Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

At a panel discussion hosted by the New Yorker, Donna Brazile launched into an impassioned and personal plea for no voter to reject Barack Obama on the basis of his race. "You can vote against him, but don't ever put me in the back of the bus," she said. "At a time when we're in crisis, I want the best, I want the brightest. Let the next 31 days be about ideas, about inspiration, and about strength of character."

"Let the next 31 days be about ideas, about inspiration, and about strength of character and the fact that he's black and so am I."

Fixed.

"Sincerely,
Typical comeback"

You have to admit that articles like this one only support the idea of white people ignoring Obama's race. If the idea of ignoring race is a good one, it should apply to all people.

I agree with Donna. Your welcome, Cynthia Ann McKinney.

good luck with that...

Why in the world would McCain unleash Sarah the Moose Hunting Demon Slayer on us with the Palling around with Terrorists line or he is not like us if they weren't trying to incite racial hatred. If not racial they are sure questioning his patriotism.

Listen to the crowds when they speak of this. They sound like a mob with torches chasing down Frankenstein hisself!

"This is not a man who sees America like you and I see America," she said.

"Our opponent ... is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough, that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country,"

"Kill Him" the crowd shouts... can you imagine if this happened in an Obama speech?

You forget who we are up against if you think that the Rethugs will be reasonable about this election.

The stakes are so high we cannot hardly speak of it.

After all if their man does not win they could end up in court or even jail.

If it was Michael Steele, or as it was Clarence Thomas..people Like Brazille have no problem with 'uncle Tom' or "oreo" of "traitor to her race"..but Now Brazille wants to appeal to the "nobility" of higher thinking..She is absolutely fake..as are all liberals, it is only "moving forward' when it is their agenda

How are we supposed to forget that Flop Ears is black when these MF dems keep bringing it up every five seconds.

"Kill Him" the crowd shouts... can you imagine if this happened in an Obama speech?

Are they telling Sarah to kill John McCain so SHE will be President?

FWTHOM is only voting against Obama because of his ears.

I knew deep down he was black. Thanks to Ms. Brazile for confirming it. Yet another reason not to vote for this poser.

We now see Gov. Sarah Palin and the McCain campaign trying to stir the pot by invoking William Ayers, a 1960s radical who was a major figure in the Weather Underground, a group that bombed the Pentagon and committed other unspeakable acts of terrorism against their own country.

Palin has been hammering home the point on the campaign trail that Obama and Ayers were friends, "palling around" the Windy City, even though the Weather Underground committed these crimes when Obama was just a child. And never mind the fact that Ayers and Obama were involved in a multimillion-dollar education grant that was funded by a right-wing Republican, media magnate Walter Annenberg.
Do you hear any of them castigating this late Republican pillar?
The McCain camp, along with their right-wing media comrades, want to convince you that Obama should not have decided to serve with Ayers, who was named the Citizen of the Year in Chicago in 1987 for his education work, and who is a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Now, if someone was seen as an acceptable figure by business, political and education figures, many of whom support both Democrats and Republicans, should Obama be faulted for sitting on a board with the guy?

If I befriend Osama Bin Laden in 30 years, is it bad form for someone else to question that?

Why does every black lib who has ever gotten in front of a mike either play the race card or pledge their love for Obama?

If I didn't hate black people before this election, I do now...

And screw you assholes, just to be fair I hate old people too.

If I befriend Osama Bin Laden in 30 years, is it bad form for someone else to question that?

Only if you become a Democrat.

If African-Americans vote for Obama because
Obama is an African-American - why is this racist?

(REMEMBER: only European-Americans can be racist.)

Donna Brazile is fighting oppressors & racists - Bully for her!

Be Well.

Chair, I hate old people too, and sick people, and why do poor people always come from the shallow end of the genepool? Have you ever seen the losers who ride the bus becuase they have to?

And I really hate those sick fucks that rape old ladies, that's just wrong, why would you want to pork an old wrinkle bag with saggy tits when there are so many young, fresh, ripe one just asking for it?

Where would Joe and Osama Bin Laden be in 30 years?

On gay cruse?

On a gay cruise?

If I didn't hate black people before this election, I do now...

101 you had REPRESSED FEELINGS! Oooh, nice!

Hyde park?

If I befriend Osama Bin Laden in 30 years, is it bad form for someone else to question that?

I didn't know Obama had befriended Ayers? But getting down to the point of your hypo, it would depend if Bin Laden had made the change for the better like Ayers has done. Hell, even it was a Reagan republican who picked Ayers and Obama to serve on this education board. Obviously Ayers has turned some kind of corner or else republicans wouldn't be touching him with a 10 foot pole.

"it would depend if Bin Laden had made the change for the better like Ayers has done."

No, it wouldn't depend on any of that. Anyone who wanted to use it against me would be free to do so. It is perfectly acceptable to bring up the fact that someone knows, has worked with or is acquainted with a known terrorist, regardless of when that person was a terrorist. If bin laden had made a "change for the better," people would still have a right to be concerned about my friendship with him given the fact that bin laden was part of a plot to murder innocent Americans. When someone is running for president, their friends are scrutinized because they frequently give cabinet positions to their friends.

Ayers wasn't his friend dummy. They both were picked by a Republican to serve on the same charity board.

Good luck with that.

Palin has been hammering home the point on the campaign trail that Obama and Ayers were friends, "palling around" the Windy City, even though the Weather Underground committed these crimes when Obama was just a child. See ya Nov 5

A lot of people in the late 60s had radical ideas about how to protest the Nixon policy in Vietnam, which was causing the death of thousands of "innocent" people.

I don't think Sarah Palin has the slightest idea why this was happening.

Bill Ayers turned himself into another kind of person. I don't think she has the slightest idea how that could happen either.

McCain's choice of Sarah Palin may be his worst and most dangerous choice of all the bad choices he has made in his sad attempt to be President.

I think people whining about blacks voting for Obama are just as bad as the people who claim that any criticism of Obama is racist. Every candidate is supposed to get a bump from their ethnic group or home state. Everyone knows this and the strategy has been used all the time. That is why some candidates try to but a Southerner on their ticket or a religious kook (Palin) or someone from a swing state (Biden). But the minute there's a viable black candidate, some people want to pretend that this type of superficial decision making is unique to blacks. That's just bullshit.

In my opinion, voting for someone based on skin color is no less sophisticated then blindly following a candidate based on what party they are from anyway.

WHOA.WHAO.WHAO...Nixon's policies? That was Kennedy's and Johnson's policy, Nixon was elected in 1968. He tried to finish it by winning it, And the ONE thing you need to ABSOLUTELY remember, was that AFTER the draft was done away with in 1973...THE PROTEST STOPPED...Because as all lefties, they were cowards..Once they were sure they wouldn't have to go...They didn't give a rat's ass about the guys that were there...They went back to their BONG...I hate lefties who rewrite history

When someone is running for president, their friends are scrutinized because they frequently give cabinet positions to their friends.

Again Ayers isn't a friend. Should I be worried that McCain is going to make Charles Keating the director of the SEC or Treasury Secretary?

While I think Obama's racist hate-monger background should be an issue, I wonder how you can stretch allusion to "palling around with terrorists" (and a white domestic terrorist at that) into inciting racial hatred.

Ayers visited Venezuela and was on a platform with President Chavez declaring that education should be used to indoctrinate children in socialist values and steeped in anti-capitalism.

Ayers appointed Obama to administer dispensing some $50 million of the Annenberg Challenge grant intended to better school performance, but alas alack, a review determined that it had accomplished naught in that regard. Some of Ayers projects received funds from this grant. As I recall, the total expenditure was for some $160 million, or so.

You folks are so attuned to "racism" that it permeates your lives, and is a bogeyman, which most often exists only in your imagination.

Is Obama "unpatriotic?" Well Obama as a fellow, who spent 20 years being mentored and receiving guidance from someone with the orientation of "God damn America," the Rev. Wright battlecry, it certainly seems that if Obama had any learning ability, he would have learned to hate America, as well as whites and Jews, of course.

And Obama is a racist favoring "reparations." I suspect that the situations of blacks in this country have been improved by their sojourn here if compared to the plight of Obama's half-brother in Kenya, where he lives in a mud hut with a dirt floor on a dollar a month. If living in Africa is an improvement in the situation of blacks, why didn't Marcus Garvey's movement secure a greater following? "The idea that African Americans should return to Africa was known as the Colonist Movement. Garvey's essential ideas about Africa were stated in an editorial in the Negro World entitled "African Fundamentalism." en.wikipedia.org

Obama's plans seem to be focused on "taking" from some and "giving" to others. It sort of reminds one of the Marxist philosophy, advocating "From each according to his abilities. To each according to his needs." Unfortunately Marx did not understand human motivation and behavior, trying to reduce it to economics, and disregarding other factors that might provide an incentive to people to enhance their own situations.

Is noting the Mrxist nature of Obama's outlook are we "racist," or are we identifying a dangerous person. And if his racial identity contributes to his outlook, that should be noted. Obama is potentially the most dangerous man of this century.

Johnson, I think everybody gets that you believe Obama is an "abomination". It's just that people don't accept your loose-linkage logic and therefore don't agree with you, though I'm sure it plays well with the choir. But don't be discouraged. The betting is that you will have at least 4 years to refine your argument.

The only thing that makes me mad about Obama winning, is there will be NO investigations into Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae or any governement institution, Wall Street will get hammered which is good, But all the "civil servants" and there cronies will be allowed to continue there merry ways

Most of Johnson's posts sound like internal Klan memos.

"I suspect that the situations of blacks in this country have been improved by their sojourn here if compared to the plight of Obama's half-brother in Kenya, where he lives in a mud hut with a dirt floor on a dollar a month."

Most blacks in this country were born here. If you're talking about immigrants than you can say that about anyone. If you are talking about the past and slavery then you're a lunatic.

It has nothing to do with race. I do not agree with Obama's politics. Raising taxes and growing government are not going to help.

What *is* racist is those who want to play the race card when I do not want to support Obama. That is just nuts.

In the end, Obama will win. But in the final analysis it will be because he "was not republican" not because of anything else. Until the financial meltdown, Obama and McCain were neck-and-neck. What pushed the election in Obama's favor in the end was not anything he did or said, it was that he was not "republican".

I would submit that if a Dem were now in office, McCain would be in the lead.

like I said originally "Good Luck with that"

All you have to do is read Johnson's post (if you can) to see the "depth" of the problem.

These folks don't even see the fallacy of their own arguments.

Palin is a pal of Terrorist and so is MCBush. Both are also guilty by association.

palin with her "terrorist" husband who is/was advocating succession and who "spits on the American Flag"..

McCain supported and accepts the support of Oliver North who has supplied weapons to our enemies (who are considered in violation of federal law.

And shall we discuss Bush and his associations with the Bin Laden Family and, yes, even Hitler?

My Friend, 6 degrees of separation!

we can ALL play that game.

We can all play at that ridiculous game.

"Again Ayers isn't a friend."

Both Obama and Ayers were members of the board of an anti-poverty group, the Woods Fund of Chicago, between 1999 and 2002. In addition, Ayers contributed $200 to Obama's re-election fund to the Illinois State Senate in April 2001, as reported here. They lived within a few blocks of each other in the trendy Hyde Park section of Chicago, and moved in the same liberal-progressive circles.
blog.washingtonpost.com

That makes him at the very least an "acquaintance." Again, I would not expect anyone to ignore that sort of relationship if I were running for president, so why should Obama expect kid glove treatment?

Honestly, I got a little biased against Brazile because of her skin color, and had to repent about it later. Privately.

That said, I still go by McCain because I am not comfortable in supporting one who is wildly liberal.

Yes, its the issues.

I was just wondering. . .

Nah, forget it.

"I would submit that if a Dem were now in office, McCain would be in the lead."

If there were some way I could trade eight years of Bush for eight years of some jackass Democrat, knowing full well that McCain takes over next year and not knowing anything else about what Jackass Democrat would do - I'd take that deal in a heartbeat.

There is just no way anyone would have done a worst job that that ignorant and lazy little cock-smoker.

It is kind of funny that the economy is what is finally doing the GOP in when this is the disaster under Bush's watch for which they are least culpable (private citizens are mostly to blame, IMO). But they've been such a shitfest for the last eight years that you can't blame people for wanted anyone without an R after his name at this point.

I was there 4 years ago. Now I refuse to vote for any R's OR D's.

It is kind of funny that the economy is what is finally doing the GOP in when this is the disaster under Bush's watch for which they are least culpable (private citizens are mostly to blame, IMO).

Good point. Irony at it's finest!!

Everytime JOHNSON posts something I attach it to my Bible; Old Testament, New Testament, and the Book of Johnson.

With what does he attach it, I wonder?

I gotta admit that the debate was a yawner of the first water. O'Bama could have put the son of a bitch away with a home run, a Hail Mary, a first round kayo, but for the advice of some politico who must have studied at Karl Rove's feet: "You're leading on points; don't blow it by reminding the old geezer that while he's running against greed and corruption. he IS the party of greed and corruption."

Race will, of course, continue to be a key issue for Repubs. The whole tightie rightie here - you know who you are! - will holler n-i-g-g-e-r with ever increasing volume until Nov. 4, probably turning off as many voters as they land. It's all they have and for that they should be forgiven.

The trouble is that on Nov. 5 they won't leap over the net and say nice game. They are printing their Impeach Obama bumper stickers evwn as we speak. herm

Of course they're going to use race. And every other bit of slime and smear they can think of. It's all they've got left. Palin might just totally lose it and go way too far, McCain will just be snide and unpleasant.

I see I've repeated your post, Herm. I won't be forgiving them.

We're going to lose anyway but I would love to see Yosemite Sam McCain go really fucking nuts just for laughs. Go down smokin Sam!

Google Earthquake McGoon, he was a friend of my old man's.

Yeah, it was Ike's fault. For warning us about the military-industrial complex, Say, I hear he had a sailor named Mc Cain under him on D-Day. You knew McCain later was a POW? I thought not. herm

I have a daughter and son in law there on the faculty. We might know some of the same people.

'98-'00

I was on the Sewanee Parent's Council.

He majored in music and wine; Flunked out after two years. The experience was worth it, though.

We're both pilots. First flew in to campus right after he graduated high school.

That's a rather famous airport in the flight training world. Kirshner is the name.

Afterward he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas State in Geographic Information Systems. He's in grad school at U Denver now.

I will always cherish my time on The Mountain.

Yeah, I used to fly in there in a piper cub, and sometimes in an old ercoupe, met the guy you mention several times but never did go flying with him. I believe his first name was Bill and that he spelled it Kirchner though. I remember reading some of his books studying for my licenses.

My daughter went there on a national merit scholarship and graduated in '92 with a degree in Russian. Her name was Lisa and she ran the little campus FM station. It's a good bet they knew each other.

While there she managed to get tangled up with a goddam yankee mackeralsnapper with a Harvard masters, and follow him back to Princeton to finish up his Phd.

Now Don is a department chair and Lisa is county water commissioner.

The 3 poor dammed little grandkids had 2 sets of horns, 1 for being yankees, and another for being mackeralsnappers, but by the time they showed them to me they had all the horns trimmed off and you can't hardly tell it.

WILLIAM K. KERSHNER was the guy's name.

"WILLIAM K. KERSHNER was the guy's name."

That's it.

I was too lazy to go look it up.

Why is there a race problem, He is no african American. Obama and his bobbleheads keep bringing up the race BS to cover the fact that this piece of lying sub human flesh ir covering up the fact that he is ARAB and in bed with the same ARABS that tried to kill us on 911. DOnna Brassier or whatever she calls her self is just another ACORN SUPPORTER and HATES AMERICA

Clue to Badeye:

Muslim DOES NOT EQUAL Arab.

And Obama isn't even Muslim.

Arabs? I thought they were the original caucasians.
This race thing is so confusing. 1984 came a little late, where white is black, conservative is liberal, where smart is stupid and where welfare is a financial bailout. And all this is caused by Arabs=Muslims=African Americans. Will the real caucasians please stand up?
