Paul Krugman: The financial and economic news since the middle of last month has been really, really bad. And what's truly scary is that we're entering a period of severe crisis with weak, confused leadership.

Bret and Bart?

Paladin will take them both.

I think about the severity of the economic crisis and the effect it could have on average Americans and then I think about John McCain and SArah Palin.....and I thank God Barack is leading in the polls....hopefully enough to make it hard to steal the election.

"So, Ms. Palin, as the economic news gets worse, what's your economic plan"?

"Don't know yet, haven't finished reading the Book of Revelations."

"So, Ms. Palin, as the economic news gets worse, what's your economic plan"?

"I'll have to get back to ya on that."

So, Ms. Palin, what exactly do you mean by the phrase "new energy," which you use at every opportunity?

"Hon, I may not answer that question the way you want me to, so I'll just have to get back at ya!" *wink*

Palin is such a lightweight and a fraud to boot.

Biden is not ready to be Vice President: he was wrong on article one (constitution) and on the role of Vice President as president of the Senate. (But liberals will not highlight this out of embarassment)

Sarah is the next Vice President of the USA!

I haven't heard about this Tak, please explain.

Article I
Section 1. All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives

Section 3. The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each state, chosen by the legislature thereof, for six years; and each Senator shall have one vote.

The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no vote, unless they be equally divided.

the righties are incorrectly stating that the VP's role is defined in Article 2

Article II

Section 1. The executive power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his office during the term of four years, and, together with the Vice President

forest-trees

do we really want the VP or the P to have more power?

www.washingtontimes.com

Benfranklin....

1. Article one is talking about the legislative, yet Biden thought it was the executive.

2. The veep is always the President of the Senate and can always preside over it if necessary, not just limited to the time he/she has to vote.

But because of other duties, the veep of his/her own accord can decide not to preside on most meetings.

the point he was making was to limit the VP's power from the cheney power grab

is anyone against that?

BTW biden was pointing out the VP's role in the senate

to vote in ties

Krugman and other prophets of doom on the wacky left would welcome an economic meltdown because they could gain more power on "the March of the Volunteers" toward a Marxist Socialist State. Besides, Krugman is lonely living in the city with those non-working scumbags and he thinks we will all have to move back to join him.

what was really pathetic about the Presidential Debates is neither candidate would answer Jim Lehrer's questions with any commitment, specifics or clarity.

Turns out on Free Speech TV they explained that a secret bi-partisan group expelled the League of Women Voters" and took over management of the debates wih only the best interests of the duoploy in mind. They lock out third parties and write pages of rules which severely restrict questions and answers, particularly rebuttals.

This phoney exercise in "Freedom and Democracy" has been going on since Clinton's second campaign when he stipulated that the debates had to be held at the same times the World Series.

The League of Women Voters would have made sure people like Kucinich, Nader and Paul were included in the debates and would have widened the questions. But they are locked out now by people who do not want their criminal behaviors exposed.

You are not told the truth or permitted a voice in policy, but you get to choose the personality you like the most. The crooks then just get to continue their Royal Scam programs. You must pay when they lose but reap no benefit when they win. If you don't like this arrangement, many riot police are being trained to deal with you.

This guy makes me miss Tadowe. There was a guy who could deliver paranoid rants with style and humor. Its like we've replaced Curly with Shemp.

Has anyone ever wondered who we are bailing out?

Has anyone ever wondered if all this paper were such a good deal for the tax payer, why hasn't someone else bought it?

Has anyone ever whondered why the banks made all thoes bad loans? It wasn,t because they could make a bunch of money on them. It was because congress forced them to do it so everyone could have an afordable home.

Has anyone ever wondered why property shouldn't be listed at current value? Lets carry it on the books for the outragous price we payed for it, not what its realy worth. SHIT!!!!!!!!!

It was because congress forced them to do it so everyone could have an afordable home.

its not prophets of doom to point out that the fucking economy IS going to shit the bed starting this month..in a major way. If you think the bail out is going to work I have a bridge to know where to sell you.

The stock market will crater once the 10000 mark has been crossed.

japan did the same shit when the Nikkei was at 38K and it fell over 80% even with intervention.

The carrot at the end of the stick.

Here is a question: What role did Barney Fag have in this current economic crisis?

None whatsoever.

It is physically impossible for a Democrat-supported, bigger-government role in our economy and lives to result in anything other than Utopia.

come on guys.. you cant absolve 12 years of congress and 8 of a republican president in less than 2 years of a dem congress and its not a super majority. The president can veto anything and has been prolific.

Legio they are trying to wash their hands of their support of the Republican mantra. I find it dastardly funny.
