I was so excited, when i went to israel to see the river jordan and the sea of galilee. What a disappointment. I can jump across the river jordan.

the locals told me that the river jordan, which feeds the sea of galilee, used to be pretty big but it is being sucked dry upstream. They also seemed to be of one mind that if a big territorial war ever broke out in the middle east, the cause would be water, not oil.

Also, the dead sea is disappearing.
