NBC has pulled a Saturday Night Live skit from last weekend off Hulu and YouTube that satirized the bailout. One graphic in the skit, which identified George Soros as the "owner" of the Democratic Party and identified mortgage lenders Herb and Marion Sandler in a graphic as "People who should be shot." Blogger Michelle Malkin has a transcript and screen shots of the skit.

Over the weekend, I watched a hilarious, dead-on, and surprisingly honest skit on Saturday Night Live about the craptastic bailout and its Democrat roots. The skit called out Fannie/Freddie and featured Nancy Pelosi dragging out various sob-story "victims" who turned out to be a parade of deadbeats and schemers. I was going to post the video for you tonight, but I can't.

The video has been pulled. Vanished into thin air. (Go here for full transcript and screenshots.)

Where did it go and why?

michellemalkin.com

Anyone who pays any attention to anything that Malkin has to say is an idiot.

Is Michelle hallucinating again?

Try to pull the video up on NBC or youtube, Dave. Even an "idiot" like myself questions why it is unavailable.

Well, my name's not "Dave" but do you mind if I try anyway? Okay, let's give it a whirl. . . You're talking about this SNL skit, readily available on YouTube via at least four different postings:

www.youtube.com
www.youtube.com
www.youtube.com
www.youtube.com

Yes?

So, what's the problem?

You guys on the oh-we're-so-scared-we're-
freakin'-terrified Right really do need to stop whining so much. You'll wake the neighbors.

Nicely done, Doc!! FF!

Hey Doc, did you try the NBC website where the other videos are available?? Any luck there?

I do understand that some bloggers were able to save it to youtube. Will those copies be pulled also?

YAV -

Michelle Malkin is two barnyhards over from where the "Trust but verify" herd congregate, waaaaay over by the "Check very, very carefully" trough.

"Hey Doc, did you try the NBC website where the other videos are available??"

No. You said NBC or YouTube, so I went to the more easily accessed YouTube.

"Any luck there?"

Hey, how about you try it? I don't believe NBC customarilys make the entire SNL show avaiable for replay, but you're always welcome to give it a whirl.

"I do understand that some bloggers were able to save it to youtube."

But didn't you just imply it couldn't be accessed on YouTube?

"Will those copies be pulled also?"

Dunno.

AnAmerica, why don't you check things out. Y'know, do some of the heavy lifting from now on, instead of just believing whatever Michelle Malkin dollops up from her bucket of sludge?

Personally I think the thing was pulled over the line:

"People who should be shot."

Bad taste, bad form, and in an environment where McCain's followers yell out:

McCain: "Who is Barack Obama?"
Crowd: "A terrorist!"

I can't say I blame them.

I'd bet the lawyers went apeshit when they saw that.

BTW, is Malkin for posting the 'Todd Palin incest with his daughters' video from SNL? Or is it a shame they yanked that one for "going too far?"

"You're talking about this SNL skit, readily unavailable on YouTube via at least four different postings:"

There fixed that up for you, to be correct..

SNL withdraws skit?

Were they supposed to keep linking to it ferever?

The opening skit on the Veep debate was the funniest and most right on piece of political satire Spud has seen on SNL since, well ...since ferever really.

Spud did link to it at the time and told folks to watch.

Did not catch the skit that Michelle Malcontent, the self-loathing anchor baby, is bitching about.

She's prolly just pissed at NBC fer not hiring her to be the original Wendy Whiner.

In Michelle's defense she woulda been great at it.

Be Well.

/obligatory

Be Well.

Found It!

Damn those guys are fast! They took it down as soon as I watched it. I did get a download though.

Doc, try your links now. LOL

"Doc, try your links now. LOL"
They don't work now.
But they worked when you were whining that they didn't.
LOL

PS: Ever heard of copyright law?

None of those links work.

"Nicely done" offering more evidence of the video being pulled.

doc - then why don't they remove the rest of them?

There are links from Malkin's site to a couple other sites. One of those allows you to download the WMV file (or at least it did earlier).

"Were they supposed to keep linking to it ferever?"

The funny thing about this, is that if it were some video critical of the right, and it just disappeared, the same DethSpud would be right here going on about brown shirts and the republican reich.

Both left and right make mistakes.

The left admit them, correct them and learn from them.

And pulls mocking videos of them from youtube.

Why in the fuck am I or anyone supposed to care about this?

One of the rapacious couples featured in the skit was Herbert and Marion Sandler (portrayed by Darrell Hammond and Casey Wilson). Unlike the other composite figures, the Sandlers are a real-life couple.

Also lampooned: Left-wing billionaire George Soros.

As Todd Thurman at Heritage notes, the Sandlers are left-wing moguls who built "a mortgage company whose major product was subprime mortgages and they sold it to Wachovia for $24.2 billion in 2006. And what do the Sandlers do when they are not peddling subprime garbage? They are busy writing checks to leftist groups like the Center for American Progress, the American Civil Liberties Union, and Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN). Yes that ACORN."

The Sandlers are seething over the skit. And George Soros must be livid as well. Anyone else smell a legal threat behind the disappearance of the vid?

You're not, but you would if it was a video critical of the right.

NBC frequently pulls SNL footage off YouTube, so that part of this story isn't weird. The unusual part is that they took a political skit off NBC.Com and Hulu.

Apparently whatever SNL is doing is front-page news on a daily basis. Funny part is that nobody even watches the show anymore.

Most people realize that as lame as the Democrats are, they're no where near as crooked, demented and hypocritial as the Rethuglicans.

So there's nothing left for the Rethuglican's to do but steal another election or walk away from the trough.

But first steal another trillion or two. The Democrats are so fucking lame, they'll go along with it. Its going to be a long drought.

For those of you in the "know" the video WAS pulled down yesterday but back today. Did you not see the screen captures of the missing video???

Bump!

Saturday Night Live Nielsen Ratings Up Almost 50%:

tvbythenumbers.com

LA TIMES:

"Update: 'Saturday Night Live' says bailout skit 'didn't meet our standards'"

"...was removed from the program's website because it "didn't meet out standards," a spokesman for the show said Tuesday. An edited version of the skit will be re-posted online soon, the spokesman said."

Well what do you know. And to think many of those here jumped all over the article as being false and full of crap. Sheesh.

Malkin has found the answer. Apparently "it didn't meet their standards". HA!

michellemalkin.com

Well, well, well.

Peter Viles at L.A. Land reports that Saturday Night Live is rewriting its forbidden Soros/Sandler-bashing
bailout skit because it "didn't meet their standards."

Translation: It didn't meet George Soros's and the Sandlers' standards!

The scoop:

A "Saturday Night Live" skit that skewered President Bush, Democrats, homebuyers and subprime lenders for their roles in the mortgage meltdown was removed from the program's website because it "didn't meet out standards," a spokesman for the show said Tuesday. An edited version of the skit will be re-posted online soon, the spokesman said.

The skit, a parody of a C-SPAN news conference, ridiculed subprime borrowers, housing speculators and Herbert and Marion Sandler, the real-life couple who built Golden West Financial into a subprime lending powerhouse and sold it to Wachovia before the subprime collapse. At one point in the skit, the Herb Sandler character says he made $24 billion off the subprime boom. Graphics then appear labeling the Sandlers as "People who should be shot."

"Upon review, we caught certain elements in the sketch that didn't meet our standards," a spokesman for the program said in an E-mail message Tuesday. "We took it down and made some minor changes and it will be back online soon."

Apparently whatever SNL is doing is front-page news on a daily basis. Funny part is that nobody even watches the show anymore.

With the amount of bullshit speak that Joe pulls out of his ass, I am thinking that his turds must resemble alphabet soup or a Scrabble hand.

Hey, on the day or two after the company declared bankruptcy (I think it was about a week and a half ago), the Lehman CEO was punched in the face and knocked unconscious while riding the treadmill in the executive fitness center at the company. By one of his own executives!

If people start shooting these guys, to paraphrase Chris Rock, "I'm not saying these guys should be shot. But I understand."

"Upon review, we caught certain elements in the sketch that didn't meet our standards," a spokesman for the program said in an E-mail message Tuesday. "We took it down and made some minor changes and it will be back online soon."

And if the only changes are the absence of inciting violence, will you admit that you're a little fucking ninny?

Will you stop pissing your pants over a SNL skit?

Will you at least look into getting a fucking life?

Who are you talking to Manypaths, me or Rcade?

"...was removed from the program's website because it "didn't meet out standards," a spokesman for the show said Tuesday.

Which in itself is laughable, given the eggregiously poor crap that the show has chosen to air at times over the past couple of decades. It is newsworthy in itself to hear that show has any standards at all.

You. Whoever was pissing their pants while they started this bullshit thread.

Please answer the questions.

Or are you not done crying about this SNL skit yet?

"Who are you talking to Manypaths, me or Rcade?"

Who knows.

Just try not to stare.

Out here! Have to go teach a class at the college.

BTW, I posted it first and Rcade chose to put it on the front page for the reasons he stated. So I guess you are bitching at the both of us.

Ok fine.

RCADE, your a ninny too!

It's a fucking TV program.

Oh wait, my aunt Mildred just sent me an email regarding this. She has her nickers in a bunch too.

That shut up aunt Mildred too!

"don't try and pass this off as a Bush or Republican fuck-up"

Not necessary, it's trivially obvious that's exactly what it is.

Sucker.

seems the law may be involved...

wonder why nobody ever thought of that before?

oh, yeah - we're in the age of obama-shut-the-dissenters-up when they're telling truth/lies!

Will you stop pissing your pants over a SNL skit?

Will you at least look into getting a fucking life?

Getting a little personal aren't we?

I think AnalAmerican (I can't help myself!) is trying to infer that Obama is behind it all somehow. After all I am told He is Jesus and Jesus is Magic!

Obama made it magically disappear to control our thoughts!

All Hail the power of Obama!

Hey Anal...

Obama has given me permission to repost this skit now that He has edited it in order to control your thoughts.

www.thrfeed.com

All hail the mighty Obama!

OOga chucka! OOga chucka!

Wher's my bailout check? I have to pay off my mortgage. Hey AIG spent $440,000 for an Exec's week retreat at an posh resort in Califoria.

Doc,

Every post you listed says, no longer available. For the lobotomized like yourself that means "pulled." Like the other brilliant left-wing Intelligentsia on this site, you proved the point of person you were trying to ridicule. Good job.

Already noted and reacted to above. As usual, Mutt, you're a day short and a couple of "aha's" short of a clue.

Why? I read some of her blog (because you brought attention to it), and it reads like the Huffington Post, but in the opposite direction. So, I can see how you fell about it. Huffington tries to poke fun at Conservatives (mostly neocons) and Malkin succeeds in pointing out the shortcomings of the Left.

Eddie

So, what's the problem?

#5 | Posted by Doc_Sarvis

So, what's the problem, Doc?

SNL makes fun of Palin, McCain, and Republicans. The skits are posted on Youtube and everyone has a laugh.

As soon as they make fun of the Libs in Congress all hell breaks loose? They scramble like hell to take down every reference to this HUGE mistake?

But, leave all the McCain and Palin skits alone?

Let's see. Making fun of Democrats and posting it on Youtube is a copyright violation, but doing the EXACT same to McCain and Palin is not. Hmmmmm.

Eddie, read Richard Hofstadter's "The Paranoid Style in American Politics" (karws.gso.uri.edu), take two aspirins and check in for a nap. Oh, and don't forget to check under the bed. There might be a boogeyman there.

Doc,

So ignorance is bliss? Is that what you are trying to say here?

:)

Is it mostly denial? Just make sure that you believe what your Corporatized MSM tells you.

Doc,

I finished your article and it's very interesting and I can see how it applies today.

Obama was using it last night. He uses scare tactics, that are unfounded, (just like in the article) to scare people into voting for him.

Sorry, I didn't listen to McCain. I can't stand him!

For example. Every reference to healthcare, Obama used a scare tactic that was so far from being true, that I actually started talking back to him! (I scared myself). 2 false references in less than 60 seconds.

However, I did learn that he is listening to McCain and is willing to give tax "credits" to businesses who buy the Government Sponsored insurance for their employees.

So, Doc, I read your article and applied it to Libs.

Sorry, I didn't listen to McCain. I can't stand him!

#60 | Posted by Eddie

I'm sure that McCain uses the same tactics.

In fact, not just McCain, but most of Congress, the Fat Cats on Wall Street (not the little guy) and Bush were using scare tactics to get us to accept the bailout. They said something to the effect that the Stock Market would [go to zero] and there would be a World-wide Depression "never before seen".

Did the scare tactics work? No. I think people are much more afraid of Government than a 20% drop in the stock market (which would have happened immediately with no bail out)

Out of 200 people calling their Congressman, 1 person wanted the bail out to happen.

Two characters in a sketch about the Congressional bailout are no longer labeled "people who should be shot" in the revised version of the video, which was posted online Tuesday evening. Those two characters represented actual people, Herb and Marion Sandler, who sold subprime loans to Wachovia.

And if the only changes are the absence of inciting violence, will you admit that you're a little fucking ninny?

Yep, I can do that too :)

I'm really not interested in what McCain has to say. He will not be winning...

However, I am afraid enough to listen to what Obama has to say.

So far, he's not said anything that will actually help America.

Speaking of SNL skits, has Biden been lampooned lately other than the VP debate skit? He has provided some great material with which to work.
