I have nothing personal against Sarah Palin (although I think she's a lousy mother who puts her lust for the political limelight before her young children). Still, she'd probably be fun to just hang around with as a friend. But as very possibly the next President -- absolutely NOT.
Come on, she doesn't have a clue on foreign affairs, she's "incurious", backwards as far as science and evolution, and bases her future decisions on foreign affairs with way too much religion involved -- such as her willingness to allow Israel to get away with anything it wants.
Err, do those traits sound familiar? Just like the same clown we've had in the Oval Office for the last eight years.
The LAST thing our country needs is another "useful idiot" as President -- a jovial, good ol' boy (or good ol' gal) who will do exactly as told by the Neocons who already have their claws in her.
Forget about political party for a minute -- what stuns me about the Republicans is that they are so blinded and puzzled why McCain's foisting of some absolutely clueless and totally ill-prepared woman on us as a possible VP (let alone President) is seen as a direct slap in the face by the majority of Americans. To McCain , his picking of Palin comes off like just some stunt, a novelty act to help him get elected -- like McCain does not take the positions of VP and President with any seriousness at all.
If there ever was a time in history when Ameicans need a President with brains, ability, and seriousness to be able to handle the mess we've been put in for the last eight years it's this election.
How dare McCain play games with our country by trying to foist some too cutsey, folksy, phony like Palin on our country. It's an insult to all Americans that McCain wants to turn the VP position into a joke. Palin hasn't had an original thought in her head that was a GOP talking point since she first opened her mouth.
And Palin has had enough time now to convince me and most Americans she definitely is not a quick learner.
