In two years, Star City in Russia will be the only place that can send astronauts from any nation to the International Space Station after the U.S. shuts down the space shuttle program. The shuttle's replacement won't be ready until 2015.

Why does America want to be in the space business with Communists?

'Cause we're broke!

So now we have to play nice with the commies.

Oh, G.W., Don't say it's so!

We should let SpaceX get up and running and pay them to do it.

SpaceX, hell, ... Rutan.

It's been a while.
I hate the french.

Zat, you do realize that virgin galactic is likely at least a decade away from orbital velocities, right?

"virgin galactic"

Of course.

But I really like the name.

*** U.S. Space Plan Relies on Russia ***

......for what.?....vodka powered rocket boosters ?.....

......but seriously, this does go to show how we have surrendered the lead in human progress by electing substandard leaders........

Trust the Russians what an outstanding idea, almost as good as signing a peace treaty with Hitler. Let's see is there any way we could possibly fuck ourselves over any more than we already have.

Hmmmmm

No that should just about do it

"Let's see is there any way we could possibly fuck ourselves over any more than we already have. "

Keep voting for Republican imbeciles.

(I know, that's redundant.)

"Let's see is there any way we could possibly fuck ourselves over any more than we already have. "

No wait I have it Elect Obama and keep Nancy Pelosie in office...

We need two countries. Anyone who would be proud to have Ataxpayer as a fellow citizen needs to be a citizen of another country.

I can't see myself giving my life for his rights or family. How about you?

Me to I'll hide in the helicopter with Biden while you go in...

Bob,
Maybe if you are armed with an antenna you could make the other bastard give his life for Ataxpayer's family and freedoms? Hell, even if you can't, it's still worth it for you to try...

Good luck boob, and thanks for making the retort...errrrrr...the world a better place with your sacrifice.

Actually, ending the shuttle program is just a step to get the Constellation Program up and running. While I dislike the fact that we have to rely on the Russians to provide manned space flight for several years, by 2015 we'll have advanced human progress in terms of space flight by attempting to return to the moon and hopefully beyond (Mars by 2030 I believe). The shuttle is great but is currently doing little to advance human progress in space.

A little known fact: The US launched no manned spacecraft between 1975 and 1981 - 6 years of no flights! And the last launch was a joint flight between the US and - you guessed it! - Russia. However, the shuttle program came out of this break and has given us a huge advantage in space. One can only imagine what will be developed in the Constellation Program (Orion and Ares).

101--Ataxpayer

SOOooo are you saying you want your country half full of libtards and hippies who just want to suck off the government tit for their whole lives? Is that what you are saying, booby? Ya say ya haven't had enough of these liberal assholes standing in the way of your glorious conservative future? Is that your lament bunky? Ya say you'd rather live under Hussein Obama in liberal lalaland, rather than the hero McCain in your own righteous country? Is that what you are saying bubby? Then let's hear you say it---find some nuts and tack them on---let's hear you say you'd rather live under Hussein Obama rather than McCain in your own country.

I've heard your excuses for dancing around this already---but the truth is--you can't say it because you have
no nuts--gonads--balls--courage-- honesty.

Simple isn't it.

;-)

I'm not sure what you're talking about, but then again, either are you. Are you going to give your life for ataxpayer or not? Hell, what ever it is you want me to say to get you to do it is fine with me...

Bartimus, thanks for the optimistic post, and I think it is good that we are forced to be friendly with Russia.

Maybe you can ask big brother china to give you guys a lift for a couple of years, probably a bit of room in the baggage compartment for one or two small sized american asstronuts.

Buffola Bob,

May I suggest changing your bong water, I read your post and it sounds more like incoherent ramblings.
