Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Tuesday, October 07, 2008

Attacking excessive federal spending has been a hallmark of the McCain-Palin ticket, as the Republican candidates pledge to shrink government. But in the race for the White House, the past apparently is a foreign country. Just as Palin claims to have killed the bridge to nowhere, when it was already dead, McCain voted to fund the bear study that he loves to mock.

How much more of Yawn McLame's hypocrisy can people stand?

This is practically *ahem* unbearable.

Someone alert Stephen Colbert!

Be Well.

"In the 2003 bill that included the bear study, according to FactCheck.org, McCain introduced three amendments to reduce funding for other projects. But he didn't vote to cut the bear study. "

Did he ever say he did not vote for that bill?
No? does the article say he reigned in some of the wasteful spending on that bill? It does?
Oh so you would rather have a guy who is ane of the bad guys when it comes to wasteful spending rather that one who has done alot to curb it. Apparently to you the guy who has done nothing is better then the guy who hasn't done enough. Interesting logic, or lack there of.

Republican campaigns have traditionally used the mantra of "lower taxes and less spending" and used the phrase trickle down economy to describe the way the middle class benfits. The only problem is it never has worked. The less taxes part works and people are hopeful ful that but spending always increases under republican administrations and every 10 years or so in the last 30 we have had recesions that are directly atributable to that. Now we face the bigest economic crises since the great depression and are spending 10,000,000,000
a month in Iraq and Afganistan. This is the 21st century and there different ways to fight wars with the economic wealth the mideast has. We have trained 400,000 Iraqi troops and it is time to give them there country back to win. Saying as Palin has leaving would be like waving a white flag is talking of 20th century mentality and it is easy to see that she still embodies 20th century thinking.

Palin is an idiot and says 100 times an evening "yes John I will say whatever you want me to". She has no moral compass or an original thought in her head. The trouble I have seen in the few interviews she has done is that she trys so hard to bluff her way around the obvious answer, " I don't know". Why would someone feel comfortable with someone playing a shell game to see what button she'll push today.

Slimygaper: Did he ever say he did not vote for that bill?

Umm, ...Logic 101 called.

Yer out of the class.

If he did NOT vote to cut the study he musta voted TO fund the study.

Wot part of that are you having a hard time with?
