Politics makes strange bedfellows. But one fellow most Democrats know they don't want to be in bed with is Barack Obama. The other choice, John McCain, doesn't sound too appealing to many Democrats either. The third choice is, as Sarah Palin would no doubt support, is abstinence. But the argument some make is that abstinence is the same as voting for John McCain. And it is.

why, danni?

did you look at his profile? he fits perfectly the bill of a democrat.

If you TRULY believe McCain is closer to the Democratic political position because of this article and its series of half truths and propaganda, then you TRULY do not Democrats.

PS. I am an independent.

A Principled Democrat

Definition:

(Noun)
1. Oxymoron
2. Paradox
3. A contradiction of terms

he's trying, jeffj!

A Principled Republican

Definition:

(Noun)
1. Oxymoron
2. Paradox
3. A contradiction of terms

Evidence: The GOP held the reigns of power (executive and legislative) from January 2003 until January 2007. What "principles" did they exhibit?

Did they balance the budget during that time?
Did they outlaw abortion ("Human Life Amendment" to the US Constitution) during that time?
Did they reduce the size of government?
Did they eliminate even one government agency?
Did they privitize Social Security?

Care to explain how this "fits perfectly the bill of a democrat"?

artist, writer, filmmaker - duh!

artist, writer, filmmaker - duh!

Sounds like David Zucker.

So, accomplished creative types are Dems? Makes sense.

You can't rise to a position of prominence within either major party while sticking to principles. This is common knowledge. Yet it is a "waste" to vote for people who don't belong to these criminal organizations.

And these people consider Hillary had principles?

It's just racism, of which we will see many "subtle" examples in the next four weeks.

But I am not worried.

People are less dumb than they are taken for.

They will not vote for McPain and Sarah Cain

"But one fellow most Democrats know they don't want to be in bed with is Barack Obama."

What utter bullsh*t. Or is the fact that Obama is currently leading in the national polls indicitive of overwhelming support for Obama by Republicans?

nanc, if you're looking for a Democrat who has insight you'd do better than to choose a Larry Johnson-lite type character.

You mean there are actually still some Democrats who aren't socialism swilling sociopaths who wear red underwear? It's a dying breed, that's for sure.

"So, accomplished creative types are Dems? Makes sense."

Yes, it does.

tsyf - it's a myth - much the same that all republicans are rich, white, trailer trash. do you see the ridiculousness of my statement now?

oh, did i mention he's jewish and lives in new york?

"do you see the ridiculousness of my statement now?"

Yes. Everytime you post.

like a moth to a flame...

"oh, did i mention he's jewish and lives in new york?"

There are more Jews in NYC than in Jerusalem.
What's your point?
Oy vay.

read the whole thread, doc.

like a moth to a flame...

"TRULY do not Democrats" was supposed to be "TRULY do not understand Democrats"

I am a proof reading douche.

go ahead - it's not my blog.

"read the whole thread, doc."

I did.
The word "Jew" isn't in there.
The term "New York" appears once.
Yet you write: "oh, did i mention he's jewish and lives in new york?"
Okay, yes, you did mention he's a Jew who lives in New York.
Let me try again: What does him being a Jew in New York have to do with anything?

doc - i was "generalizing" the authenticity of the political affiliation of the author of the piece - nevermind - my sarcasm was lost on you. i was going off his profile page.

I think it probably goes beyond sarcasm, Nanc.
You made your point, and it was odious.

no more so that how the left perceives the right - wouldn't you agree?

let's vote for obama because p.diddy's scared of sarah!

She'd better watch out-if P Diddy is scared of her-she could be in BIG trouble!.....

No-let's vote for Obama because he'd be a much better President than McBush-or the "muckluck" mooseiah....

i'm writing in a candidate.

i'm writing in a candidate.

I beg to differ.

ok - so may i count on your vote?

From the article: "And with McCain promising that he will only serve one term, that becomes even more attractive. In 2012 there will be two new candidates running even if McCain wins."

Say what? McCain hasn't promised anywhere he'd only serve one term.

it's been hinted at...on a number of occasions.

soooooooo, can i count on your vote, rcade?

okay - so that's two noes.

Those hints weren't very good, Nanc. He didn't pledge one term at the RNC. He hasn't come close to saying it himself.

i doubt he'll go two - if he's even capable of the staying power of a one.

Palin has no clue and is brianless, McCain isa spinning out of control and the only person who has maintained his composure thru this long election cycle has been Barack Obama.

i've been brianless since i divorced my first husband, joe.

um, joe? do you have spellcheck by chance? or on purpose? how about a gramcheck? do you think you could use them on occasion?

'Palin has no clue and is brianless'

Classic.

Write in Lawrence Mohr.

Bwahahahahahahahahaha

We don't even have to Google "101" to know what kind of person he is...

One who cracks jokes about kicking women in the vagina, throwing trash at firemen, or any other thing only a real sicko like him could conceive.

Say what? McCain hasn't promised anywhere he'd only serve one term.

He thinks he deserves the state funeral when he dies in office - funeral caisson, 2 days in the Capitol Rotunda, the whole works. His massive ego would never handle stepping down from the Presidency if he were elected by some miracle (or voter suppression scheme).

The only principled Democrat is Russ Feingold.

well i don't see any objections, joe - so russ it is!

it is like this NANC- MCCAIN=BUSH (not OBAMA=BUSH) so trying to weasel out of that ain't happening no matter how much you PRAY on it! You will need a much better SPIN cycle than even the O'Lielly has.

And Hey Chairpuddles did you know that they dropped the charges against Amy Goodman and ALL the journalists!

Gee, they must have been just feeling so charitable that day right? NO, they HAD TO! They had no case.

So sorry loser... your lust for Jack Booted Thuggery is a No-Go!

So, what was that again about the last laugh you goofy POS?

have another chug, donnerboy.
