6%)

Best presidents .....

1. Abraham Lincoln

"I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts." - Lincoln

2. Franklin Delano Roosevelt

"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." - FDR

3. George Washington

"The nation which indulges towards another a habitual hatred, or an habitual fondness, is in some degree a slave. It is a slave to its animosity or to its affection, either of which is sufficient to lead it astray from its duty and its interest." - Washington

4. Thomas Jefferson

"I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that his justice cannot sleep forever. . . the Almighty has no attribute that can take side with us in such a contest." - Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson, was elected as the third President of America and his decision to execute the Louisiana Purchase, nearly doubled the United States size overnight. Jefferson was known to be a strong state's rights activist who realized the need for consolidating power in the federal government when necessary.

5. Theodore Roosevelt

"No Man is justified in doing evil on the grounds of expedience." - Roosevelt"

6. Andrew Jackson

"It is to be regretted that the rich and powerful too often bend the acts of government to their selfish purposes." - Jackson

The only thing Carter should be slamming is a bullet into the side of his head.

Secret Service time

'Secret Service time'

I pointed that out somewhat earlier.

I don't care who the president is or was or what his or her politics are are were, don't threaten a president's life.

End of discussion.

It was worth repeating

Carter...there is a song by Tool called "The Pot."

Liberalism is so easy because you stand for nothing. Cowards are liberal. They can always push their failures on their past. So that makes their mother and father failures. See....they stand for nothing. Give the keys to the country away. Liberals place no value on freedom and would sacrifice the mechanism that provides them with freedom. March them to the nearest coast line an tell them to swim.

I would rather slam the lenders that loan 130% of what the home is worth! I saw a lot of that!

Geez, you are so stoopid, where do we begin?

Have YOU ever seen Carter building houses? No, you have not, because this assclown only picks up a hammer when the TV cameras are rolling.

Otherwise, he's just being a prick.

"Wow, I saw it on the Tee-Vee, so it must be true!"

Our best EX-president? That's like saying someone is your best EX-wife. She stole your money and your house, but hey, she sends you a birthday card once in a while.

I never understand why Democlowns are so protective of Jimmy Carter. He's got the blood on his hands of 20 million dead. From Ukraine to Palestine to Cuba to North Korea, Carter has caused millions to die.... many through slow, miserable starvation. I thought DemoCraps were sooooo concerned about people.

----------
One death is a tragedy; a million is a statistic.
--Joseph Stalin
----------
Oh, wait, now I understand why Democrats love Carter. He uses the same logic as that other great Socialist: Stalin.

When you're man enough to come back to the United States get back to us.

Until then, enjoy Taiwan. Sorry you couldn't find a job here. Things are just great in America, eh?

The people controlling the world are criminals.

It turns out that Bush's grandfather Prescott conspired to overthrow the Constitution, assassinate FDR, and turn the United States into a Nazi Camp. Here's the July 2007 BBC report.

This video of investigative journalist John Buchanan details the documents discovered at the National Archives and Library of Congress implicating Prescott.

George W Bush quote: "If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator."

John McCain quote: "I've always aspired to be a dictator."

Barack Obama's economic adviser, Austan Goolsbee, is a member of the Skull and Bones Secret Society.

Other members of Skull and Bones include Prescott Bush, Bush Sr, Bush Jr, and John Kerry.

The $700B bailout bill is Unconstitutional.

Both McCain and Obama voted FOR the unconstitutional bailout bill.

Christopher Story, editor and publisher of International Currency Review, explains the $700B bailout was nothing more than on-the-books cash for the criminals' new trading platform.

Quote From Forbes Magazine:
In fact, some of the most basic details, including the $700 billion figure Treasury would use to buy up bad debt, are fuzzy.

"It's not based on any particular data point," a Treasury spokeswoman told Forbes.com Tuesday. "We just wanted to choose a really large number."

Associated Press - Sep 29, 2008 - Fannie, Freddie disclose subpoenas, investigations

Why did Bush Sr call for a New World Order on September 11, 1990?

And what about 9/11? Alaskan magnetometers went BONKERS with every 9/11 "event", including the plane-shaped holes appearing in the towers. This is virtual proof of HAARP.

No one in New York reported the deafening sound of wide-body commercial airliners hitting the towers at full throttle. In 1999, the Washington Post reported on the military's psychological operation hologram project.

Betelg- "Whence"!?!? Who in the Good Lord's creation talks like that!?!? You're way to high brow for me or anybody else on DR.

444 days.......enough said

I just read at MSNBC.com that Bush and Co are going to pull a few hundred billion out of the mortgage bailout funds to buy bank stocks. They said their right to do so is buried in a corner of the 400 page bailout bill.

Excellent.

When I volunteered for Habitat a few years ago, he was out with us the entire time. It was very impressive, especially considering his age.

Who da thought Billy was the smart one...
