As the deadline for voter registration arrives today in many states, Sen. Barack Obama's campaign is poised to benefit from a wave of newcomers to the rolls in key states in numbers that far outweigh any gains made by Republicans.

"Go Springstein. Bring in the crowds. Back me Oprah. Sing for me Babs. Campaign for me Matthews. Cover for me Olbermann and keep the eyes off of me."

Someone has to bring the crowds.

Ah, you're just jealous.

Don't worry though, you have major stars on your side, too.

Bo Derek
Chuck Norris
Patricia Heaton

I've been registering kids in droves on the local junior college campus quad. Sometimes six deep at the table. Got two Republicans one day. The bastard must have registered twice. The 18-21 crowd knows the score. Now if only it will vote! herm

Ted, you forgot Britney. The mostest hottest babest evah.

Is Bo are Repubber? She was a real ten in the last Barry's day. herm

Janine Turner

Janine Turner's far hotter than Britney.

FACT!

President Algore and President Kerry both said the 'youth vote' would make the difference for them.

You're right, Vernon, the kids have a habit of making a lot of noise during the primary season then not showing up in November.

Maybe this year...

Never in my life time have I seen all sectors of our great society having political debates, in work, in restaurants, trains, planes, automobiles, in lines, etc...

The young are beginning to see that they have had enough.

I am just surprise at those young who think they are part of the bourgeois republican class.

No it didn't make the difference for them Vermit.

But ole Bush sure left his mark......

Thanks Verm....

You knew best the last two fucking elections and you think the country is going to listen to the likes of you again???

Why are you such a crabby fuck anyway???

This must be one of the crabbiest posts I've ever read here -- and that says a lot as it comes from someone whose handle is about how he has to beat his meat for a little action.

As for the last two elections, I simply observed that both Prez Algore and Prez Kerry said the 'youth vote' would be the margin of victory.

You got a problem with that? Take it up with the losers who said it, dipshit.

"But ole Bush sure left his mark......"

Amusing to see there are still creeps running around who automatically think about Bush at every turn.

The topic is the mystical 'youth vote' but what does the topic matter.

All you can think of is Bush. He consumes your mind.

Loser

Amusing to see there are still creeps running around who automatically think about Bush at every turn.

He's only still the president.

Fuck, you losers are still obsessed with clintons ding dong almost a decade later.

whose handle is about how he has to beat his meat for a little action.

Yeah yeah

You'd beat yours too, with any hand, if you had a hit of Viagra you old crabby FUCK!

LOL

Poor Crackpipejenkem, he's gonna be sobbing into his favorite colostomy bag when Obama wins in a landslide on Nov. 4.

The right needs to clean house. Its current agenda was designed to squeeze out a couple of victories by appealing to yesterday's people. New generations of young people and immigrants take a look at that and see nothing there for them. What do they care about Christian fundamentalism? They are far more tolerant about gays, minorities and a woman's right to choose than the older generations that put Bush in the White House. Add the pissed off independents and the fact that this older generation is dying off and you have a party chasing its own ass to nowhere.

The right's worst nightmare is a high turnout but Vernon's point that we've seen this before and in the end the youth vote hasn't turned out is a valid one. Until it isn't.

This time I think they WILL turn out in sufficient numbers. They have an active, charismatic candidate whose campaign has engaged them and the opposition consists of yesterday's man and an attractive but shallow fundie running the same old, same old smear and slime campaign that so many are sick to death of. The final straws are the economy tanking, a war in Iraq that Bush got us into under false pretenses that is dragging on and on and on and going nowhere and the deeply unpopular Bush himself sitting uselessly in the White House while the shit builds up around him and us everywhere.

These idiots keep spouting off about ACORN when it is no big deal. I guess you have to argue with what you got and apparently for Republicans it ain't much.

Besides something that the right is clinging desperately to as they go under, WTF is ACORN anyway? I don't give a shit and I suspect that the vast majority of everybody except Bush's 22% don't either.

Danni is the dumbshit whose record skipped on "Diebold diebold diebold" for about 4 years, but voter fraud via ACORN is unimportant, because it helps a Dem.

Spin spin spin Manni.

Voter fraud, huh? Not a subject that the right needs people to be thinking about after Diebold, Florida and Ohio, I'd have thought. But what do I know?

But what do I know?

Apparently you don't know much.

It's ok for "your side" to do it, but you loudly object to boogeyman scenarios from the other side.

Voter fraud is voter fraud. You either are OK with it (like you and Danni) or you are against it no matter who is doing it.
Keep your head in the sand and don't dare seek out more info on ACORN, it may make you uncomfortable.

I personally get a bit pissed off when my vote is negated by someone commiting fraud. I'm surprised you didn't defend Acorn and claim everyone opposed is racist.

Crickets.

Wow, who would have guessed that you guys would pretend to not see the posts. Ignorance is bliss they say.

Thing is, people who work for ACORN have been prosecuted for turning in fraudulent voter registrations. This is actual documented evidence of a widespread attempt to commit voter fraud in swing states, far more evidence than was ever presented with regard to Diebold. Yet lefties only squawk about one of the two - why is that?

I don't know why that is, Joe. Let's ask Danni and BlueinBushland...
Oh wait, I already did, but they conveniently haven't come back to the thread to answer.

Here, I'll do it for them: We don't care about actual voter fraud when we can let our tiny little minds pretend something far more sinister is going on with Republicans. We don't know what ACORN is because we don't care about proven corruption that benefits Dems.

In Nevada, ACORN (Obama surrogate) office has been raided for voter fraud probe.
