"Sen. Obama is the first Democrat I've ever voted for," former Republican Sen. Lincoln Chafee said during a stop in Grand Rapids, Mich., this morning. He criticized John McCain for pandering to the Republican Party's right wing, a strategy he said is dividing the nation and would make it difficult for McCain to govern.

He's kidding, right?
McShameless doesn't give a rat's ass about governing.
He just wants the presidency, and doesn't care how he gets it.
That's why he's unqualified to BE President.
He wants it, not to lead the Country, but, for his own ego.
THAT'S why he's gotten so negative-he's offended that he can't just take what HE believes he's ENTITLED to.....

I SUPPORT OBAMA TO BE PRESIDENT ..OF TEAMSTER UNION...

Former Michigan Gov. William Millikin (R) just endorsed Obama too.

He says he doesn't recognize McCain anymore.

McCain has spent so much of his life kowtowing to the liberals, he mistook them for his friends.

Earth to John: given the choice between a guy who spends most of his time acting liberal, and the real thing, don't be surprised when lefties go with the real thing.

...so the republican rats have seen the tsunami and are jumping from the decks of the A.S.S. McCLame????

Or have they just figured out that all of their attempts to steal Election '08 cannot work mathematically due to the huge influx of new independent and democratic voters nation wide?

3 point lead - you can steal it.

11 point lead - fuggedaboutit!

Better to be on the right side of history than stuck having moose burgers in the United State of Alaska with their newly selected President Palin and her Lt.Gov. Jonny McCain.

Chafee. Hagel. Who is next?

Joe Lieberman is for McCain!

Take THAT Joe Lie-bermann!

Your a laugh riot.

I am impressed by Entertainment Tonight for staying fair and respectful of Sarah Palin.

I despise 'The View' for its blatant partisan attacks (whoopi is a racist, and Bias Behar is intellectually challenged) on Sarah and McCain --- I have also lost my respect for Barbara walters for interfering often when Hasselback tries to make her points across.

i despise you takeitsleazy for everything from your moronic comments here to your lame attempts to infuse religulous into politics. you are retarded.

...He criticized John McCain for pandering to the Republican Party's right wing...

John McCain is a republican, but hardly a conservative and definitely NOT a right-winger himself.

He's pandering alright.

He's pandering to the 'something-for-nothing' crowd.
He pandering to the masses to buy votes; he wants to buy
YOUR (MY) vote with other people's money. Just like a liberal.

Obama is the real thing - the real take from group Z
and redistribute to group X
.

McCain is pissing away his campaign, by impersonating a liberal. This technique
ALWAYS fails. This will bury McCain, I'm afraid.

As I have said before, if Lincoln Chafee had had the courage to disown the Republican party in 2004 or 2005, he would have been re-elected to the Senate as a Democrat or even as an Independent in 2006.

Rhode Island, for heaven's sake, only elected his father because he was one of those nice old-fashioned Republicans who was really a Liberal.

That pretty much sums up our feelings about you: ridiculously funny and bitter.

PhforAmerica.com airs an ad showing Obama mocking the Bible.

"PhforAmerica.com airs an ad showing Obama mocking the Bible."

A typical out-of-context, "make it say what you want it to say" video. Obama is NOT mocking the Bible. What a bunch of crap.

More accurately, instead of mocking, he was misinterpreting the Bible.

But an ad like this has the potential to really hurt Obama. It didn't take much for swift boat to sink Kerrey.

"More accurately, instead of mocking, he was misinterpreting the Bible."

In a few minutes the McCain problem is spelled-out for all to see:

ALERT THE MEDIA: "Obama mocking the Bible"!

Oh, the horror! But, wait, this "impression" is "corrected":

"Obama is NOT mocking the Bible."

IMMEDIATE BACKTRACK: Don't alert the media. Retraction issued.

One hell of a way to run a campaign.

"But an ad like this has the potential to really hurt Obama."

You mean one which even you had to retract? Right.

"It didn't take much for swift boat to sink Kerrey."

You mean Kerry? The candidate who didn't answer the attacks? Hell, even the SBVFT didn't have to backtrack as fast as this:

"More accurately, instead of mocking, he was misinterpreting the Bible."

As Larry says: Do try again.

"...he was misinterpreting the Bible."

Of course, this has never happened before. [/snark]

TSFree, your reasoning has too many holes.....don't get too exercised in the wrong way....

This ad is not being managed by McCain's camp. So no retraction or correction will be issued.

As for me, I simply offered my opinion: I've read Obama's book and I did find him misinterpreting scripture on the passages listed.

"So no retraction or correction will be issued."

You already did. First it was:

PhforAmerica.com airs an ad showing Obama mocking the Bible.

Then your retraction:

More accurately, instead of mocking, he was misinterpreting the Bible.

You're welcome.

I did not arrange the ad and I have no power to retract the ad. Only PhforAmerica.com can retract the ad if it wishes to.

Again, I simply offered my opinion on the ad: that instead of mocking Obama was misinterpreting.

Get it?

"Get it?"

Yeah. Your promotion of an empty, typical out-of-context, "make it say what you want it to say" video mirrors your blasphemous, "I speak for God" proclamations here.

Got it.

I showed honesty by disagreing with the allegation of the ad.

"I showed honesty..."

Well, there's always room for a first.

Glad you finally got it.... whew!!!!

Chafee. Hagel. Who is next?

I'm waiting for Colin Powell to step up. He mentioned something about waiting for the debates, so this time next week, perhaps???

Anyone know who Zell Miller supports???

No?

I'll have to assume he's not going with "that one".

I think what the country is seeing is a major backlash in destructive politics.

Im my opinion being a public servant is just that.
Americans must take more responsability for their vote rather than god, guns and glory.

AFTER you were called on it. Don't take my word for it. Anyone (even YOU!) can scroll through the thread and review it for themselves.

Oh, and it's obvious that YOU do not have the power to retract the PhforAmerica.com ad, unless of course YOU produced it ;-).

It was just CORRECTLY stated that you were retracting YOUR statement about the ad.

So..., let's see some of that honesty BWAHAHAHAHA!

More accurately, instead of mocking, he was misinterpreting the Bible.

It's been misinterpreted for centuries.

" he (Chafee) was one of those nice old-fashioned Republicans who was really a Liberal..."

How many of those are left, anyway. Is there any Republican in any office whom people who care about people can even consider "moderately" on the thinking compassionate side? herm
