Here's the difference between the north and south brand of racism; The north loves the race but hates the individual, the south loves the individual but hates the race.

I was referring to the small sample size in my "welfare" class I teach each weekday morning. Whether or not these students will actually cast their vote remains to be seen, but their general comments were as I'd indicated. I certainly don't discount that. I heard today on one of the conservative afternoon (local) radio shows a pollster who claimed, while they don't really publicize things like this, about 20% of blacks were voting for Obama with no knowledge of the issues, just because he was black. I'd certainly accept that. Although maybe that's just the percentage who will admit it.

I remember from grade school going into a friends' house, and on the wall was the same picture of Jesus we had on our wall, except...he was black. It took me a while, (and maybe my mom explained it to me) but I finally realized everybody wanted to look up to someone who looked like them.

btw...it took me a lot longer to realize his picture was probably closer to the true skin color than mine.

Oohrah, the same can be said about any group of people..including Republicans and Democrats. There was another thread showing a video where republicans at a rally were asked simple questions. Most had no clue why they wouldn't vote Obama. Some even admitted they didn't really know much about Palin but would vote for her anyway. And I'm sure it's the same with Democrats as well.

Your small test sample of black you people doesn't show factual proof that most black people will vote for Obama simply because he is black. It's an assumption at best and look at the first part of that word when trying to prove for fact using assumptions.
